I've just seen the new .

Hang on to your hats for a another round of pregnancy/childbirth bingo and the continuing adventures of the most drama-filled antenatal group and understaffed maternity unit in the country!

Previous thread here to remind yourselves of last series/loose ends and see if any of Bertie's predictions come true!

Ooh good call trixie

1AngelicFruitCake · 17/05/2016 21:49

Sweetheart!! Angry Darling every two minutes!!Confused

Hate how that gay couple are made out to be comedy characters. They couldn't just be normal people, they have to be ridiculously over the top!

Cherrypie32 · 17/05/2016 21:50

The two midwives couldn't be more annoying if they tried.

Cherrypie32 · 17/05/2016 21:50

Can that one talk in a normal or even loud voice, the bloody whispering.

kinkytoes · 17/05/2016 21:51

Argh this is terrible. On the verge of being unwatchable!

Cherrypie32 · 17/05/2016 21:52

The girl giving birth is very good though.

TrixieBernadette · 17/05/2016 21:55

She was a great actress who gave birth.

How dare that midwife interfere with a surrogacy!!!!

TrixieBernadette · 17/05/2016 21:57

Kim's voiceover is so bloody annoying

Cherrypie32 · 17/05/2016 21:59

Mostly they all annoyed me tonight.

1AngelicFruitCake · 17/05/2016 22:00

I know she's not exactly making new mum's feel better, talking about 'my gorgeous man making me food'

Tigresswoods · 17/05/2016 22:01

Rick, what a fuck up!

southeastdweller · 17/05/2016 22:04

I was a bit Shock at the senior midwife lying. If I was Nathan or Andrew I'd have immediately smelt a rat and asked for a second opinion.

BertieBotts · 17/05/2016 22:35

Honestly that was about the only bit that rang true! I mean TBH it's fairly usual for new mums to stay in hospital for a night or two.

Paid surrogacy isn't even legal. They are allowed to compensate for costs but money "to pay off your debts" wouldn't be covered. Private adoption is legal, but it has to be done properly, there's no "Just come and pick him up tomorrow" about it. Birth mums have six weeks to change their minds and from what I have heard midwives and social workers will do a lot of checks to see if she is sure before it goes through.

They're obviously going to end up taking Louie instead and Leopard woman will be the doting aunty.

Tigresswoods · 17/05/2016 22:41

I don't care what happens so long as Kim knocks her super smug blog on the head. I thought mum blogs were all about drinking, snot, poo accidents & choosing child proof sofas?!?

BertieBotts · 17/05/2016 23:01

Also if gay couple have done so much research - they wouldn't have just employed their cleaner's daughter. They would have gone through a proper agency and got somebody who really understood what they were getting into and who would stick to the letter on their healthy eating etc, not some young girl.

I agree they are written terribly, like some awful stereotype from the 80s. They managed to write lesbians as normal people last season, what went wrong? Confused

CountessOfStrathearn · 17/05/2016 23:42

How did the teenage dad register Davina's birth, given that he isn't married to the mother of his child?

It is all a bit melodramatic and full of holes and could really have done with someone, anyone who has ever had a baby before, doing a bit of fact checking.

CountessOfStrathearn · 17/05/2016 23:58

Aargh! And another "sometimes babies go quiet when they are getting ready to be born". Angry

(Really shouldn't be watching this but I've got insomnia...)

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 18/05/2016 00:18

I think it's all getting a bit too much for Rosie. I didn't think Jude was meant to be working? Wasn't that the point of the GCSE resits?

There were lots of very sweet babies to look at though Smile

kinkytoes · 18/05/2016 07:12

I agree with both your points Countess.

I can't believe this is primetime TV. Hmm

emmalimesmom · 18/05/2016 08:07

you can tell its a different writer
i think kay mellor should stop letting her daughter take over the writeing of her dramas (playing the field as well) she'll ruin her good reputation for her dramas

Housewife2010 · 18/05/2016 08:13

For the second series, the childminders family's life is still one of unrelenting misery. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't attempt to kill themselves by the end if the series. Everyone is miserable except for smug blogger, so we all know that some disaster is waiting to befall her! I know we watch it for drama, but a little less of the unrelenting misery would be nice!

officebairn · 18/05/2016 12:17

I thought Rowana's son hated her and wanted nothing to do with her so was surprised how happy he was to see her there.

Does anyone else find Jasmin extremely irritating, demanding and unpleasant? How a sweetheart Wink like Dev can bear it, i'll never know..

EachandEveryone · 18/05/2016 12:27

Jasmine is so spoilt she's awful. There are far too many stereotypes in this for my liking. I'm sick of miserable northern dramas. They make us all look haggered and down trodden and so bloody poor. It's annoying. Having said that infant wait for Cold Feet to come back this year.

That midwife with the glasses would've been reported to the NMC several times over last night. Interfering bag.

dottypotter · 18/05/2016 12:29

was waiting for one of the dads when he went outside to say ooh I feel a little queer!

They will end up no doubt getting the baby left in the toilet and the mum who gave birth will keep her son.

SheHasAWildHeart · 18/05/2016 13:10

Both midwives are a disgrace. The younger, blonde one telling the other mum that Rosie baby's cord was infected etc at the beginning - ever heard of patient confidentiality?
