I don't think Eve is a twin - she was surrogate for sister but I can't remember it ever being said they were twins.

giraffesCantReachTheirToes · 23/11/2016 23:13

In the case of the man in America with the 3 girls one was jealous of the other 2. Her family gave up and she had issues with them anyway. The other 2 girls families had campaigned etc. And apparently they were shown news reports on this to mess with their minds

Missanneshirley · 23/11/2016 23:13

I don't understand how gettrick could have been blackmailing the other 2 - if anything he owes them?

Grumble. My mistake. A hidden twin would add new depths. Reddit had something about eve being the 3rd girl in the photo. I don't think that's true at all but there are some wild theories about

LizzieMacQueen · 23/11/2016 23:15

That was the first time Sam had been to the grave I think, I'm sure that was a big thing in earlier episodes, that he wouldn't visit the grave.

So a questioning by him, he's coming round to Baptiste's viewpoint. maybe he has heard rumours of Gettrick's tastes before.

How did Stone and Reed know where to go and find Gettrick in Iraq? They knew the exact house, but not the owner, nor that he was former Republican Guard.

Why was the Iraqi 13 year old daughter allowed to leave the house alone that night? Unusual in those circumstances.

giraffesCantReachTheirToes · 23/11/2016 23:17

My shower curtain is blowing slightly because of the air vent beside it. I've convinced myself drilla is behind it and will get me if u look. If I don't look it's OK.

LizzieMacQueen · 23/11/2016 23:17

Maybe they'll find Ollie in the basement!

Manumission · 23/11/2016 23:18

I agree.

If the whole idea is that they were blackmailed into helping and covering up for Gettrick's kidnappings using just his knowledge of the fire and the death of the girl in Iraq, well that's very weak IMO. Even if you throw in Reed's weakness for transsexual sex workers as additional blackmail fodder, it just doesn't feel enough to secure the complicity of two otherwise decent men in something so horrific.

I had no idea that Alice would reappear!

Am wondering now if Henry Reed as a doc treated Sophie and told Drilla she would have to have op and that's why Sophie put flowers on his grave. But Henry seemed decent compared with the rest of them so would have fessed up so Drilla did him in. But cannot think why Brig forced Sophie to identify the Butcher? Unless it was in case the Iraq story came out.

LizzieMacQueen · 23/11/2016 23:19

They knew the exact house

Hadn't they been there before - sounded like they all trawled the villages looking for sex - they said something like 'this is where Adam's girlfriend is'.

Was the father really a drunk - Nadia says so - if so then it's plausible that the children were a bit wild.

Manumission · 23/11/2016 23:20

It's a shame because some of the plotting is fabulous.

Yes that makes sense. He was the best of the lot and most likely to wobble and need silencing (assuming he'd gone along with it in the first place). And kind, so the girls would have appreciated that.

But cannot think why Brig forced Sophie to identify the Butcher? Unless it was in case the Iraq story came out.

That must be the idea. It all feels a bit slight do any it?

LineyReborn · 23/11/2016 23:24

There's something not right with the Iraq story.

BurnTheBlackSuit · 23/11/2016 23:24

13year old Iraqi girl survived, but wasn't with her brother...

Also Alice and Sophie being the same age, the right age to have been conceived in Iraq seems a massive coincidence...

Iraqi girl survived and was mother of Sophie or even Alice? Drillas kidnapping is revenge??

Manumission · 23/11/2016 23:26

Oh this is making me ITCH.

Only an hour left to explain it all, find them and tie it all up.

And a whole week to wait.

LineyReborn · 23/11/2016 23:27

So 13 year old Iraqi girl in current time would be 38?

shinynewusername · 23/11/2016 23:29

Why was the Iraqi 13 year old daughter allowed to leave the house alone that night?

I think Stone & Reed were given a glimpse of her to explain why Reed managed to rationalise not reporting Gerrick and also why Reed did not realise Gerrick was a paedophile, so suspect him when Alice went missing. (I don't believe Reed knew about Gerrick's abductions because it doesn't make sense that Reed would be so guilt stricken about the Iraqi girl that he was paying off her family years later, but prepared to cover up 3 girls being raped & imprisoned.)

Presumably Reed - after initially being shocked ("she's the same age as Eve") -convinced himself that Gerrick thought she was older. So, in his mind, Gerrick was a bit dodgy and liked inappropriately young women, but was not a paedophile.

Manumission · 23/11/2016 23:29

Maybe that's it Liney. Maybe there's a bit more about Iraq '91 to be revealed.
