apsara outlander have a huge, purpose built studio just outside of Glasgow, but they film all around Scotland (including in one of my local parks!!!). The visit Scotland website is quite good for info if you're looking for where specific scenes are filmed. Castle Leoch is actually Doune Castle (Stirling). You should definitely pay Scotland a visit!

Evening everyone. It stayed fine for most of the day today! Hurray! Hung some washing outside for a change, did more tidying up in the garden, went for a walk (too windy for my bike) and then took the test drive car back to the garage. I did quite like the car - it had dozens of gizmos - but it was a sporty version with only 3 doors (I like 5) and it seemed very dark inside. Nice to be able to try out though.

I'm a good 20 minutes behind on CTM, but I have visions of ilove surrounded by a pile of soggy tissues.

You're not far from the truth pixie but the soggy tissues aren't all from Call the Midwife but my very runny nose as well from my cold. My coldsores look horrible - as if somebody has smacked me one in the mouth.

Obviously the piles of soggy tissues are an everyday hazard chez woof, but with a completely different reason.

Wow, CTM was very moving tonight. Had to then go and research when they made the connection between thalidomide and the birth defects.

Think I've caught up on my sleep, just waiting on the cough to go!

Missed CTM tonight but not sure if I could do with tears!!

Just watched CTM. They are handling this so well, amazing and terrifying. I work in clinical trials, and a lot of what we do is because of thalidomide. Incredibly powerful storylines, it must have been so scary not knowing what was causing it.

I have been sort of watching War and Peace though not sure I've taken it all in. It got a bit too gruesome for me tonight and I switched onto OG episode 5 for a bit, then back to W&P for the ending. Not my sort of drama really if I'm honest.
