although slightly enjoyed the family dynamics going on last night, unfortunately DD's favourite programme and in fact Guardian seems to recommend it^

40,000 posts, fireside wrestling contests, fan-fiction, autograph requests, carol concerts, CJ Grand Tours later we are about to watch the last episode of series 2. And that first post is a distant memory.

We tried a bit of early trick and treating with in the village but it looks like they're sticklers for on the night only around here, so we're going out again on Monday.

Back home and pjs on for strictly now.

Hi everyone. Had a busy day as I was entertaining a friend up from Manchester and she stayed longer than I anticipated, hence not being able to watch SCD live. Must admit, I'm not really keen on the Hallowe'en week so skipped through a lot of the recording. Tess and Claudia are really, really starting to annoy me this series.

Going to alter the clocks and watches around the house then off to bed I think for an early night. I seem to be getting later and later going to bed at the moment.

Morning all. Last to post yesterday and first to post today. It's been very quiet all week on here. Is everyone caught up with half term? We have some half terms only starting this weekend whereas some schools are back tomorrow.

I've just ordered something over the phone to be delivered into a store. The young girl taking the order was seriously irritating me although she was being quite helpful. As I was giving out my card details, also having to spell out my name and email address, she kept saying "amazing" over and over again. I wasn't sure what was amazing about having to read out the numbers on a bank card, but clearly I missed the point somewhere along the line. I am a fully fledged grumpy old woman these days.

Been hectic here! Am shattered now

Fri night I was out with one of the OG ladies from FB, yesterday was Hubbys 40th so we took boys to Liverpool for the day. Then they stayed overnight with in-laws whilst we went out. We all met up after lunchtime for few drinks.

I think the DVD I won has turned up but need to collect it from post office tomorrow.

I watched strictly earlier forwarding the inane chatter

We've had a quiet day here, DS has a cough and woke me up at 4:30. Country walks, pub lunch and a nap was about all I could manage. Poor thing was shattered by (early) bedtime.

Hope littlie is ok pix. We are back home now, unpacked, last minute homework panic, late bedtime trying to get it all done. Really should plan better, but was planning on being home before today. Hey ho! It's been a good week!

My boys have one more week off school which means more mess and having to fill the fridge!

Did anyone see the trailer for the new BBC drama, can't remember what's it called but has an RAF theme, I immediately thought of rhus story. Will try to find out what it's called.

I saw the trailer Rich they used a song from OG1 that's what caught my attention but it looked good and definitely reminded me of rhu's story!

Evening. I think most people have gone to ground over the past couple of weeks!I Where has Maddie gone to and we've not heard from Kelly for ages?

Gorgeous day here, not like the end of October at all. Just a shame I had to be in work!

Busy trying to recreate a meal we ate in Nice a couple of weeks ago without a recipe but so far it's looking ok. I think the difference will be that when my friends come round tomorrow, we won't be eating outside!

Been out trick or treating on the village this evening. Amazingly DS out loud or a light tonight, although he's expecting sweets for breakfast tomorrow.

I've seen a couple of trailers recently with 'OG' music. Made me feel nostalgic

We're in Germany, so I didn't expect crowds to turn up for T&T (Halloween is not traditional here, but a recent import, mid-1990s). My niece who has lived in the UK all her life was disappointed. But we had one family with two small children ringing our doorbell five minutes after we put up a handwritten sign and a skull with flashing eyes at the entrance to the drive Halloween Grin.

So now we have a bowl of homemade biscuits, lollies and chewy sweets ... (imagines niece on a sugar high for the next 3 weeks and hides the stuff). At least she had fun at afternoon club, they had a Halloween party with games and sweets and cakes and she got to dress up as a bat.

Chilly night here in Christchurch and nothing on TV. So out comes the DVD of OG series one. I had forgotten how great is was. Molly is so freshed face hardly any makeup!! As opposed to it being caked on!! CJ is as hot as ever.

Best crack on Molly is just about to discover CJ is married. Good morning to all you other ladies Smile

Hello all, very lively halloween celebrations around here where everyone dresses up... DC scampered off ahead with a large group of friends leaving me and a another mum to follow, improbably carrying a bottle of prosecco and a couple of glasses... great fun for us except that some of the other parents were giving us odd looks. It took us a bit of time to realise we must have looked like a couple of old soaks, a pair of witches without any kids, crashing the evening...

Not been a great day, dr and social workers are recommending my mum goes to hospice. She needs more care and will be best place rather at home where there is risk of her falling etc.

Sorry to hear your sad news ice especially as you must feel so far away. Hospices are amazing places though and your Mum will get the best possible care. Thinking of you. XX

ice so sorry to hear about your mum, it must be such a worry for you, but perhaps maybe the best place for her at the moment t where she can get better care.

So very quiet! We could do with some news on new programs etc that we can analyse and comment on! One of my friends that watch series 2 got series 1 and binge watched all 5 episodes in a day with her daughter, her text to me was "I get the whole Captain James think now!" At last!!
