They're running out of decent people to kill, who haven't already been killed or presumed dead.

I started liking Sansa but she's turning back into a bit of a douche again.

Ramsay deserves to die but I'd like him to show a bit more depth to his character first.

I was really excited about the Ramsay/Rickon storyline at first but now it's a bit meh as we haven't seen either of them for YEARS. Given the time slips, next time we see Rickon he will probably have a hipster beard, a mortgage and be driving a ford mondeo maybe not

This has been a frustrating series. Not enough time on each 'plot line' so it doesn't flow particularly well. They could have have done with much less High Sparrow Boring and 'let's just kill the fuck out of everyone Dorme' and spent more time on the north in general.

In fact, I hope I don't even hear the words 'Kings Landing' until the finale. Someone should wildfyre it all to shit so it can stop boring me. That'd sort'em.

OlennasWimple · 15/06/2016 19:25

I'd still be shocked by a Cersei / Jamie / Tyrion death, even though at least one of them will surely die

ClashCityRocker · 15/06/2016 19:25

Although having said that, I did watch all the other series back to back, so two or three episodes a night.

This is the first one I've done weekly, maybe that explains it.

SootSprite · 15/06/2016 19:51

This is the first season where I've looked for spoilers etc do that may be contributing to my feelings of disappointment as some of the theories have been better than the actual storylines.

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 15/06/2016 19:53

I love the High Sparrow stuff. The way he's out foxing Olenna and Cersei is a work of genius. Jonathan Price is fantastic. And I love the fact that when he announces (through Sooty Tommen "trial by combat is a ridiculous and barbaric way to settle criminal trials, we're abolishing it and going to have a trial of the facts in open court." which is the most reasonable announcement ever, the viewing audience are all going "boo, evil scheming bastard!"

SolomanDaisy · 15/06/2016 20:04

The thing I dislike most about the High Sparrow is that he is using Tommen to push for Cersei's trial and to maximise the chances of her being found guilty. For incest. If she's found guilty, where does that leave Tommen?

Well, that and the fact it's Game of Thrones, so you've got to suspect everyone except Davos and Sam of being a power hungry hypocrite.

SolomanDaisy · 15/06/2016 20:05

I'm really hoping that Varys is going to see Olenna, the two of them together should have some marvellous schemes.

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 15/06/2016 20:08

It's incest with Lancel not Jamie. It doesn't affect Tommen's parentage.

SolomanDaisy · 15/06/2016 20:21

I thought she'd admitted to Lancel and done the walk of atonement for it and that the trial is for the other charges against her?

weirdsister · 15/06/2016 20:25

Just pondering - if Tommen dies who gets the throne?

SolomanDaisy · 15/06/2016 20:25

Looked it up, she is charged with treason, incest (apparently with Jaime as she was questioned about that) and regicide.

MustStopAndThinkBeforePosting · 15/06/2016 20:29

I don't think Rickon is going to die - I think Ramsey will have groomed him into a torture loving psychopath in his own image.

AintNobodyHereButUsKittens · 15/06/2016 20:31

There's a brilliantly pedantic piece of deduction somewhere on the Interwebs that argues that if Tommen dies then you trace the Baratheon succession back and up through some random cousins to the Lannisters. At the time that would have been Cersei (!) since Jamie was Kingsguard and in the absence of Tyrion. But now it would be Jamie. I can't believe for a minute that that's how it would go though: the TV audience has a limited appetite for detailed family trees. Maybe Margery would announce her pregnancy? But that wouldn't work if the whole twincest thing had come out at the trial.

MustStopAndThinkBeforePosting · 15/06/2016 20:32

weirdsister it's been established in a previous thread that going back along the bloodlines to the next available heir actually comes through Tywin Lanister to Jamie himself (so sacking him from the kingsguard was a bit of a silly move really)

OlennasWimple · 15/06/2016 20:35

If Cersei is found guilty of invest with Jamie, where does that leave him? Also guilty presumably?

I guess the claim to the throne would revert to the closest known Baratheon - are we sure Gendry's parentage isn't acknowledged somewhere? King Gendry with Queen Arya anyone?

SolomanDaisy · 15/06/2016 20:39

I think Jaime gets away with it, because sexism.

I think the High Sparrow is planning for Tommen to be deposed and the faith to rule instead of the crown.

SolomanDaisy · 15/06/2016 20:41

Ooh, olennaswimple, that's interesting! Because the faith is going to have to try and prove this stuff and we don't know of any proof other than 'the seed is strong'. So maybe the faith will end up introducing Gendry as a contender.

Abraiid1 · 15/06/2016 20:45

I have a crush on Jaime. But I wonder if he'd even want the throne?

weirdsister · 15/06/2016 20:48

I'm wondering if Cersei would go as far as to bump off Tommen now that he's totally in the high sparrow's control.
We know that she has been close to it in the past, so she's capable of it.

Alisvolatpropiis · 15/06/2016 20:49

Wasn't she going to poison him to prevent him being taken by the enemy during the siege, rather than to protect her own interests though?

Or am I misremembering?

weirdsister · 15/06/2016 20:50

Yes that was to protect him, but she may think that he's beyond helping now.

Alisvolatpropiis · 15/06/2016 20:50

Although if she gets found guilty of incest that leaves Tommen in a very dicey situation so perhaps she'd do it for similar reasons to why she considered it before.

He's not a bright lad, is he.

weirdsister · 15/06/2016 20:50

She knows he's going to die because the witch predicted it.

EverySongbirdSays · 15/06/2016 20:53

Didn't we establish on another thread she's being tried for shagging Lancel not Jaime as that would bastardize Tommen's own claim to the throne?

But what if that's the point?

So that the Faith Militant can overthrow the Crown and take over?

OP posts:
weirdsister · 15/06/2016 20:57

Two of Cersei's children have already been poisoned and she was very close to poisoning Tommen before. The witch told her that all 3 would die.
I think she'll poison him.
