As things stand in the books (so by the end of Book 5) Shireen, Stannis and Selyse Baratheon are all still alive and are at East Watch. I don't know where the hell she's meant to be in the show presumably at Castle Black with Davos and Melisandre.

maggiso · 28/04/2016 00:01

Yes Coldhands. What is he.? Could he be a nights watch brother ? Are there more like him?
Shareens mother hangs herself in the TV. Series.

EverySongbirdSays · 28/04/2016 00:08

Ahhh yes maggiso I had a nagging feeling but couldn't remember. Coldhands calls Sam brother at one point, there are hints that he is Benjen but also hints he died way before Benjen was last seen

AnnaChronism · 28/04/2016 03:30

I would really like to see Lady Stoneheart make an appearance.
Was there any news that she was seen on set at all?

NeedACleverNN · 28/04/2016 07:13

Shireens mother hung herself out of grief

QueenOfThorns · 28/04/2016 07:16

Out of guilt, more like Angry

NeedACleverNN · 28/04/2016 07:16

That too I should think

n0ne · 28/04/2016 07:49

I actually think Jon will come back as a white walker, but a sentient one, iykwim. They made it clear from the attack on the wildlings that at least some of the WWs aren't mindless zombies, but can think and act purposefully. I think there's something special about him that'll mean he doesn't come back as evil. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking!

Alisvolatpropiis · 28/04/2016 07:53

Cold Hands in the books is presumed to be a sentient WW so that's not the realms of possibility n0ne

n0ne · 28/04/2016 08:04

Although it probably makes more sense for Melisandre to resurrect him. He wouldn't have joined forces with her alive, but he can hardly argue with it now!

As for the other plotlines, I really don't know where anything is going anymore. I read all the books but I think the show has deviated massively now (or my memory is shot, it was a long time ago). I don't see the point of Daenarys being with the Dothraki again, she'll obviously just get rescued, blah. Who can stop the Boltons? The Lannisters are done for. Dorne is too far away to impact anything. I guess there's some mileage in the Sam/Gilly escape. I really cant wait for s6e2 cos e1 gave very little away.

weirdsister · 28/04/2016 08:14

Would Tommen have the authority to get rid of the High Sparrow etc?

NeedACleverNN · 28/04/2016 08:21

No I don't think so.

They seem to have taken the law onto themselves otherwise they would never have arrested Cersei. She only let them get back together again to try and get Margery out of the way

weirdsister · 28/04/2016 08:31

They need Tyrion!

FinallyHere · 28/04/2016 10:09

I'd be able to follow it all a lot better if they did that Made in Chelsea thing of popping up people's names

having skimmed the books, and seen some but by all means not all the episodes, I think Jon Snow will get together with the mother of dragons, snow and fire together to conquer and rule.

Meanwhile....

limitedperiodonly · 28/04/2016 10:46

I always forget people's names FinallyHere. It doesn't help when they kill off the people whose names I do actually know.

This has helped me a lot. It's the wiki to accompany the TV series. It helped me to put a face to a name, often by staring at them a lot Grin.

As long as you're up to date with the show, there are no spoilers. There are no book spoilers unless you want to click on the section at the bottom of each page. But seeing as the books and TV show have parted company, it probably doesn't matter any more.

There are also loads of pages on things that happened in the dim and distant past before it all kicked off. I've lost hours on there.

EverySongbirdSays · 28/04/2016 11:57

Yes n0ne with it all being up to date I can't imagine where they are going with some of the stuff. I'm frustrated with GRRM but he's basically called frustrated fans cunts so Sad

bringthethunda · 29/04/2016 17:27

I think Mel came across as quite human for once in this episode. As in, some days you think you look shit hot and want to get your baps out, and some days you think "Ah, feck it" when you look in the mirror, and just have to get yourself off to bed.

bringthethunda - Grin

Wonder who Ian McShane will bring back, might not necessarily be someone from the dead, might be Gendry or Rickon? But...we didn't see the Hound actually die, and apparently the actor has been seen on set so could be him! I love the Hound, hope so!

IAmNotAMindReader · 30/04/2016 15:36

For him to be fighting wearing Stark armour then he has to have been legitimised which mean Stannis must also be alive. The only other way would be if Bran can not just see past events but also intervene in them too. Then he'd have to convince Jon to leave and then there's no way he would have allowed Melissandre to sacrifice Shireen and half Stannis' army wouldn't have fucked of on him.

Trills · 30/04/2016 15:49

Seeing a beautiful woman naked for the first time is the best thing in the world.

What about....
And what about...

I enjoyed comedy Dothraki.

WestleyAndButtockUp · 30/04/2016 15:50

Yeah, a mixture of Monty Python and Swiss Tony.

WestleyAndButtockUp · 30/04/2016 15:56

Why does Jon being legitimised as a Stark mean that Stannis is alive? What's Stannis got to do with it?

Stannis is definitely dead. Roose Bolton said so, as did the show's producers.

If you are saying only a King can legitimise someone, then who is the successor to Robb Stark, the King in the North? It has to be Bran Stark, right? Or Sansa Stark-Lannister-Bolton.

Otherwise, Roose Bolton is currently Warden in the North, as appointed by King Tommen Baratheon.

IAmNotAMindReader · 30/04/2016 15:58

True enough I forgot Stannis was offering legitimisation in the absence of the head of the Stark family.

Trills · 30/04/2016 16:07

I imagine there's a few people about who THINK they can legitimise someone.

Or maybe vision-Jon is just playing dress-up (the better to inspire the troops).
