Didn't a lot of them die due to the rebellion?

Yeah but surely not 8000! I was wondering if some could be in the temple, protecting the dragons and is Missandei with Greyworm?

So many questions!! Grin

I like the idea of Shireen's energy helping Jon.
I think dying in her sleep isn't fitting for the red witch. I want to see Ser Davos's revenge for Shireen when he finds out what she's done.

Just read this on reddit and thought it was a good catch:

I actually loved the Mel part at the end. You can really start to see her losing it and breaking down, not just in appearances. One thing that I immediately caught before she stripped away her facade was that she was sitting by the fire, rubbing her hands together. She's cold. She's said in the past that she doesn't get cold, that the Lord of Light warms her from within. And that is now gone. It's actually pretty sad.

Melisandra DID seem sad, and cold. Maybe she feels the Lord Of Light is no longer speaking to her and she's lost. I'm hoping she has some sort of dream and wakes with the realisation that she can bring Jon back to life in the same way that Beric Dondarion (I think?) brought his friend back multiple times.

Also, Dany had a MASSIVE army, more than the number of supposed Sons of The Harpy so it's just silly that they managed to do so much damage last season. (random thought there)

But the Unsullied work on classical army tactics. What the Harpys are doing is the equivalent of the Vietcong. Guerilla warfare.

Watched this today. Good episode recapping most characters. Forgotten how stressful it can be when they can kill anyone off at any time!

Few theories about Melisandre online - one that she did look old in the bath (in previous season) when she had the necklace off and Stannis’s wife could see her as she really was, and was shocked by her appearance, rather than the initial thoughts in the scene that she was just uncomfortable seeing her naked, another that she is giving up her youth/life to give Jon some years. Or does she just look like that every night but is creating an illusion to others. I am not sure that she can bring people back to life…if she can, surely it has to be fairly immediate? But I just read this about Thoros on Wikiepedia:

Thoros, commonly known as Thoros of Myr, is a recurring character in the third and sixth seasons. He is played by Paul Kaye. Thoros is a red priest of the Lord of Light and a noted warrior.

Sixth season? Hmmm...

Wonder too if they will burn Jon’s body (they normally would) and perhaps he won’t burn?!

Glad Brienne has found Sansa and that Pod is okay! So do we think Theon is “back” as himself? Hope so…and hope the Boltons get what’s coming to them.

And glad Ghost is okay and the night's watch didn’t do anything nasty to him!

Ah yes about Jon not burning!!

Thoros is played by Paul Kaye who has apparently been spotted filming..!
Yes I thought that the Knight's watch might burn Jon's body. Perhaps burning a Targaryan causes rebirth. Daenarys was 'reborn' as the mother of dragons.

There was something online about Ian mcshane (who's in it for 1 episode this season) giving away a plot line - he's said “I am responsible for bringing somebody back that you think you’re never going to see again. I’ll leave it at that.” One theory is the hound, that would be ace. I'm almost 100% Mel will resurrect Jon Snow but my friend reckons he's part targereon and if they burn him he'll come back to life somehow like Daenerys in the first season with the dragon eggs. I love all the theories going round Grin

I think Rickon is still wandering around the North with Aysha (or similar name?)The wilding woman who was at Winterfell. She helped Bran and Rickon escape with Hodor when Theon took over.

I do hope the Hound comes back and that is who Ian McShane is going to resurrect. I really want to see the Hound vs the Mountain/Ser Robert Strong.

Could Daenerys find a trove of dragon eggs in Vaes Dothrak? Don't they have tons of stolen antiquities?

I'm bored to tears by Bran, Hodor and the girl who was sister to the annoying boy from Love Actually. Thank God he's dead and the others didn't show their faces in the last series. That Rickon can perish as well. I didn't mind Asha, but if seeing her again means having to see the rest of them, she can fuck off too.

Finally got to watch this on catch up. I found it a bit disappointing to be honest. It was good don't get me wrong, but after waiting for so long I sort of wanted 100% pure action from the word go, rather than a gentle recapping of the last episode!

Not sure that we can read too much into Melisandre's behaviour yet. She's bound to be a bit depressed, she fucked up and got it all wrong 😂

Seeing Brienne turn up was awesome, and I'm glad Jaime is back with Cersei but I'm really very ready for some proper full on dragon action now. Its surely about time?!!

I admit I skimmed many of the Jon Snow/Bran passages through all seven books. Then went back and read them properly after as I was afraid I'd missed something. I hadn't. Although I think Brans character will shine this season in visions/flashbacks. I hope it's pretty damn mind blowing. I want to go Ahhhh!!

Ned Stark cuts mans head off for his "mad ravings" and desertion of duty/being a traitor. He gets his head chopped off for same. Jaime pushed Bran out the window, lost a hand. Cersei went to visit Lady stark at her childs death bed (at that time) with a mouth full lies, her son was suffocated with poison, Theon murdered his lovers children, and had his favourite toy taken away. Renly was killed by the shadow of his brother, something he had always been himself. The pedo who suffered horrific death at the hands of a little girl. Who's getting what next? What will happen to littlefinger?

I think he will either be dropped from a great height mirroring what he did to Lysa or he'll be deep dragon fried.
I think Varys will be involved no matter what as he has tried to best him at the political maneuvering.
What makes me think he may be dragon fodder is when Varys says of him that he'd watch the world burn if he could rule the ashes. Instead the whole of Kings Landing may watch him burn.

Sigh, I fear I will be the person who gets told ODFOD

BUT.

"stuff on nice bloke's arm" Greyscale = stuff Nice Bloke = Jorah Mormont

I heartily and sincerely urge all who haven't to READ THE BOOKS it would be so much easier to follow. I am that fucking annoying pedant itching to state it's 5 books not 7 2 were released in volumes as paperbacks because they were too long.

Bran is back this series. Definitely. I really think we will be seeing Lady Stoneheart.
I refuse to accept that Jon Snow is dead because of the RIGHTNESS of the widespread fan theory about who his birth parents are. I figure they've delayed Lady Stoneheart because the reveal would be less surprising otherwise.

Kit Harington did say on JR Show he's "not on the show anymore" but that could always mean...for now......

It is a shame that some of the stuff around in the 5th book has not made it or at least not yet to screen.

Sansa needs to be the one to kill Littlefinger

She knows he killed Joffrey
She knows he killed Lyssa
He sold her to a psychotic rapist as a political move

And she trusted him.

Though in the books the latter hasn't happened yet, but probably still will.

yumyumpoppycat · 26/04/2016 23:11

Sansa seemed to be a little in love with him though - and where will we be without littlefinger; he is the maypole...actually where is littlefinger?

Love the idea of natural justice though. I missed (or forgot) that about the children theon killed.
