although slightly enjoyed the family dynamics going on last night, unfortunately DD's favourite programme and in fact Guardian seems to recommend it^

40,000 posts, fireside wrestling contests, fan-fiction, autograph requests, carol concerts, CJ Grand Tours later we are about to watch the last episode of series 2. And that first post is a distant memory.

Afternoon ladies. It's a lovely sunny day here and I am about to go out into the garden and do some much needed tidying up.

Very cross with myself as I had a voucher for Waitrose this morning so went to do some shopping there (don't go too often as I work almost next door to a big Tesco), piled up the trolley then realised I had forgotten the bl**dy voucher!

Waiting for the plumber to turn up - just what I need on a Saturday afternoon.

Not sure who'll be at the bottom this week - I reckon it might be Ed and maybe Anastacia although she was much better this week - I reckon Gorka's a better height for her than Brendan. Could be Lesley even. Difficult. To be fair Greg wasn't very good but I'm sure he'll get saved.

Morning all. Lovely again here if a bit on the chilly side.

Probably saying to the plumber yesterday 'are you the man to sort out my overflow pipe' could easily be misconstrued! It wasn't quite as costly as I thought it might be anyway!

What's everyone up to today? I'm out for lunch with my Bailbrook House friend. May as well make the best use of my last day's hol before work tomorrow.

Been making the most of the weather here ilove. Did a couple of hours on the allotment yesterday and today we' ve been out with the dog-did the Edward The Confesser walk in Islip. Am now recovering from a large slice of cake and a giant hot chocolate

Lovely sunny day today, done a few jobs in the garden and DH has mended some guttering. Bit of crap weekend as my old cat Flossie died Friday. She had been diagnosed with cancer and had a huge tumour which we had removed but came back. Just really sad. Boys and DH have been lovely all weekend.

Sorry to hear about your cat Rich. They become part of the household and it's a real wrench when they go. When I had to have my old cat put to sleep (he was 18), I cried so much, I ended up with a migraine.

So sorry to hear about Flossie Rich. I've been through this a couple of times in the last few years and it's so sad. I still miss them sometimes now but mostly I do remember all the lovely and funny things about them and so do the kids. It's true what they say about time.

I am being very self-indulgent. I've just watched episodes 1 and now on 2 of S2. Currently at the part where Georgie has made a signal using the remote control and the cord from her scrubs. Oh there's Elvis' twirly finger!
