Haha. Great to hear you're sucked in already. Dry has it spot on you won't be able to stop reading until there is no more and then you start again.
Jealous that it's new to you. I'd love to start it all over again as an Outlander virgin.

madamefraser · 27/07/2017 18:38

I'm forcing myself to wait to read Voyager at the end of the summer as it will only take me a all night a short time to read . However having said that I have read the Print shop scene a billion times and also a few other bits .
Finally finished DIA so now I'm thinking go back to re- read Outlander .
THEN I can start reading Drums when season three is on ..
got it ALL planned out ..
at present just binge watching 1&2 , seeing the bits I've missed !

Lessstressedhemum · 27/07/2017 21:07

Red, nothing will ever be the same for you. Once you've tried Jamie Fraser you can never go back.

Am reading Fiery Cross just now and rewatching seasons 1+2. I am being, ocked ceaselessly and DD is trying to confiscate my kindle and tablet. Good luck with that, wee gommerel.

madamefraser · 27/07/2017 21:32

Agree Lessstressed once JAMMF'd that's it basically

DryWhiteagainW · 28/07/2017 08:29

I wonder what bits they'll leave out from Voyager........I watched Black Sails on Ron's Wink advice, it's ok, great performance by Toby Stevens and Captain Vane is a dish the tall ships will be awesome.

Off on hols for 2 weeks so will catch up when back.........

Lessstressedhemum · 28/07/2017 09:31

Maybe they will leave out the weird voodoo crocodile stuff and the chicken blood tea party. They don't really do the spooky stuff in the series. The only point to the reverend and his sister is so he can be a serial killer and she can provide the Brianna bit. I wouldn't mind if they missed out the whole typhoid ship thing, but I don't think that they can, so maybe just her ridiculous escape.

As long as they don't miss any opportunities for shirtless Sam, I will be quite happyGrin

SeamusMacDubh · 28/07/2017 19:04

I haven't been on here in a while and I've missed all the chat!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds DG a bit grating/odd. I watched a video of her reading a passage of Bees allowed and it really wasn't very good (the writing is great, her reading not so much). I also feel like she's a bit off with die hard fans sometimes and finds them a big annoying, fair dos, but don't let that come across to them!

I can't wait for S3, I'm so excited. I've been rereading the books, I'm reading Echo at the moment. I find some of the William/LJG stuff a bit dry and I struggle if I'm tired but I love the rest.

SeamusMacDubh · 28/07/2017 19:25

*aloud!!!

Second time this evening! Having kids has made my brains fall out HmmConfusedBlush

Lessstressedhemum · 29/07/2017 14:07

Oh, God, there's a new trailer narrated by Sam and Cait. I am dying watching it.

Lessstressedhemum · 02/08/2017 10:20

I have finally converted my friend! She started watching the show on C4 and can't get enough, now. Unfortunately, her16yo daughter thinks Sam is glorious and has a man sizes crush on him. Why unfortunately, you ask? Well, she thinks Thatcher Joe is the series, best looking man in existenceEnvy, (not envy) I now share a crush with her. It's completely humiliating and just gives everyone more mockage ammunition.

JuneFromBethesda · 07/08/2017 19:29

I'm on holiday this week and galloping through Voyager - it's much the best of the first three books I think (so far at least). So series 3 will be the first I've watched where I knew what was coming Grin Can't wait

DryWhiteagainW · 14/08/2017 10:23

When does it start?
Poldark over now... I'm ready

SeamusMacDubh · 14/08/2017 12:07

Airs 10th September in America and available 11th September over here on Amazon

snozzlemaid · 24/08/2017 19:34

TheDailyWail · 24/08/2017 19:42

Brilliant!

madamefraser · 25/08/2017 11:30

Oh my goodness Snozzlemaid those photos are quite something else . Coming over a bit faint !

snozzlemaid · 25/08/2017 13:02

They're making me very excited for September.
I bloody can't wait to see it.

FridgeCut · 25/08/2017 13:49

Just found this thread, i have binge watched the first two series and am now rewatching it. I think I could probably watch it all over again once I am done. I am trying not to fall in to crazy fan girl (woman, I'm 34..) but I am actually obsessed, I almost wish I had never watched it. I am broken I tell you, broken. I am going to watch series 3 and then start the books, but I might binge those and forget to feed the kids...

We are off to france on sunday for a week, kills some waiting time for S3 :)

snozzlemaid · 25/08/2017 17:21

Ha fridge that's exactly what has happened to us all here. It completely ruins anything else you will ever watch. Nothing will compare.
I've lost count the number of times I've watched both series. I'm so, so tempted to reread the books too, but I have so many other books ready to read I'm forcing myself not to. Though I do pick one up occasionally to read snippets.
Feel free to share your pain here with us. We all totally understand. (we're not quite like those crazy, crazy fan girls - we do try to keep it away from that territory. But I fear we're only really one step away at times).
Enjoy your holiday.

SeamusMacDubh · 26/08/2017 13:52

Agree that I have been ruined for other books! And my husband, very hard to compete when JAMMF is such a gorgeous all rounder.

I've got s stack of books I haven't started because I'm rereading the whole series! 3/4 through Echo at the moment, can't wait for Bees to be released.

And, no, as PP said, we aren't as deranged hardcore as some of the fan girls you will find on certain Facebook groups Grin

Lessstressedhemum · 26/08/2017 22:39

The EW photos are fabulous, and all the wee teaser trailers are driving me mad. I come over all breathless and faintly every time I see them. I cannot wait.
I know we aren't as bad as those fan girl women. I saw a thing on DG'S social media about a bunch of loons holding a seance at Clava Cairns, trying to summon JamieShock they make me look not obsessed at all.

FridgeCut · 26/08/2017 22:44

i joined the HH group on Facebook, I feel so normal and well adjusted with my level of Outlander lust now :)

SeamusMacDubh · 26/08/2017 23:34

I'm a "Heughligan" too, but I'm much more for Jamie than Sam, though he is lovely in his own right.

FridgeCut · 27/08/2017 10:06

I agree, it is Jamie that is the object of my desire :)
