So, the last thing I was expecting was for the local bfbs radio station to use my twitter account as a discussion point!!! Could have been a lot worse, OG/CJ obsession not broadcast. Thinking of you lot in the supermarket today, did a lot of close scrutinising but no low slungness in sight.

Who is staying up late to watch the red button thingy tomorrow? I'm not sure I will, I'll have to wait until I get home I think.

That's odd pixie - I have it recording on Thursday 9pm-3am! I've just checked and it's on tomorrow and Thursday. Don't think I can be up at 11pm - so unless I get up early on Thursday morning, it will have to wait until Thursday evening. Quite curious to see how it all works. It's all so much more high profile than the previous series. Dead excited about it all now. Seeing all the TV listings magazines in Tesco really brought it home at lunchtime that all our musings over the past 22 months are coming to fruition!

I thought it was tomorrow night? I could be wrong, I'm tired and not on my normal tele box so I can't be arsed to check

ice have we decided what we're going to do about a discussion or watchalong for firstly the prequel and then the new series?

pixie it seems to be on both days. Presume the Thursday night is just a repeat of Wednesday's.

I don't think I'll be staying up till 11 but will watch in the morning.

Shall we discuss prequel over weekend, then everyone had chance to watch?

Then for episodes, chat before, silence then discuss afterwards.

I've blocked out all my Wednesday evenings whilst it's on and will lock the door in case any of my neighbours try to interrupt my viewing!

Hubby now works on Wed evenings and won't be home before 10:30 so I get to drools over CJ watch in peace the entire series without him asking questions and ruining my watching experience

That's handy ice! I must remember not to delete the recordings this time. I watched the first two recorded episodes then deleted them. Never thought it was going to be so addictive! I was more into Downton at first!

I'm reserving judgement on the new series before 'investing' in the DVD. £24 does seem a lot!?

Afternoon all. It's been another lovely day today. I really love the warm, settled weather you often get at this time of year at least until the October gales begin.

Well, I opened my RT for next week full of hope that they might just have relented and written at least a small article on OG this time.....but no! They are awash with Poldark, Strictly, Cold Feet (understandable I suppose and AT is wearing camo on the front cover!) but just one paragraph on the daily listing about OG - there is only one warmer note about it when the reviewer states that Georgie Lane joins the "easy-on-the-eye Captain James" - so they noticed something, then! And apparently Georgie is as '"tough and mouthy as her predecessor" and her comrades are "sexist as ever". Makes it sound very appealing!

Almost forgot - on the plus side there's a nice photo of the Strictly pros in RT (no Glebtime this year or Tristan ) but looks interesting with the launch show on Saturday - prediction time - I'm betting that Anton gets Lesley Joseph, Natalie Lowe gets Greg Rutherford - it's a height thing I've seen him in the flesh and he's tall - and the new very young male dancer who looks about 12 gets Claudia Fragapane as a partner. Goodness it doesn't take much to make me excited does it!

Have mixed feelings about s2 was the chemistry between CJ/MD in s1.

Thanks for the heads up on the Prequel. Yes, I've watched it and already the questions are forming - there are definitely things to be uncovered in due course. The use of the CJ and Molly hands music at one point made me feel all nostalgic again!
