Football is on and I've been banished so browsing the iplayer I've found Thirteen with Richard Rankin as a detective, all good so far!

I'm back - sorry will try to control my slightly delirious ramblings. I didn't know RR was in Thirteen rich. I wasn't really sure what it was about as although BBC3 has gone on line they keep promoting it and repeating stuff on the main channels.

Has anyone seen Dr Thorne? I haven't - yet- but not sure if it's worth a look. I understand Uncle Julian Fellowes has written it, so a bit in two minds as to whether it's Gosford Park good or end of Downton dowdy!

I've been watching that rich, almost exclusively for Rick Rankin

Oooh I loved Richard Rankin in The Syndicate. I think I still have the episode with his most interesting scenes in on my recordings (about 5 mins in and about 56 mins from memory).

Maddie is your boss one who won't let others take advantage but milks the system herself? I had one like that once - a man though. Must say I'm not struck on women bosses generally. Men are much easier to get round!

Just got home from the hospital àfter a day of tests, but good news is that mum is going to be having a pacemaker fitted tomorrow

About 5 years ago my dad had back surgery, he had fused discs in his spine. The op was about 5 hours. I was useless all day. So I know how you will feel. Keep us posted X

BK I remember when my Mum had a heart bypass and valve replacement years ago and I was a complete wreck so like Richtea, I can completely understand how you will feel. I am sure all will be fine but you can't help worrying yourself silly. XX

It's been flipping freezing here all day - overcast and very chilly brrr!

Nothing much exciting planned for the weekend just some essential but much hated housework that needs doing. I will have to put some bloody effort in for once - what a life I lead. Nearly as good as cleaning the fridge Kelly but not quite.
