Just saw we were dangerously close to filling the last thread so have taken the liberty as starting this one.

Ah yes, Christopher Plummer as the Captain does things to me too.

Ida - Those pictures are amazing! He looks better out of his dog collar!

Ignore me, I'm an insufferable know all. It's just that I feel I've found my people. Apart from the ones who think Patrick isn't attractive and Shelagh is ruined. I'll work on them later Wink

ShelaghTurner · 05/03/2016 15:32

Liking the idea of Sr W being garrotted by her own judgypants though. Like that a lot...

StitchesInTime · 05/03/2016 15:33

Trixie was looking a bit hacked off about Tom and Barbara's romance too.

WineOrSleep · 05/03/2016 15:43

I don't think it's anything to do with smoking or medical diseases... I think it's either "hit by a bus"-esque or suicide, I think Trixie. Long speech last week at AA, been looking sad and wistful recently

NeedACleverNN · 05/03/2016 15:45

Could it be sister Monica Joan who has a huge heart attack whilst asleep and passes away?

Her family came from money and I know she spent her jewels on the tv but maybe she has a bit of money stashed away and that paid for her funeral

Pebble21uk · 05/03/2016 15:46

Do you think that if it was Trixie it sends out a bit of a grim message though... give up drink = nothing work living for??

I'm secretly hoping it's Tim... he was fine when he was little but can't bare him as a know-all teenager. Perhaps he'll leave for uni soon - discover girls, drugs, drink & never look back!

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 05/03/2016 15:54

I don't think it'll be an illness, not over one episode. Sister Bernadette's TB went on for some time. There would need to be lots of pained expressions, praying and knitting.

It'll be a sudden thing.

Saw a picture of Nurse Crane reading something and looking stressed. But knowing her it could just be a petrol bill...

QueenofQuirkiness · 05/03/2016 15:54

I think it will either be Sister Evangelina with her health problems or Trixie killing herself - which will be awful and won't send out a positive message to any alcoholics in recovery.

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 05/03/2016 15:55

Why would PC Noakes be there?

He looks all 'official' like Tom. There as a work thing rather than a personal thing. Why would police attend a funeral?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 05/03/2016 16:03

I wouldn't care if it were Trixie, Sr Winifred, Sr Mary C, Dr Turner (or any of his family). I think it will be Chummy though. I really hope it isn't Sr M-J or Sr E.

As long as the handsome vicar is still in it all will be well.

StitchesInTime · 05/03/2016 16:05

Would a policeman attending a funeral in a personal capacity maybe wear uniform as a mark of respect?

ShelaghTurner · 05/03/2016 16:05

Tim! My little Tim!

I used to dread Sr E leaving but she's more or less been replaced in the tough-but-caring role by Nurse Crane who is ace!

ShelaghTurner · 05/03/2016 16:05

ShockShockShockShock

StitchesInTime · 05/03/2016 16:06

Tim seems to have recovered very well from polio, doesn't he?

Does he still need the leg braces?

Pebble21uk · 05/03/2016 16:12

If it was Chummy, wouldn't she need to come back for this final episode for it to have any impact though? Deaths 'off screen' are always a cop-out. I'm pretty sure she's not in the cast list for tomorrow. And wouldn't PC Noakes be looking a little more devastated??

My money is still on Sister E!

And yes - she and Nurse Crane both kind of fulfill the same role now... and that nunnery maybe ain't big enough for the both of them!!

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 05/03/2016 16:17

And wouldn't PC Noakes be looking a little more devastated??

Doesn't really see her does he? And it would explain why he's there.

Sister Evangelina had her 'big day' last season with her jubilee and her plimsoles.

It might be Sister Julienne. This could be the Last Ever Episode...

Pebble21uk · 05/03/2016 16:36

This could be the Last Ever Episode...

There's defo a Series 6 already commissioned... the saga continues!

Lj8893 · 05/03/2016 16:40

The articles I have read have said nonattus (sp?) house are shocked as one of their own dies, so I think The turner family are safe. It will be a nun or a midwife.

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 05/03/2016 16:47

Yes, it'll be someone who lives in the house.

Tom doesn't look too devastated so Barbara is safe. Nurse Crane is fretting over her petrol bill so it's not her. Don't think it's Sister Evangeline, just had a stroke, too easy. Sister Monica Joan would be a cop out, besides, she's like Yoda - she's necessary. If it was Sister Judgy-pants no one would care and they've already used the word 'mourning'. Patsy and Delia have the big lesbian storyline to come and they've already been through plenty.

Pebble21uk · 05/03/2016 16:51

I'm liking your investigative style Jaffa

ShelaghTurner · 05/03/2016 16:53

I swear to God if Patsy and Dopey Delia kiss before the Turners do there will be murders AngryAngry

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 05/03/2016 16:55

Haven't the Turners kissed?

I thought they tried for a baby?

NeedACleverNN · 05/03/2016 16:56

Shelagh and Patrick kiss all the time....
Don't they?!

Angelto5 · 05/03/2016 16:56

So it's definitely not Fred's wife (can't remember her name)?

Lj8893 · 05/03/2016 17:05

The turners have kissed surely?! They started to get all frisky in the tent the other night!
