Yep, sorry I presumed it was a given the two times lines are about 30/35 years apart probably a silly assumption on my part.

Am starting to think I need to keep a spread sheet I find it incredibly difficult to keep up with everything. I wouldn't mind, we have Maeve with the ability to communicate with hosts whilst Bernard is an actual host:)

I think, we may end up with the fact Hosts control everything.....we're a long way off from finding out.

Orangetoffee · 23/11/2016 12:44

The 30 years apart sounds right, looking at the ages of William and MiB.

My head was spinning after the last episode, might just have to watch it again.

Orangetoffee · 23/11/2016 12:58

Oh and in episode 1 theMiB said he had been coming here for 30 years.

yumyumpoppycat · 23/11/2016 15:05

I thought mib was some kind of sugeon because a customer/visitor at the park recognised him and said he admired his work, also he knew how to do a blood transfusion?

AlabasterSnowball · 23/11/2016 20:11

Yes I think he must be quite famous or at least well known because he's talked about this philaphropy and good work and workers have said to each other that he gets away with what he does because of who he is.
If the MiB is WIlliam it will be interesting to see what made him change so much.
I want to know who all the people in black were right at the end of the elast episode, what was that all about.
I want to know what will happen to Maeve to, I find her really interesting.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 23/11/2016 20:22

Another possible signpost/clue re. William/MiB: did anyone else think William might have finished the young man off when he sent Dolores to get water? I thought she gave him a look almost of suspicion when she came back back and the boy was dead.

GrabtharsHammer · 23/11/2016 20:30

I thought he definitely did.

ijustwannadance · 23/11/2016 22:08

Only just watching new one now. Piano played 'house of the rising sun' at the beginning. Grin.

Poor Bernard. Hope he remembers later on.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 23/11/2016 22:47

I noticed that Ijust - it also played Back to Black later on. I was proud of myself as I don't usually recognise the music!
Yes poor Bernard. Poor Maeve as well, losing her daughter. I love Thandie Newton in this.

RedCrab · 25/11/2016 19:58

I keep forgetting who Wyatt is and why they're looking for him. Sleep deprivation is my excuse.

I keep going back to DH and saying "oh yes there's two timelines because..." And he's like "YOU'VE BEEN READING!"

Grin
TheHiphopopotamus · 25/11/2016 20:36

I think there are three timelines.

35 yrs ago: the scenes where the hosts are dancing and Bernard/Arnold talking to Delores on his own. This is when the 'incident' happens i.e some kind of host 'massacre'.

30 yrs ago: William and Logan arrive at the park.

Now: The Man In Black

Not sure which one Maeve fits into though Confused And also, why did Delores have a 'memory' of herself dead & wearing the trousers (as it were) and floating in the water. Her changing out of the dress is symbolic of her finding her true self, so is this actually part of her programmed narrative, rather than her going rogue?

ijustwannadance · 25/11/2016 22:06

I assumed the bit where her body was floating dead was a previous memory?

Maeve was dancing in the village when dolores went doolally first time.

The bit where she has daughter and was killed was on MIB's last visit. He said a year ago he came and shot kid and stabbed maeve which triggered her into being aware/alive. I assume because she's one of the originals.

Maeve thought she'd been a madam for 5 years but that was false memories. Tech guy told her it's only been a year. Makes it look like all the madam maeve stuff is pretty recent.

Hurts my Brain!

ijustwannadance · 25/11/2016 22:15

If the whole free reign Dolores is a set up maybe Arnold/bernard had re programmed her to try to stop ford in some way. Although it would seem pretty pointless killing other hosts, as they can be easily fixed, this seems to be the trigger for them to become aware and enable them to eventually fight back.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 27/11/2016 11:53

Just watched the last episode back. Maeve says something to Sylvester something like 'you weren't a match for me when you were 14, you're not a match for me now.' What's that about? Would that also put that at about 30 years previously?

Also when the hosts are being trained to dance and a blonde host in a dress wanders off distracted and looks at the sky - is that Armistice, Hector's friend with the snake tattoo on her face? DH and I can't decide!

Also when Sizemore is programming the cannibal host when he's working on the new narrative, on a screen in the background is the horned mask creature who MIB and Teddy encounter. I accept I might have missed something so happy to be proved wrong!

RedCrab · 27/11/2016 16:06

Yes I saw that laundry!

GrabtharsHammer · 27/11/2016 16:10

I thought that referred to her intelligence level? He wasn't a match for her when she was a 14? I've only seen this one once yet so may be wrong.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 27/11/2016 16:17

Grab well that would make a lot more sense so perhaps you are right!

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 27/11/2016 16:33

I've watched it back (lots of time to kill stuck under sleeping baby, hence time to rewatch a million times!) and Grab is quite right. She says 'Even at a 14....'

ijustwannadance · 27/11/2016 17:39

On the screens in background where there's a picture of horned masked creature, there's also a picture of the canyon ford has been digging in the present. But it's the canyon from delores' dreams and where she is with william 30 years ago. (if that is actually the past of course!)

Is Ford purposely re-creating the old village and terrain?

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 27/11/2016 20:19

Well spotted ijustwannadance. I really feel like they want us to think that the William/Logan timeline is the most recent but I just feel like it's all too obvious. I hope they tie this all up in this series!

CiaoVerona · 28/11/2016 14:59

My mind is blown! Can't wait to see what you all think of this weeks episode.

TheHiphopopotamus · 28/11/2016 15:07

I've seen it! Not sure what to make of it yet.

CiaoVerona · 28/11/2016 15:31

Am not gonna post spoilers till later tonight/tomorrow when everyone else has caught up. Can't wait for the season finale......

TheHiphopopotamus · 28/11/2016 16:06

I have a couple of questions about it, but I won't spoiler yet either.

Only had half an eye on the telly though, need to watch it again later with DH.

QforCucumber · 29/11/2016 08:29

We watched it last night, it's cleared up a lot for me, but also baffled me too. I really think they're doing this so well - hope it doesn't get ruined with too many seasons.
