Well, lovely policeman is probably down there for starters...

ClassmateHB · 23/11/2016 22:16

I'm now watching Greys anatomy and planning my lesson tomorrow to calm down!

whyistherumgone · 23/11/2016 22:16

I SO want Alice to be reunited with Gemma and Sam.

Seriously, is it next Wednesday yet?

ClassmateHB · 23/11/2016 22:16

Anonymum I think you're right about jorn!

CremeEggThief · 23/11/2016 22:17

O.M.G. Alice is alive! Who saw that coming?Shock

GrumbleBumble · 23/11/2016 22:18

Cheshire we have establish that Reed was probably murdered rather than suicide.

ceeveebee · 23/11/2016 22:18

Such a good episode. So harrowing to see Alice in that dark cupboard. I think Sophie will free Alice and they'll both turn on Getttick

I thought Jorn's body was disposed of in car park bin?

FabulouslyGlamourousFerret · 23/11/2016 22:23

Jorn is in the boot of his car in the multi storey isn't he? I think the basement will just have evidence that Alice has lived down there and is still alive.

FabulouslyGlamourousFerret · 23/11/2016 22:25

Also I think Sophie hates Driller and is just complying to keep Lucy (and maybe Alice) safe

braceybracegirl · 23/11/2016 22:27

Sorry who said 'not a child anymore' and who was it about and in what context?

Optimist1 · 23/11/2016 22:29

Excellent point about the Swiss francs, Wips!

raisedbyguineapigs · 23/11/2016 22:29

I definitely think there is something dodgy about Stone. And the surrogacy thing is an odd thing to stick in too. I think as Alice is alive, it would be easy for him to just swab her mouth and pass it off in the lab as the dead girl, who is probably Lena. I hope Sophie does turn on Get truck and it's all an act. I'd have thought she would have worked out that she is getting too old for him, but Lucy is in danger Sad

SarahJessicaParkersLostCurls · 23/11/2016 22:30

Did anyone else notice that Aldi woman said to Baptiste 'just because he (Adam) did that in Iraq (or words to that effect) doesn't mean he took two girls and kept them for years, in his HOUSE.' How does she know about 'house'? As far as anyone knows at this stage they were kept in the woods? Or am I completely confused or remembering it wrong??

AnnieNoMouse · 23/11/2016 22:31

Bracey - Stone said it to Sophie when she was still pretending to be Alice.

Floellabenjaminsearrings · 23/11/2016 22:32

I really hope we are going to get an explanation of the Brig and Reed connection. As awful as the death of a 9 year old is; in those circumstances i.e. rescuing a colleague, lets face it, it would probably have been swept under the carpet by the Army. It is not on a par with the abduction and imprisonment of 3 girls. I know the Brig is a career orientated arrogant prick and would have lost his career, but as a father I don't see how even he could have allowed Drilla to get away with it. It just makes no sense as to how he knew Sophie/Alice.

MoonfaceAndSilky · 23/11/2016 22:32

Yes I thought that SarahJessicaParkersLostCurls but then thought I must be getting confused Confused

raisedbyguineapigs · 23/11/2016 22:32

Yes, she's dodgy too. Why was she do angry when Baptists said her husband was innocent? You would have thought she would want to believe that.

MintChocChips · 23/11/2016 22:32

Wow, that was such a good episode! Alice is alive! Please please please don't kill her off next week and let her be reunited with Gemma and Sam.

I think Gettrick must have been blackmailing Stone and Reed to help him somehow. Sophie liked Reed, I think he must have helped her medically.

How do we think it's going to end? It's not going to be the happy ending that I want is it?

shinynewusername · 23/11/2016 22:32

I think Lucy is just straightforwardly Sophie's baby. It is overcomplicating it if Lucy is Alice's baby, and Sophie had a baby who died. Although Lucy did show Jorn a picture of "me and mummy in the basement"

I agree that Lucy is Sophie's baby. Lucy explains why Drilla is able to control Sophie without imprisoning her - if she misbehaves, Lucy gets hurt Sad. The "me and mummy" comment still works because we know Sophie was kept locked up till recently - we saw Sophie & Lucy locked up (albeit in a bedroom, not the basement, but he probably moved them around).

I think Sophie has been playing along till she could get Lucy (and maybe Alice, depending on how she really feels about her) out of Drilla's house. Now she has the chance to turn the tables on him, perhaps with Alice's help.

MillieMoodle · 23/11/2016 22:35

Wow! What an episode!

So I think Lena was killed by Gettrick because she found out about Alice and Sophie and threatened to tell. He then needed to dispose of the body so she ended up in the shed. Doesn't explain how the DNA matched Sam's; either the DNA result was lied about, or Lena is Sam's, or the body in the shed was actually Alice's child? But if that's the case, where is Lena?

Why is no-one concerned about Jorn? I know Gettrick texted his friend pretending to be Jorn and said he'd be away for a few days but surely someone would be asking questions?!

I got the impression from Sophie at the cabin that she actually doesn't like Gettrick and is biding her time until she can escape. I think she's playing along to keep her daughter safe.

The PP who said that Gettrick has left his wallet at home which will have Swiss francs in it, so Gemma and co will know where to go, you're a genius!

Need to know what is in the basement. Also need to know how on earth Gettrick managed to get them out of the house and to a theme park without anyone noticing.

The thing with the Brig and the turtle that he told to Sophie; I think he and Henry Reed are the turtle, Gettrick and Nadia are the birds? If either of them squeak, Brig is in a whole heap of shit for going off base against orders, shooting a man, burning a house down and killing a little girl. His career would be shot. I think he knows what's going on with Gettrick but can't speak out because Gettrick is maybe blackmailing him? So he is complicit in framing the butcher as it keeps Nadia quiet too?

I really need to re-watch the previous episodes to see if anything makes sense now we have more info!

raisedbyguineapigs · 23/11/2016 22:36

floella and at the beginning , Sophie said to Stone 'I don't know how you can live with yourself' . So they were familiar, and he was involved in some way.

giraffesCantReachTheirToes · 23/11/2016 22:36

There was a reference to girl being eves age. Wonder if that's significant. Like maybe one of them also raped eve/twin. Otherwise the detail of the surrogacy for the sis is rather irrelevant to the plot. Apart from maybe as a reason why she was upset and started an affair. The fact that they are twins. Therefore same age...and mentioned as being same age as kids that went missing etc . Hhmm.

Bolognaise · 23/11/2016 22:36

So I think Sophie's baby died as she said and Lucy is actually Alices baby "mummy and me in the basement" but Sophie is jealous of Alice and actually has some feelings for Gettrick (Stockholm) and is trying to play fucked up happy families for survival sake. Maybe Alice played a part in her baby dying - pissed off Gettrick and he refused to let Sophie out to have the baby or something

I think gettrick groomed the girls first hence the jealousy or rivalry from Sophie

Floellabenjaminsearrings · 23/11/2016 22:36

Just to clarify I mean't that the killing of the girl, in the context of the story, is not blackmail worthy when the blackmailer has kidnapped and imprisoned 3 girls

HumphreyCobblers · 23/11/2016 22:36

just de lurking to say arghhh

that was horrible. And the monkey! Like the one in the scary Stephen King short story

I hope Sophie is planning to get him and I think she is traumatised by Alice's position in the cellar, feeling guilty but helpless.
