Morning! That's good news BK glad it went well.

I'm up early as DD is off to a competition although DH is taking her this time, thank goodness. I'm just on waking up and packed lunch duties before they leave - then onto my domestics - can't wait! Have a good day everyone.

Great news BK. It'll be a big relief I know.

I was up at 6. When we were away, I left my mobile on UK time so when I looked at it this morning, I thought it was 7am as I automatically added on an hour! Back in bed now though with a cat on the pillow. He's missed his creature comforts I think!

To relieved that all is ok with your mum BK.

Up early too this morning but because I have to go to work. So short staffed with sickness at the moment.

I didn't sleep last night at all, DH has man flu... And DS travelled to RAF Cranwell last night, Lincoln and having tried to call so many times and sending texts, nothing!! Amazing that he is on his phone 24/7 but when I want to make sure he is ok - nothing!
I got a text at 5.30am to say he was fine. Ahhhh. Competition today and then back tonight! Stress!

Morning all typical that the wearer was gorgeous yesterday and today it's back to being a dull and cold. Hopefully still get out for a walk today too blow away the lurgies.

Thanks ice. No eligible men in Palma really. Not that I was particularly looking though there were a couple of pretty good looking business types in the hotel. There were lots of retired folk around - the time of year I suppose. We went through one village (if that's the right description, small resort maybe?) which appeared to have been taken over by ex-pat Germans. There was a German solicitor, dentist, medical centre, estate agent, bank and bakery.

DH has taken DD off to football this morning. She looked cute bless her as she had all her football stuff for the first time. She wouldn't let me take her photo though! One twin is going swimming this afternoon to for the first time! Eek!

Thanks for that ice. It's horrible - it reminds me of typing on a typewriter (there will be people on here who don't remember typewriters) when the ribbon needed changing. I really don't like it!

Me either ilove, there's a whole thread on it here, there are a lot of people not happy about it. It makes my eyes go funny, and it's on my laptop, iPad and phone, despite them saying that nothng will change on tablets. Hey ho.

Glad you are back safe and sound, lovely to see your pictures. I'm spending the day taking down beds, rearranging hand kids room so they fit, and putting together new ones (although the that might be another day, might have to do indoor camping tonight!).

We all managed to get out for a good walk before popping up to work where they were holding an open day so had a mooch around.
Now wine and rugby yay. Oh and after 5 days mini mads has decided to eat something more than milk and banana hooray!

Dry day here in Bath now preparing to drive to collect DS from Nottingham to take him to South Wales as he has missed the minibus due to being in Leeds last night... all part of the parent taxi service!!

Morning all. Made one cake and the red wine jellies for my afternoon tea last night but need to do the sponge cake and scones this morning. I'm not the best scone maker really. My Mum used to win prizes with hers and although I use the same recipe, they seem to dry out very quickly so I won't make them till about 1 pm to be on the safe side.

Rhubarb you are spoiling us! Thank you. I hope you can update soon.

Just altered my alarm tone for tomorrow back to "Put some bloody effort in". I forgot to change it and when it blasted out on Tuesday morning, I was waiting for my friend to ask what on earth the racket was but fortunately I switched it off before it registered with her. I had a more mellow alarm for the rest of the holiday!

We had some friends over for dinner last night so massive amounts of washing up and tidying this morning, and then heading off for a dog walk with some friends and a pub lunch. Yet another excuse to swerve the ironing mountain!

Yes to the cream and jam. Have gone for whipped, simply because I am entertaining again later in the week and I can finish off the cream. Clotted is a bit limited as to what I would use it for and I doubt it would all get used up this afternoon.

Did Mr Rich recover sufficiently from his manflu to share the hosting duties last night?
