We stumbled across series one, really enjoyed it, new series coming soon... don't know the date yet??

i was so surprised that a poster above was right in thinking Rennie was pretending to be a synth.

there are so many stories all at once it does get confusing, but enjoyable

I cried when Pete died. DH looked at me like

They can't wrap all the stories up next week can they? I couldn't believe Pete died :( and Rennie! I really thought the twist would be she really y was a conscious child synth!!

Just an idea, wouldn't it be possible for female scientist to manage Pete's death as Leo's was managed at the beginning, ie use the synth technology to bring him back from the dead, so he's a mixture? Not only a happy ending, but would work well for his partnership with Karen (and with Sam, of course).

But Leo didn't die. He was brain dead but his body was attached to ventilators etc so it didn't start shutting down. Pete seems to be physically dead.
I hope Karen resets Hester but I have a horrible feeling Hester will kill more people first ...and that one of them might be Mattie

Sorry APlace, I'd assumed "drowned" meant dead, but don't honestly know enough about it, just hoping for a happy twist in the plot.

I am too emotionally invested I can't live with the hope that Pete could be saved only to have it dashed next week!

Trills I was so angry with Leo. We know they know when people are lying (although I am not sure how they can really know, elevated heart rate is not necessarily just because you are lying, you could be telling someone you love them for the first time!!!!

I think Leo being so stupid just means that he cannot human emotions very well. Mia was complaining in the beginning of the series that they could not guide the new conscious synths, because they have no real experience themselves.

I liked the ending too. It managed to steer away from all the cliches.

I'm interested to know what will happen with V now.

She is a differenet kind of sentient non-human to the sentient synths.

I did wonder, what would Niska have done if Laura had told Mattie not to do it, could Niska have held a knife to Laura and told Mattie to do it or her mum would die?

I think Joe was right to want to move to that place where there were no synths. I think I would want to move there too.

I am not sure how we could ever 'prove' a synth was conscious and not just programmed to appear conscious.

Leo was stupid, but he would also benefit from mixing with other people more. He was a bit like 4-year-old in reception class.

I thought the episode was really good. I also thought Leo was stupid!! Is he pretty much going to be dead now then?? I'm guessing so. Can't believe that!

I thought that scene where the synths were going to kill themselves was very distressing. But also why couldn't the woman be the one driving the car anyway?

purple I think that as Karen is a conscious synth she felt unable to drive into the water, as she knew the consequences. She assumed that the little boy synth would be able to, however, he must have received the code and so realised that he was driving them both to their death.

Karen was unable to commit suicide. She was made that way by Elser (who didn't want her to repeat his wife's pattern). That's why she asked the child synth to drive.

Little boy driving into the water is very AI, the movie. That bit was quite moving.
