I wonder who Ford is in the earlier narrative? We know he likes to hang out with the hosts. Little boy Ford has brown hair so could Teddy be modeled on a younger version of himself?

TheHiphopopotamus · 22/11/2016 23:25

so could Teddy be modeled on a younger version of himself

I don't know about personality wise but in looks, he's definitely not a younger Ford. There was a flashback earlier in the series where it showed the early days of the park and they CGI'd Hopkins to make him look younger.

yumyumpoppycat · 23/11/2016 07:59

Ok that was obviously the part when I was asleep! I have read the main theory online and it seems pretty convincing so I am grasping at straws for another option. I hope there is a surprise people havent seen coming.

westendgirl780 · 23/11/2016 09:57

Was the girl host who was with Teddy and man in black last night not the same one who checked William in to the park in Ep 2? She had a slinky white dress then. MIB said he thought she'd been retired. That would confirm the multiple timeline thing....

GrabtharsHammer · 23/11/2016 10:12

Yes she was. She was also in Delores' flashback to the populated town.

I'm going with the three (at least) timelines.

35 years ago (the 'incident')(massacre in the town/Wyatt/Delores/Teddy)

30 years ago William comes to the park for the first time, goes to the now buried town with delores.

Present day William aka the man in black is with teddy trying to solve agothe maze, Delores is retracing her steps on her own and finds the now unearthed town, she is flashing back to 30 and 35 years ago.

GrabtharsHammer · 23/11/2016 10:12

...solve the maze. God knows what I just typed.

TheHiphopopotamus · 23/11/2016 11:05

I don't know if it's relevant but she was also in the promo that Maeve saw when the technician was taking her around the building.

TheHiphopopotamus · 23/11/2016 11:08

Oh and also there's a theory online that Bernard is Arnold and when's he's talking to Delores on his own (with the stories) that's from 35 years ago when he was still alive and Arnold (if that makes any sense).

GrabtharsHammer · 23/11/2016 11:09

I'm up for that theory as well. It makes sense.

GrabtharsHammer · 23/11/2016 11:10

I haven't had this much fun speculating since Lost. And what a disappointment that was Grin

I really hope this stays awesome.

CiaoVerona · 23/11/2016 11:11

So, its now confirmed the Man in Black and William are one and the same albeit in two time lines.
When the Man in Black says to the women They recommissioned you she was the same women William spoke too when he got off the train when he first arrived it confirms they are one and the same.

TheHiphopopotamus · 23/11/2016 11:23

I don't think it confirmed it, ciao. It's just another theory to keep you guessing. It's also possible that that was just another piece of misdirection.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 23/11/2016 11:23

Ciao I don't think that's necessarily confirmed. We saw that blonde host in Dolores's flashback which was presumably early on as they were teaching the hosts to dance. It would make more sense to me that William/Logan's timeline is the latest one, and that the blonde host went from a park host to an 'admin' role.

Am I the only one who feels like William being the MIB is just too obvious?

GrabtharsHammer · 23/11/2016 11:25

It pretty much confirms the tow time lines, if not quite confirms that W=MiB.

It's hugely unlikely that blondie would have been a greeter host and then immediately plonked into another narrative on the outskirts of the park.

TheHiphopopotamus · 23/11/2016 11:25

Also seen online that in the promo, Dolores comes face to face with the Man In Black whilst she's wearing the cowboy costume rather than the dress, which just throws up another bit of headfuckery Confused I've no idea where that would fit in the timeline.

CiaoVerona · 23/11/2016 11:36

Well, Laundry I think its confirmed beyond all doubt when the MIB talks about his life outside the park it correlates what we know about William the women from the train being recommissioned is the second give away.

I think, shows like this that have times line jumping all over the place are aware if they jump back and forth with no pay off they run the risk of being another Lost am pretty confident we're looking at two time line there maybe one more .......

TheHiphopopotamus · 23/11/2016 11:46

I think if they'd wanted it to be confirmed beyond all doubt, he would have just said 'my name's William.'

That's not to say that he isn't William. But I don't think that speech confirmed it, nor did the fact that he recognised Tallulah Riley. It's just another piece of the puzzle.

CiaoVerona · 23/11/2016 11:47

It's hugely unlikely that blondie would have been a greeter host and then immediately plonked into another narrative on the outskirts of the park.

The MIB confirms the women is the same women William meets at the strain station its you, i thought they retired you i guess Ford never likes to waste a pretty face. Thandi was not running the salon when her daughter was killed by the MIB another example of a host being reused.

CiaoVerona · 23/11/2016 11:49

Ok, maybe confirm is the wrong word:) anyways its merely my opinion we all see things differently.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 23/11/2016 11:50

What is the women from the train being recommissioned? I think I might have missed something.

CiaoVerona · 23/11/2016 11:51

As Teddy and the Man in Black continue their search for Wyatt, they come upon a bloody scene in which all of Wyatt’s victims are dead except for one, a blond woman clinging to life. Underneath the dirt caked on her face, she can still be recognized as the same host who greeted William when he first arrived at the station and propositioned him in the armory. “I figured they retired you,” says the Man in Black, matter-of-factly. Nope. Like the other hosts, she has just been repurposed.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 23/11/2016 11:57

I see what you mean Ciao, but I feel like they threw that line in to make us think they were the same person. maybe he encountered her on another occasion and we haven't seen it yet? We know he's a frequent visitor. We know blonde host was working in the park near the beginning as she was there when Dolores had a flashback (when she was with W) and we know she also works in the park when MIB is with Teddy. Although I am sure they are showing lots of anomalies to throw us off the track!

Also, Teddy... With all the excitement of timelines/Bernard being a host and what not I had almost forgotten about him... He must be important somehow.

LaundryQueenHatesIroning · 23/11/2016 11:59

Ah, right, I see what you mean now Smile I thought you mean, I was thinking of women on the train in the park and then the train being recommissioned!

GrabtharsHammer · 23/11/2016 12:18

Ciao, sorry, I think my post was confusing. I know she's the same host, she definitely is. I just meant that it's unlikely she'd have been redeployed instantly between William entering the park and the MiB and Teddy meeting her in the same timeline. But if (as I think) there are 30 years between William/MiB then it makes sense.

TheHiphopopotamus · 23/11/2016 12:26

Teddy... With all the excitement of timelines/Bernard being a host and what not I had almost forgotten about him... He must be important somehow

I agree. I thinks he's been fairly low key throughout the season. I reckon there's going to be a big revelation about him in the next two episodes. What that is though, I have no idea. Is he Wyatt? Did he have something to do with the massacre before the Park opened? I dunno. I just don't think they would have gone to the trouble of casting James Marsden for a character that's kind of been in the background a bit.
