Allegedly 7 books but I think 10 seasons of the show.

WeDoNotSow · 09/05/2016 22:22

A few years old, but has anyone seen Chris Martins game of thrones musical skit for Red Nose Day? Absolutely hilarious!!

Trills · 09/05/2016 22:28

You've got to know your name.

Arya's training is beginning to feel too similar to Theon's brainwashing and torture.

Reek, Reek, it rhymes with sneak.

A girl has no name.

Trills · 09/05/2016 22:31

Young Ned is not as pretty as young Sean Bean.

Good matching on the mouth though.

It's brilliant WeDoNotSow and apparently the catalyst for Kit Harington and Rose Leslie getting back together post a split.

WILDLING. YOU MAKE MY HEART SING.

the man who passes the sentence should swing the sword

Well done.

Now my watch begins, it shall not end until my death.

Those boys in the tunnel with the giant.

ClashCityRocker · 09/05/2016 22:36

Wot no dragons?!

Not much happened again this week - the plot is advancing at a snails pace, maybe to give a chance for the books to catch up?

In fact, the first three episodes can be summed up with: Jon Snow's not dead after all which we all knew

I still love it really!

QueenOfThorns · 09/05/2016 22:38

Yay, I'm back! Ready to kick Faith Militant arse.

I can definitely see young Tommen becoming very religious, but I can't decide whether the High Sparrow is for real or very manipulative indeed. I suspect the latter.

Nice to see Sam and Gilly again, but Littlefinger has been in his helicopter for a long time now!

TheUnsullied · 09/05/2016 22:39

Slightly pissed off young Ned appears to have a Manc accent rather than old Ned's Yorkshire.

That was not a Mancunian accent. That was someone from God knows where attempting a Yorkshire accent and bizarrely managing to get it so much thicker than Ned's that it sounded ridiculous.

Incidentally, my phone corrects 'Mancunian' to man cunt Grin I think my phone is a Humber.

ClashCityRocker · 09/05/2016 22:40

Loved the tower of joy bit - think it hinted at more lies ned stark may have told.

Not arsed about Rickon - he's not been in it for so long there's no emotional resonance. He might as well be palace guard number three for all I care.

Trills · 09/05/2016 22:42

Rickon was basically NEVER in it. He was not a character. He was a bit sad one time when his mum was paying all the attention to poor pushed-off-a-tower Bran, and that's all her's ever done.

emilybohemia · 09/05/2016 22:45

It was the emphasis on the 'ing' at the end of 'King' that sounded Manc to me, Unsullied. It did sound a bit ridiculous. Could well be just a poor stab at Yorkshire.

weirdsister · 09/05/2016 22:51

I think that Ramsey will use Rickon to gain support from the north now that he doesn't have Sansa. He's useful to him for now.

Tommen is such a wimp. I can't bear him.

StopLaughingDrRoss · 09/05/2016 22:52

I'm quite enjoying this although think this week was quite a nice, easy watch after the first two.

Was gutted to see Shaggydog - and I think Rickons reaction does mean it was him Sad

I loved Jon's flounce - I am so hoping there is a little eeeevil crept into him as he was straight as a die before and I think slightly eeeevil Jon will be worth watching.. not sure what he's up to though and I really hope Sansa & entourage run into him first although they obviously get to the wall from the trailer.

And have to agree with Trills - young Sean Bean was a serious hottie... I got very hot under the collar watching Lady Chatterley Grin I love the flashbacks too!

MakingJudySmile · 09/05/2016 22:54

The sparrow needs to feck off now - he's mega annoying, he'll brain wash boy King first though into women are the root of all evil sparrow God stuff

I do like Umbar - not mincing his words was he. Also very much enjoyed Jons flounce, though he probably should have kept his cloak - it being chilling and all that.

Trills · 09/05/2016 22:54

My watch is ended ~~mike drop~~

CaitAgusMadra · 09/05/2016 22:56

That Red Nose Day skit is brill!

Trills · 09/05/2016 22:56

I almost LIKED Qyburn making abusive parents disappear...

MakingJudySmile · 09/05/2016 22:57

Chilly, not bloody chilling

TheUnsullied · 09/05/2016 23:00

emilybohemia, I may have to go and have another gander. It's possible it's a Manc making a really horrendous attempt at Ned's accent. If the actor is Mancunian though, he's certainly not using his own accent. Words like 'no' and 'snow' sound quite short with a definite W at the end in a Manc accent but have more of an 'ore' sound in a Yorkshire one.

I'm going to have to look up the actor now...it'll drive me mad. There are a few GoT actors from these parts though so it wouldn't be surprising.

Trills · 09/05/2016 23:01

I think Davos was a good dad.

Don't you think?

When he was around and not off smuggling anyway.

Middleoftheroad · 09/05/2016 23:02

Every time a Stark gets close to finally reuniting with another Stark it doesn't happen, which I find frustrating. Think Bran near Castle Black think Arya by Red wedding and then her near miss with Sansa at The Vale etc. Now, Sansa is heading to the wall as Jon is leaving. No doubt if he reaches Rickon at Winterfell something else will happen. I get that this is the point and I love this show but it's still frustrating.
RIP Shaggydog....

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 09/05/2016 23:04

Young ned is from Hull, I read in our local paper the other day. But he's been to Julliard (however you spell it) so possibly been trying to lose the Yorkshire accent for a while!

emilybohemia · 09/05/2016 23:08

Isn't Julliard in America?

It seems I know shit about accents.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 09/05/2016 23:12

I think it is (only from watching high school musical Blush) I'm assuming he got a scholarship or something but was brought up in Hull.
