Sounds a blissful way to spend the day Always. Could you still repeat the script almost word for word? Got to confess that I treated myself to the restaurant scene with my lunch yesterday (twice).

Really frosty here this morning. Gardening and fence painting on hold for a couple of hours at least and definitely too cold to get my bike out.

MaddieMoo82 · 10/04/2016 09:11

Morning allSmile

Don't think that's shameful always, good work I reckon!

Weather looks like it's gonna be pretty pants so going to put DS down for a nap and take the dog out. MrMads is dying upstairs after getting in at 4am. Me and DS have tried to make as much noise as possible but he seems to be sleeping through it Angry

Morning. pix I've only just recovered sufficiently to come on here and post. Tuna Bake!!! Psml this morning though at the Jake Yapp synopsis of The Archers in its entirety.

Fortunately my big red alarm button started flashing and beeping to alert me that the dastardly woof was attempting to butt in and tempt the boys deep into her forest. I'd have thought the incident in Trafalgar Square with the pigeons would have put you off laying out your crumbs again woof? Confused

pixieg1rl · 10/04/2016 10:16

A spot of emergency hoovering and back to back watching of the most annoying thing you can find on beebies should do the trick Mads.

Just about to get stuck into Outlander

As I'm a lady of leisure today with plenty of time to waste on mumsnet, I just wanted to share this thread with you. It's not very long and has a very unpromising title but I haven't laughed so hard in ages:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2604660-That-weirdo-who-keeps-the-loo-roll-in-a-drawer

ilove I would say that the whole series was just comfortingly familiar. I haven't re-watched it that often to know the script completely by heart (except perhaps the restaurant scene!) but it all came back and I fell in love with captain stern face all over again.

Ilovelblue · 10/04/2016 10:45

I love some of those threads - there are some strange folk on there. I know we are all pals on here now but I read one earlier in the week where the woman had started posting about 3 am and I felt so sorry for her as if she had no "real" friends to talk to. I just can't believe some of the subjects people raise. Makes me feel quite boring in comparison.

Mind you Always the one about the rescue dicks (ducks) had tears rolling down my face!

Alwaysfrank · 10/04/2016 13:32

Indeed ilove - nowt so queer as folk, as my old grandma used to say!

Alwaysfrank · 10/04/2016 13:32

And yes to the tears rolling! Grin

Ilovelblue · 10/04/2016 14:12

OMG Whajeb has updated again. Wonderful lunchtime treat. How does she do it??

MaddieMoo82 · 10/04/2016 14:51

It's amazing ilove! So clever! Was a welcome break from my ironing.

Staring at this picture lots Grin Beats staring at a stale alcohol smelling MrMads Hmm

moojangles · 10/04/2016 18:00

rhu belated congrats to your dd on her 500 word story, clearly a creative family

orphan · 10/04/2016 18:39

Yes, me too. Big congrats to your dd rhubarb. That's a massive achievement. We've been looking at previous entries at school and they're sooo good.

I'm similarly impressed you managed to find some decent navy trousers ilove. I've tried on a few pairs that look good on the hanger, but once on, make me look uncannily like a dustbin man or possibly a municipal park attendant. And that wasn't the look I was going for.

orphan · 10/04/2016 18:45

I do wish BA would ditch that backwards cap. He looks uncomfortably too much like my son in that pic (and I wish my ds would ditch his cap).

Richtea19 · 10/04/2016 18:45

Meant to say rhu well done to DD for making the second round! What a fantastic achievement, and she obviously gets her talent from you!

Nickel45 · 10/04/2016 21:12

Wow, rhu well done to your DD, that's brilliant, you must be so proud :)

Good pic of BA, SL is on a bit of a roll with his posting, isn't he. They must be loving it out there, although they do seem to be having a lot of r&r time?! Lucky boys, topping up the tan! I'd love to be on a beach in the sun ... So, storms and rain in the UK this week?!

moojangles · 10/04/2016 21:16

Watching OG in French. Soundtrack not the same, and Molly's slang translated literally! Taters as very cold. CJ still wonderfully arrogant.
Trying to get the German version to play, for research of courseGrin

moojangles · 10/04/2016 21:18

Smurf is still Smurf tho

Nickel45 · 10/04/2016 21:25

That's so funny mooj. What do they translate 'prannet' as? Wink or coco pops, come to that?!

moojangles · 10/04/2016 21:29

Or should I say Schtroumpf

cjwoofwoof · 10/04/2016 21:57

Oops looks like those John Denver glasses are doing the rounds Ice

Ilovelblue · 10/04/2016 22:21

With you all the way orphan on BA with that backwards facing baseball cap. It does nothing whatsoever for his image. I still think he needs a personal shopper/dresser/stylist.

On a bit of a rant here but you know I said last night I was looking after my neighbour's cats whilst she was at a hen party in London? We have a reciprocal arrangement so really in my own mind unless one of us is going away for - say - a week's holiday or more, there should be no need to keep bringing presents back. I tell her this every time but no, she insists on bringing sh*te back. (It also means I have to bring things back for her). There was a dreadful gargoyle type bird feeder last year and today she brought back a hideous photo frame. She said "If you don't like it, I have the receipt" and it was so hideous, I said straight off that it wasn't me. The trouble is, although I have 28 days in which to return it, the nearest store to me is in Manchester (25 miles away) and it will cost me more in petrol/train fare than the stupid thing is worth. Not only that, but all my weekends are spoken for until 28 May! What am I supposed to do?

Ilovelblue · 10/04/2016 22:57

Ooooh, Laceybird has published another story!

Ilovelblue · 11/04/2016 07:26

Morning! We are being spoiled at the moment - a one shot from Lola now. What a nice way to start a Monday.
