Ooh Matron! Bear Grylls receiving colonic irrigation in front of all and sundry on his Mission Survive prog. Who's the Bear fan on here? Very little left to the imagination and Jason Gardener didn't seem to mind taking his turn when the others had to bite on a stick not Bear's unfortunately

Evening.

I've made three cakes tonight to take in to work tomorrow: banana, Victoria sponge and coffee and mandarin. Just sitting down and opening my birthday cards and presents. For whatever reason, I've always opened things the night before ever since I started work. I think it's because when you're working, you don't really have time to appreciate the cards and so on the actual day.

pixie and Maddie had you wanted to know what my elderly friend gave me as a present? She's the one who always gives cr*p stuff - last birthday it was two shopping bags and the year before it was a ceramic sandwich tray. This year's offering was ok in parts. There was some very nice hand lotion (I use bucket loads of the stuff when I'm gardening) but the piece de resistance was a 2005 CD of Katherine Jenkins. I can take or leave KJ but would never think of thinking of buying one of her CDs and I have no idea why my friend thinks it's a good present. Any takers for it??

Just going to leave a review for greenstuff. It's the penultimate chapter so hope she has something else bubbling away for us.

PS Maddie I saw precisely 7 minutes of DIY SOS at the end - didn't know what the family's circumstances were or anything else and still cried!

I am on holiday at our place in the Mediterranean... Me in full DIY and "wilderness" mode. Been picking wild asparagus by the bucketful, fixing this and that, putting together fairy lights for the patio and for the house in general, which I think compete now with a Home Alone movie, if it wasn't for the green setting. Feels good.

Cricket is a mistery (which my phone is correctly trying to change into misery, cause it's smart like that!), but i must admit white trousers can be fascinating...

I have to share this with you, it amused me no end. On the way back from our Italian meal, the friend who went to Bailbrook House with me (and who therefore knows and sort of shares my addiction to everything CJ) informed me that there was to be a second series of Our Girl and Ben Aldridge was to be in it with Michelle Keegan. Another friend didn't know who MK was and so Bailbrook House friend filled her in - Corrie, married to Mark Wright etc. I couldn't let it pass that she thought she knew something I didn't, so I said I already knew and it was being filmed in South Africa at the moment but was supposed to be set in Kenya. Fortunately, before she could ask how I knew (as she really knows I am not normally addicted to TV like she actually is), another friend said "Is that the one Ilove drools over" and we laughed and the moment passed.

Bailbrook friend has no idea about my real addiction to everything OG/BA/CJ. I've not even shared any of the SA filming shots with her!
