Hi everyone, I watched the first series and was part of this thread back then. I've just watched the prequel on BBC and I'm really confused! So Molly has been replaced by a new actor, and Boss/Captain has been replaced too, but why is Ben Aldridge shown? I'm so confused!

MK has been brought in as a new character, Georgie Lane, who is also a medic. Ben Aldridge is still in it as Captain James, and so are some of two section (Brains, Dangles, Mansfield, Fingers, can't remember if there is anyone else!) and a whole bunch of new people too. Hope that helps :)

Just watched the prequel on iPlayer. LP looks pretty good in combats I must say. It was strange hearing the old music in some scenes without seeing CJ and Molly. The series looks pretty good from the advert.

Thanks ilove I've just set the series link for OG. There's a few things on that I want to see too ie. Poldark, Cold Feet and Victoria. I need to create more tv watching time

Hi kel, are your littlies all ready for school? Was thinking about you today (when I had to pay more for DSs school shoes than I do for mine!), what did you decide about them going in the same class? Are you looking forward to the peace and quiet? have you got something planned for you, for their first day?

Well what a really rubbish day it's been one way and another. At least all this OG news has cheered me up tonight!

Had a new carpet today and the same guy who was doing it had laid the bathroom flooring after the new bathroom was installed in May. A strange black mark had appeared on it so I asked for his advice. It turned out the shower was leaking underneath the flooring, hence a call to the company who had put it in. The plumbers were great but they were sub-contracted to do the work - Homebase were the company in question. Their customer service is appalling. Anyway, after about 8 hours, they did get hold of the plumber and he's coming tomorrow. They have also guaranteed to replace the flooring as it's ruined!

Also been working on a particular task at work for nearly two weeks and myself and a colleague have put a lot of effort in but it's all, in Molly's words "gone to sh*t" so I was pretty fed up this afternoon!

I was talking to Rich tonight on the phone as she is planning a trip up to Manchester. After we discussed the logistics of the trip, we of course talked about OG. We pondered on who might come back now the series is only days away and whether we may gather any newcomers and no sooner is that said than Kezia and giantcar pop up!

Was really excited when I saw all the TV listings magazines yesterday and had to read a couple of the articles and even more so now I've seen the prequel. Not exactly sure why my recorder says it will be 6 hours when in fact it's less than 7 minutes. Was quite impressed with what I saw and rather taken with Elvis Harte/Luke whatshisname. Not of course that he could take CJ's place though!

For those of you who've watched the prequel now, who was that troll-like man whose mother was offering to pack his T shirts?

I've decided to keep them together but the school wouldn't let me keep them back a year so into Reception they go next week. They seem so tiny still and there's no way they'll be able to change their clothes for PE so I'll have to keep practising with them...I be more worried about these starting school than I was with DD. Yes, 3 sets of school shoes, blimmin expensive..

Its 3 weeks into Sept that theyre in all day ,nickel. The first two weeks they have the kids in on a morning and then afternoon sessions to get used to being there all day. But the first full day, I'll need a stiff drink to calm my nerves

Rare night out with MrP tonight. On the strength of my excitement about the teaser/meeting mooj and Mads he was asking me what was happening in S2. He asked who else was in it this time round. "Is that short bloke in it?"
"No he died" (thinking it was Smurf)
"He died?"
"Yeah, the Welsh one"
"No this one was Geordie or something"
"There wasn't a Geordie"
"Yeah, him and his mate. The filthy ones"
"You mean Mac & Rocket from Bluestone"

Oh my word just watched the prequel and Luca doesn't disappoint does he? Damn and blast MK for being so thin and gorgeous, bless her. Methinks I'm going to like S2 after all Don't know how my decrepit and shrivelled ovaries are going to remain intact with an overdose of AT, BA AND LP all in the space of three days each week, plus many, many rewatches/in depth analysis. Absolutely no time for RL that's for sure.

Hope the first day at school goes well Kelly. It's a real milestone.

Just been reading back over very old early threads. Wish DrBunsen Firegirl monopod and of course the maestro herself orph would come back to us when S2 starts. DrBunsens Lego CJ with blutac leg brace and caramel sauce for Afghan grime was a complete masterpiece. And remember cherins stag drawings? Hope they're all still being brilliant after decompression, but wish they'd all come back and post next week, that would be the nuts.

kel your DSs will be fine. I've got a DH who still can't pick up his clothes after undressing so I'm sure the school will understand if they're only 4. I'm at the other end of the school spectrum with my middle DS starting 6th Form in a suit and tie. My biggest problem is making sure he goes to school on Monday without a hangover lingering from Saturday night

Suppose it's time to go to Bedfordshire, night all. I'm possibly going to be dreaming about the kind of message I'd put in Luke's bottle...

In Cornwall until Saturday nickel, weather has been fantastic. I'm pretending that my feet are tanned and not just grubby from walking about in sandals all week.
