Yes Alice was in the boot.

I think Driller used stone and reed to cover up.

So she knew stone as a family friend.

And reed was the family doctor.

And yes, think Sophie's baby died so she stole Alices.

I think Lucy is Alice's too, but that would make Sophie being groomed and made to work with Gettrick.
I thought she's doing everything for him because of her daughter, but if Lucy isn't her daughter when she must have other reasons to stay with him.

Could Lena have been Gettrick's daughter somehow? And she was the dead shed body. And then gettrick swabbed his own mouth, which matched the dead remains??

Omg!!! Next week will be a race against time. Sophie defo had a baby so if lucy is Alice's what happened to Sophie's child? When will they find German cops body? I think Sophie is very messed up and knows if it isn't alice in basement it would be her. I think she is the "chosen one" cos she had lucy

That yellow lock was the one which was used to lock up Drilla in Iraq. Don't suppose he has a key for it, as it was on a keyring with other keys (i think?) which I don't think got taken by any of the 3 army guys. So whatever is locked down there, is well and truly locked up?

Sophie (as Alice) told Gemma and Sam that "Sophie" didn't behave for their kidnapper - she was talking about real Alice I guess.

i hope drilla doesn't realise Baptiste is out and after him and kills everyone before they can get there!! KH is so good in this.

I still reckon that Sophie kept doing as she was told in the hope that she could save her child and Alice - not sure it was jealousy so much as fear that sophie could end up in the same situation if she did something wrong.

So sophiemis sophie and Alice has been kidnapped with her.

Sophie does seem hostile towards Alice.

Love the twist with getting Alice her childhood toy for behaving.

I would imagine that there is lots of jealously in a fucked up situation like that. Constantly wanting to be the one in favour as you probably get treated better. Sophie probably earned herself a better position by being the mother of his child (a bit like that RL kidnapping in the USA).

I think Lucy is just straightforwardly Sophie's baby. It is overcomplicating it if Lucy is Alice's baby, and Sophie had a baby who died. Although Lucy did show Jorn a picture of "me and mummy in the basement" in other words I haven't a clue and need a lie down

Sophie isn't necessarily complicit, nor jealous ... she may have a master plan and be a goody

Ooh what if Sophie killed Reed? Her baby was ill, driller called Reed, he couldn't save it, she blamed him....?

Maybe sophie's reaction isn't jealousy - maybe she is a goody and hates being reminded that Alice is suffering and locked away? she looked genuinely upset about it when she was telling Gemma and Sam about 'Sophie' and how weak she was...although she is a good actress so who knows.

Oh, that was the best hour's television!!! Wishing away the next week though, including wedding anniversary, rare night out without the DC. I think I may have my priorities wrong!

I didn't watch this thread during the programme as I wanted to concentrate fully, but I've just caught up and all the comments around 21:58 are priceless!

So now we need to know how Stone and Reid were still involved. Why did Stone tell the turtle story to Sophie and that horrid "but you're not a child any more" comment? And why did Reid kill himself? Were they still protecting Drilla so he wouldn't tell anyone about the girl in Iraq?

God I hope it's not a basement of bodies or something. The way this show is going it wouldn't surprise me though.

Is anybody else traumatised? Not sure I will be able to sleep!

cheshire maybe the 'not a child any more ' comment was a warning that she'd better behave because drilla is losing interest in her as she's not young any more - VOM.
But Stone must be complicit. Maybe he and Reed found out and Gettrick blackmailed them with the threat of revealing that they killed the girl in Iraq? (without revealing his own part somehow?) or maybe he has something else on them..
