OK, I'm going to start a new thread which will be so festooned with spoiler warnings that nobody should be able to stray onto it by accident. I'll label it Episode 2. Is that OK with everyone?

emilybohemia · 02/05/2016 12:19

Please start an ep 2 thread.

WeDoNotSow · 02/05/2016 12:20

Yes, Start it and I'll be straight there!!

Missushb · 02/05/2016 12:32

The episode can be watched on demand on sky and now tv. Waiting until 9pm isn't the only option.

Crumblevision · 02/05/2016 12:44

Just seen E2. 😱😳

I totally agree with what someone said upthread about Ramsay - chilling

RonniePickering · 02/05/2016 12:53

Gah, we can't talk about it?

Good episode. I'd never go on a thread like this before watching an episode though, seems odd Confused

WestleyAndButtockUp · 02/05/2016 12:53

Actually, I think I've changed my mind and now disagree with MNHQ, and with my own previous argument. This thread title already SAYS spoilers.

So no-one should read the thread until they've watched the latest episode.

Which is simultaneously broadcast in the US and the U.K. at 2am UK time.

Surely it's clear, if the thread is titled 'Spoiler'?

WestleyAndButtockUp · 02/05/2016 12:55

Well, just spotted that MNHQ has changed the title. Disregard...

MintyChapstick · 02/05/2016 13:02

I think a lot of people don't realise that it's shown at 2am, and the 9pm Monday night showing is actually repeat. Therefore they'll come on here see spoilers and complain about it. In my experience I'd avoid the Internet full stop until you've actually watched the episode as there are spoilers all over Twitter and even on the sidebar of shame on Daily Mail website!

The first post on this thread is from people who stayed up late to watch last week's and were talking in the wee small hours of Monday though! I mean, it's literally in the OP. There does come a point...

We have a new thread now though, so let's all of us who want to continue discussion go on over there. Am presuming HQ are ok with it.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 02/05/2016 13:15

DISCUSS EPISODE 2 HERE ONCE YOU'VE SEEN IT!

weirdsister · 02/05/2016 14:30

It's on Now TV. Just seen it.

AnnaChronism · 02/05/2016 21:59

Can we talk about it now?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 02/05/2016 22:02

Go to the other thread, Anna!

wickedlazy · 02/05/2016 23:31

"I don't think it's on to discuss a 2am airing when the majority of people will watch it tonight, tbh"

Just wanted to remind everyone (including mnhq) I started the thread (with spoiler alert) 10 minutes after the first episode first aired at 2.00am. It was intended as a place for anyone who had stayed up to watch or recorded and watched before 9am Monday to discuss without being told off.

OP posts:
wickedlazy · 02/05/2016 23:31

9pm*

OP posts:
wickedlazy · 02/05/2016 23:33

Oh good someone started a new spoilers allowed thread. Can mnhq please let that one stand as a place to discuss before 9pm Smile

OP posts:
wickedlazy · 02/05/2016 23:49

It's obvious I'm knackered, I meant 10 minutes after the show (which aired at 2.00am) was over. Don't like the implication about "worker bees" in mnhq post either, obviously mumsnet is going to have a lot of sahm's or people on materniy leave/part time hours.

I don't understand why anyone would click on to read a thread if they haven't seen the most recent episode ? Surely that is just common sense. I 'watch' plenty of tv threads but never actually catch up on them until I'm up to date in watching the actual programme !

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 03/05/2016 18:04

I think the confusion is because it says Episode 1 in the title...so I read this thread and commented on it AFTER I watched Episode 1. After watching Episode 2 I stayed away from TIO just in case someone were to come on here and talk about Episode 2, but I can see why some people thought it was safe to click on TIO thinking this thread is only about Episode 1, only to accidentally see Episode 2 being referred to, if that makes sense. As I said in the Episode 2 thread, I think a new thread should be started for each episode (which seems to be what is happening now) and then it's easier to avoid discussion until you are ready.

Trills · 03/05/2016 22:34

I don't understand why anyone would click on to read a thread if they haven't seen the most recent episode ?

You don't have to click on it - the first few words of all posts come up in Threads I'm On.

So if you posted on it AFTER watching ep1, you could still see stuff you didn't want to see BEFORE you've watched ep2.

So the plan of a new thread per episode is very sensible.
