Happy Easter everybody, I am peeking here just briefly to wish you all well, real life is veeeeery busy now...but I still get pictures and news every now and then via the OG page on FB, and this kind of warms me up again :-)

Happy Easter everyone . Thanks for all your messages. Just been looking at my Nan's photo albums with my mum and DS2 x

cherin we miss you! All your crazy-ness! The ballet was wonderful. So clever how they arranged it for small people. They had a narrator (I was wondering how little ones would understand the "no talking"). The costumes were clearing English National as they were stunning. I still giggle at the men in tights with their teddy bears down there!!!!

aspara I still love looking at old photos of mum, I hope it wasn't to upsetting for you.

ilove I meant to say that the plant you gave me is in the garden in one of the beds, I'm praying Mr Badger doesn't dig it up!

Evening all feel knackered! Too much roast and chocolate. There is a pile of ironing lurking in the corner but not sure I can face it!
It all seems to have gone very quiet in South Africa in terms of pictures etc.

Absolutely shattered. Constant running nerf gun battles with nephews all day (hells bells I'm unfit) on top of 4.5 hours sleep according to my Fitbit. Now I have to prep tomorrow's ham for MIL's visit.

Back from friends for Easter meal. Got to confess one of the other guests irritated me a bit so am now back home and waiting to watch TNM final episode.

That's the one ilove, it's all prepped and in the slow cooker. Trying to stay awake for night manager now

Been doing washing, Easter egg hunts with the the kids, although DD kept telling the boys where all the eggs were and doing dishes after a Sunday dinner.

Reading Outlander now. I want to get a few hours in reading it.

I have a retired work friend coming tomorrow and I've got a bit fed up cooking for her as she rarely shows any appreciation that you've been sweating over the cooker for her so we're eating out. I've given her 3 pubs/restaurants to choose from and have booked the one she picked.

It was lovely looking at photos including ones I'd never seen before of when my mum was growing up and amazingly one of my grandad and his crew 2 days before they were shot down over Germany in WW2 where he survived and was a prisoner of war. He died over 20 years ago (partly due to diabetes as a result of being POW). He was never bitter

They're lovely aspara it's always a shame when you learn interesting things about your grandparents after they've gone. After my grandma died I found the letters my Grandad sent her in the war. There was a very sad one about the state of the civilian population after the surrender of Italy (he was in the medical corps)

Ah what lovely pictures apsara. Very interesting pictures of his air crew too. Such a shame what would happen to them a couple of days later. Did they fly inside a Lancaster bomber? It looks familiar. I'm afraid me and my Dad have a huge interest in WW2 aircraft and airfields.

Just watched the last two episodes of TNM back to back. Will massively regret it when DS wakes in the night but it was amazing!! Still lusting after TH but might be a tiny bit in love with Hugh Laurie! Yikes! Think I've eaten too much chocolate and need to go to bed!

What did you think of the ending Maddie? I can appreciate TH but he didn't float my boat like CJ/BA does.

Been raining in the night but doesn't look as if the storm has got this far north. The forecast is for it to be fine the rest of the day. Mind you, we've had enough wind and rain this winter to last us years.

Best hoover up before my friend appears and I need to make some scones for tea.

I really enjoyed it ilove just kind of felt it was all wrapped up really quickly and sort of wanted more but I guess that would have ruined it. No idea what's on Sunday nights now that's over

I've got TNM to watch tonight, I think the new program is called The Durrells, with Keeley Hawes, I sw a preview, and it looked quite good. Will probably give it a go,

Morning. Hope the Easter bunny visited everyone yesterday. Mini eggs are still being found round our house - last year a couple stayed hidden for about 6 months.

Had roast lamb yesterday but complete FAIL on Yorkshire puds. Someone the prime suspect is dp turned off the oven. Result: tiny soggy batter puddles completely stuck to the pan. Fortunately, guests were distracted by lashings of prosecco (new top tip - add creme de peche for extra yumminess) and our cat coughing up a fur ball.
