There have been some great ff uploads over the past couple of days. Honestly, there's been nothing for ages and then they all come at once. Loving greenstuff's of course and now Painted, Lacey Bird and a couple of newcomers.

pixieg1rl · 09/02/2016 08:43

Morning, are you all slaving over bowls of pancake batter this morning? I was hoping to get away with no pancakes day for another year, but one of DS's school friends told him so it's pancakes for tea. Batter made and in the fridge ready.

MaddieMoo82 · 09/02/2016 08:45

Morning all! Storm has passed yay and much calmer here today Smile just been out and check all the fences panels are still intact thank goodness. Full of lurgy but planning on taking dog to the beach for some fresh air whilst my parents have DS for the morning.
Loving all the recent FF.
Have a good day all.

MaddieMoo82 · 09/02/2016 08:47

We're not pancake fans really pix. Don't mind them for breakfast but not for tea! Sure we will succumb when DS is older like you...

pixieg1rl · 09/02/2016 08:49

I used to love them for tea, it was a real treat because my mum was a real stickler for 'proper' dinner.

Must get lemons

pixieg1rl · 09/02/2016 08:54

Have a lovely child free morning mads.

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2016 09:02

Not really a fan of pancakes at Ilove Towers pixie.

Fine at the moment and the sun is trying to come out.

Alwaysfrank · 09/02/2016 09:04

Thought I'd got away with pancake day then ds1 texted from school to remind me!

Just finished watching the program that was on a couple of weeks ago about Breck Bedner (14 year old boy who was murdered by an 18 year old he was friends with online). My kids schools have all mentioned it and are going to use it in phse. Absolutely tragic and his parents were actually quite savvy- makes me think I need to be much more aware of what my children do online. I recommend it if you haven't seen it, it's on iplayer.

apsara03 · 09/02/2016 09:06

As I've got parents evening tonight do not back till late we had them for breakfast. I cheat and do what nigella calls drop scones - more like American pancakes - smaller and thicker so easier to make (doesn't matter if batter a bit lumpy) I had mine with blueberries and maple syrup - they were yummySmile

MaddieMoo82 · 09/02/2016 09:13

Thanks pix
apsara they look lovely, much nicer than my bowl of porridge!

apsara03 · 09/02/2016 09:24

I'll be back on the porridge tomorrow maddie am giving up alcohol for lent so no prosecco for 6 weeks. decided I needed final fling so half a bottle left over from last night to enjoy with outlander tonight (vacuum bottle stoppers what a great invention) am getting just a little bit obsessed with outlander - watched 3 episodes sat,2 sun bit DH insisted we watch bones last night and I've got loads of work so to watching time is limited

Richtea19 · 09/02/2016 12:33

apsar they look fab! Better than my bran flakes this morning!
I'm not home until later today so I've made the mixture up and either the boys attempt to cook them or wait for me! Hope they wait as I can't cope with the mess!

cjwoofwoof · 09/02/2016 16:43

My dog's not overly keen on pancake day...

Not a Marmite fan ice but would make an exception for that "Pot of Love" most definitely!

Heard something on the radio news this morning how many young teenagers have social media accounts and are friends online with people they have never met. I know it's a serious problem but it made me smile - thinking how many of us on here have never met!

When ice and I met up with Richtea last month, she disclosed that one of her sons had shown some concern that his mother wasn't being groomed in any way!

icemistOBE · 09/02/2016 17:03

Oh yes, I had forgotten that ilove

I like marmite, not the best thing I've eaten! But I'd definitely like that jar Grin

Pancakes done and eaten - raspberry & white chocolate, dark chocolate & lemon and good old traditional lemon and sugar. Can't believe a year has passed. I remember discussing pancakes last February.

Marmite - oh yes I've definitely always liked that - a bit partial to twiglets too!

KellyHb · 09/02/2016 20:58

Evening all.

Been busy few days here but finally had time to come on.

Cried my body weight in tears when I watches W&P on Sunday. I won't give out spoilers but Monday was a better day when I had 2 Sky TV engineers at home and one was quite the double of Freddie Flintoff Smile. They were amazed by the twins so they stuck around a bit longer having a chat with them.

I'm full of pancakes! DH's arms were like windmills making them and dishing them out continuously to me and the kids but I was kind and told him he could take a break and have one if he wanted Grin

woof are you not up to any racy episodes of Outlander yet?

Richtea19 · 09/02/2016 21:19

kelly me too! Loved W&P, cried my eyes out, so emotional. Are you watching Happy Valley with JN?

MaddieMoo82 · 09/02/2016 21:20

You sound like you have more luck than me with sky engineers kelly. Last one we had smelt a bit mouldy Confused
I'll second war and peace Sad

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2016 21:30

I'm watching Happy Valley and also watched Holby earlier. I really think the storylines in Holby are getting worse. You're a fan Richtea, what do you think?

I recorded a Channel 4 programme from last night about new recruits into the Royal Navy. Some of those kids look so young - looks as if it'll be quite good. Anyone else seen it?

KellyHb · 09/02/2016 21:35

Yes rich mads I'm going to miss it on a Sunday. JN a perfect D'Arcy type imo. I would but the DVD but don't think I can cope with watching the last episode again.

mads the BT engineer came first just I was rushing around getting the kids out the door but he was only there five minutes but he had a personal hygiene issue too. He had to do the usual remarks. 'glad he's hasnt got to do the school run' 'bet you've got your hands full' etc etc!!

Taping Happy Valley rich although I didn't see the end of the last series so not sure how it ended.

Richtea19 · 09/02/2016 21:43

ilove I watch Holby every week, God knows why as the story lines are ridiculous. I've watched it for so many years (when Owen was the paediatric consultant and Anton Mayer was "God") I can't not watch it now, to much time investment!

Ilovelblue · 09/02/2016 22:02

Richtea that's just what I think. I said at work it was my Holby night and my colleague asked me what was so special about it. I was stumped! I actually couldn't think of a really good reason why I watch it now! Owen was lovely, wasn't he? You would have had real confidence in him.

pixieg1rl · 09/02/2016 22:21

I caught an advert for Granchester this evening Kelly, so it like old like JN will be back on your screen soon. I've recorded W&P but haven't watched any of it yet.

I've just caught up on Deutschland 83, it's such a fantastic drama, so many layers and no one is obviously good or bad.
