Magic

EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 16:31

They brought Drogo back

And the lesson was that you can't ever bring someone back, he was Zombie Drogo, that's why she burnt him.

Twas witchcraft.

OP posts:
ThatsMyStapler · 30/05/2016 16:39

so if he came back again, he'd be double Zombie Drogo?

EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 16:46

They did it with Jon Snow and more than likely Catelyn too difference is Mirri Maz Duur did it wrong just to fuck up Dany, there's no body to reanimate

OP posts:
LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 30/05/2016 17:11

Drogo can't come back, he was burnt. But then ther were the Magi's words about how he would return when west was east etc so technically there is a possibility that all the bits of that prophecy/foretelling could actually come true and drogo comes back. I'm sceptical though, what would he come back for?

EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 17:25

That was pregnancy wasn't it?

Not Drogo specifically

OP posts:
Northernlurker · 30/05/2016 17:27

The hound is a younger brother too. Just saying. Although how that would come about is hard to say.

EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 17:31

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

NICE CATCH NorthernLurker

Theories already abound about the Cleganes

OP posts:
ClashCityRocker · 30/05/2016 17:31

I don't think drogo will be back.

He was pretty one-dimensional as a character and can't see what he would add.

I think the episodes will flow better once everyone's back together (assuming that's what happens). There's just too many separate storylines at the minute I'm finding it very disjointed. I don't remember feeling that way in previous series - although that may be because I'd read the books so could fill in a lot of the blanks.

I thought the maji was about drogo - she does say 'wneh your womb quickens with another child, when the sun sets in wherever etc' in response to Dany asking when he'd get better.

ClashCityRocker · 30/05/2016 17:32

Oh I want the hound back!

EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 17:41

You do know the Hound theory Clash ?

(rubs hands with glee in case not)

OP posts:
lostlalaloopsy · 30/05/2016 17:54

What's the Hound theory?

It was a bit of a filler episode, but everything seems to be getting set up nicely. Bran heading back to the wall, Arya hopefully heading back to Westeros, Jon and Sansa reunited and I agree with above posters that we will be seeing Lady Stoneheart soon. My hope that turning Rickon over to Ramsay was a big ruse for the Northern houses to take back Winterfell has been diminishing every week we don't see him Sad

EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 18:01

That the Hound was rescued by the Sparrows and is a Sparrow Brienne met on her travels called The Gravedigger (that bit was different in the show, the fight they have in the show didn't happen)

There is a fan thing called Clegane Bowl - which suggests that circumstances will evolve for a trial by combat with Cersei's FrankenMountain on one side and the Hound competing for Sparrows it was thought to be Margaerys trial but may well be Loras's now instead

OP posts:
Glitteryfrog · 30/05/2016 18:05

Clash I'm starting to feel there are too many threads and houses. Excuse rubbish naming it's the only way I can keep track!

From the North:
Whytewalkers
Bran& co
The wildlings
The wall and the knights watch
Pacey-look-alike building the 1000 boats
Greyjoys and co running from Pacey-look-alike
Sansa and Jon etc
Littlefinger
The young price at The Eyrie
Sam and Gilly (now with the sword)
Sam's family
Ramsey and Rikkon at Winterfell
Dani and her current army
Tyrian and Varys and the harpy/ red priestess
Kingslanding - sparrow, king and Jamie being sent away
The other two dragons
Bron
Blackfish
Other houses which have been mentioned in passing

I need a flip chart!

Middleoftheroad · 30/05/2016 18:22

Of all the characters to bring back (dead with attitude include Joff and Mance etc) Drogo would be among the dullest. Next to Greyworm and the Frey children. He adds nothing. Now The Hound would be good.

I understood it that the wights got to Benjen but the children put Dragon glass through his heart thus saving him from being a bad walker.

I'd like to know how Sam fits in the pic now. There was much focus on him this week. If only to be Jon's wing man. Will he head to Winterfell?

Give Margarey an oscar..she is so playing the long game. If only to piss Cersei off. She knows how to play The Sparrow and Tommen. Didnt the witch say a younger more beautiful woman would topple Cersei?

I want a Jaime Brienne Tormund love triangle. My coin is on the Wildling.

Bronn Smile

ClashCityRocker · 30/05/2016 18:27

No, hadn't heard the hound theory - although it makes sense - I think in the book it's alluded to the sparrows coming across him?

Also find stannis's off-screen death very odd. He's bound to turn up.

Glittery you forgot Arya! She better get her arse to the wall and not piss about joining the mummer's troupe.

BelfastBloke · 30/05/2016 18:32

I really, really doubt that stannis will turn up again. The Boltons talked about finding his body.

Glitteryfrog · 30/05/2016 18:36

Glittery you forgot Arya! She better get her arse to the wall and not piss about joining the mummer's troupe

Oh yes! But she's pretty dull at the moment😀

ClashCityRocker · 30/05/2016 18:44

Belfast my game of thrones rule is no one is dead unless I've physically seen them burnt, decapitated or had their head smushed by the mountain.

Stannis is a shoe in!

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 30/05/2016 18:46

Westeros.org forum has a post with all of Bran's visions in photo form. V interesting! I'd link it but I dunno if that's bad form?

EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 18:51

Link away, people choose if they want to click. i want to see! Plus the thread is clear about spoiler discussion.

OP posts:
EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 18:54

But why would Brienne lie about killing him?

It would bring dishonour upon her house!

OP posts:
ClashCityRocker · 30/05/2016 19:06

I can't imagine her lying either, but him dying off screen so to speak seems very odd.

Mind you, death doesn't seem to be the barrier it used to be...zombie Stannis? Wight Stannis?

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 30/05/2016 19:18

Right then, here's a link to all of Bran's visions from this episode broken down image by image. The wildfire is interesting...wonder if it will be used to kill the white walkers? Also, there is talk that the bloody hand clip is the Tower of Joy reveal. imgur.com/gallery/5WMdv/new Make sure you hit the button that says "load 59 more images" or whatever...I didn't see that at first and was slightly confused.

EverySongbirdSays · 30/05/2016 19:27

Couple of interesting things beyond the visions of what we know.

Why so much focus on the baby?

Why show the Wildfire? (the green potion, that was really emphasised)
