I'm in the UK so it won't be on until tomorrow night, so I'd better stay away from here for a bit. Enjoy, everyone! (that's not the word, not after last week's, but you know what I mean...)

I've got a ton of lesson plans to write, so can envisage me having to rewind a lot again tonight on bits I've missed! And helping out at cubs first so can't get set up and started before hand!

Was Sophie abused by her father?

We don't know much about Sophie's relationship with her father. We know he was a suspect when she first disappeared which led to her English mother committing suicide. He now works in a DIY store on the outskirts of Paris and wasn't exactly rushing over to Germany when Julien told him she might still be alive. We don't know much about Sophie at all - we were presuming for long enough that she was Alice. Sophie has no connection to the base that we know of - she has been taken much farther from home than the other girls.

I have to go out to a work dinner tonight - aargh! Thank goodness for iPlayer. Looking forward to catching up with you all later on.

If the dishy German policeman is alive I would be delighted but disappointed. Delighted because he is a nice distraction from the gloom but disappointed at an "aha he didn't die when a nutter set about him with a black and decker" plot point.

He did something with the drill that took some time and involved the nice police fellow's eye are judging from the angle

I fantasise that Jorn will be adorning my screen with close ups for the remainder of the series - but I fear I may be disappointed
