As it stands both our modern pentathlon competitors are in a good position (currently 1st and 3rd) and both todays fighters in the Taekwondo have made it as far as the Quarter Finals so keep your eyes out for those stories developing.

Gutted for Tom. He has raised the profile of diving in the UK enormously. Over the moon for Nicola.

Such sportsmanship from Non Stanford and Vicky Holland. Non is our local girl so secretly would have liked her to get the medal but still pleased for Vicky.

Poor Tom just peaked too soon. I was so nervous seeing him dive so well yesterday.

Modern Pentathalon looks crazy, how are you supposed to showjump with a horse you don't know?
I'm watching the rhythmic gymnastics I don't know how any of these women are doing this but it looks amazing

am watching the BBC4 coverage- throughout, there has been a fascination with the beach binmen- the Copaca-binmen. tonight, the presenter is giving them medals. It's funny.

I have been glued to the bbc4 coverage raahh. It's been absolutely surreal at times but in a brilliantly British way.

I don't know how I'll get through the day with no more Olympics to look forward to.
