Oh and I still have TNM binge fest to enjoy. Am wondering though if I want to watch it with dp...won't I need to rewind, pause drool etc quite a few times?

MaddieMoo82 · 28/03/2016 10:09

Oh dear orphan mine were a fail too but completely my fault. Was distracted and made the batter too thick and they came out like fairy cakes Shock

moojangles · 28/03/2016 10:11

Have just scrolled through the thread. What lovely photos aspara

cherin · 28/03/2016 10:44

aspara what lovely pictures and stories.
I am very much into history and particularly WWII. Have been to the RAF museum at Colindale recently, what a place!!! Bit of madness going there with both kids (the little one was running around like crazy! Thanks god the staff must have seen worse, cause nobody even blinked...)
My grandpa was a carpenter and during the war was never conscripted because he was considered essential...employed as civilian for the Air Force to build and fix all those parts of airplanes made in timber. Apparently he once had to work on mussolini's plane :-O but he died just before I was born so I could never ask him details...
(We clearly would not have been on the same side, at least at the beginning of war ;-) but that's history, right?)

icemistOBE · 28/03/2016 11:08

Morning, storm appears not to have hit us at all apart from heavy rain. Just in case me and toddler have been out to asda already.
Boys are being quiet at moment watching Tortoise and Hare on CBeebies.

6 yo has declared he's not getting dressed today, don't mind too much but he decided a few weeks ago he won't wear pyjamas anymore so he's just in undies, thankfully we won't have any visitors today Grin

OP posts:
orphan · 28/03/2016 11:22

Your littlie sounds like me ice. I'm also tempted to declare a non- dressed day today but keeping the pjs on thankfully as I'm finding it hard to summon the enthusiasm to get dressed. Dp's desire to visit the garden centre for chitting potatoes isn't helping either...

orphan · 28/03/2016 11:27

Have to admit maddie that I'm used to yorkshire pud failure and it is usually my fault so it was nice to lay the blame at someone else's door this time!

I love your pics aspara. Photos are so precious aren't they? Just wish I'd asked questions before my parents died - I've literally boxes of old photos which are a bit of a mystery to me.

pixieg1rl · 28/03/2016 11:32

Mil just turned up an hour early.....

pixieg1rl · 28/03/2016 11:39

And I thought MrP had been upstairs the last hour cleaning the bathroom, but no, he's been arranging his driftwood collection Angry

Lancasters and Halifaxs kelly. Hex was an engineer with a Canadian squadron. He wanted to say in but my Nan didn't want to move to Canada. He only ever told us the exciting bits like they had a radio - with all the bits hidden in false bottoms on tins from Red Cross parcels. Towards the end they were plotting the allied advance on a map and the wardens of the camp would come to look as they were being told nothing by their superiors.
Off the see superman v batman with DS2. I booked before another friend said she thought it was too violent - oops

Richtea19 · 28/03/2016 15:31

pix you made me laugh!!! My MIl not only arrives early but also unannounced... I'm used to it now and usually work out when she's going to drop in, based on why she wants or another visit to member of the family. I'm sure she does it to catch me out.

Yorkshires, I don't bother making them anymore as they are so terrible, I go for the supermarket ones, waitrose are very authentic Wink. Doing Jamie O 5 hour lamb today, my dad is over. It's so easy, prep and leave, then yorkshires for 5 mins!!

Afternoon all.

Been to the shops today to swap my book over and got a few odds and ends at M&S. Tried to get on the tablet earlier but all 3 kids were deep in concentration with some game or other.

Oo ice lovely pic. Those two blokes on the bottom left are blimmin gorgeous. If they're going to be dressed in camo gear, I'll definitely need a lie down. Grin I think I can only recognise a couple of the familiar faces in that pic.

Hope the MIL visit goes smoothly pix.

Ah, apsara Lancasters were a lovely plane. Very agile to fly for such a large aircraft. Stories of POW are so fascinating too.

Twins are asleep and DD is outside hoovering the car with DH so I'm going to read more OL Smile

icemistOBE · 28/03/2016 16:27

Luke (D'Artagnan) is special forces! Let's hope for lots of combat and camo gear Grin

Hello - am introducing myself from the swagger inn thread - where we discuss lust the fine acting skills of the boys in The Musketeers -

IcemistOBE kindly showed me the way to you merry bunch and am hoping to find kindred spirits - women admiring men in uniform (in a nutshell Luca is my weakness)

icemistOBE · 28/03/2016 19:34

Hi again

"Hi" < waves back>!

Onlygirljen · 28/03/2016 19:48

Evening ladies Easter Smile [waves].

Have been having a break for a while, mainly because I've been dealing with or more accurately not dealing with some real life stuff and didn't feel I had much to contribute. In the spirit of trying to get myself into a better place, have been catching up today. Hope everyone is well!

Glad to see orphan has surfaced from her salami adventures, and that the pics are still coming in from SA. Hope all the sick littlies are doing better too! Waving to cherin on her return. Also hope pixie has survived the mil visit intact. Really sorry to read your news apsara, hope you're doing ok. Sounds like you've all had enjoyable Easter weekends, mine was spent in a break on the beach near portpatrick all good except for the 85mph winds.

After reading about chippie favourites guess what I'm off to have for dinner? I can indeed confirm that you haven't lived until you've tried a deep fried pizza Grin

And waving hi to Darts, sounds like you'll fit in well here!!

pixieg1rl · 28/03/2016 20:21

Welcome darts, or is it tarts? I hope the thought of a musketeer in low slung combats is something to look forward to.

I hope you've dealt with the life crap adequately Jen. Good to have you back.

MIL was here all day, she brought over some weird crafting thing for DS and then fell asleep on the sofa while I had to do it with him. On finding out that we're off for a few more days she now expects us to go over later in the week.

DartsTart · 28/03/2016 20:40

tart is how most people refer to me SmileGrinWink

MaddieMoo82 · 28/03/2016 20:40

Hi darts Easter Smile

Glad to hear your ok jen and hope everything's ok now Flowers

pix can't believe you let that info slip. Will she forget it will you have to visit?

Rushing about getting everything ready for tomorrow, feel pretty grim.... Probably the thought of work after 4 days off or 2 roasts in 2 days and a ridiculous amount of chocolate

orphan · 28/03/2016 20:42

Hello darts - if you are under a restraining order have a penchant for men in uniform preferably with impressive Bulge then you're def in the right place here.

Yay, jen our very own Queen of QS! Guess what I've been rereading?! Hope RL picks up for you. X

DartsTart · 28/03/2016 20:45

orphan am beginning to feel very much at home on this thread a meeting of like minded perverts- a very welcoming crew you all are -

orphan · 28/03/2016 20:51

Just wait til the Chief Pervert woof turns up, darts. Her welcome is legendary amongst the military, the Bulgarian male gymnastic squad, the Oxford and Cambridge rowing crews - the list goes on...Confused

DartsTart · 28/03/2016 20:57

Ooo i do like a rower - Lycra and thighs is a good combination - esp when presented on the male of the species
