I'm hoping for ....

Nickel45 · 08/02/2016 09:57

Poor old Hercules!

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2016 09:57

Need to clear my head of all thoughts of Carpet Man now and concentrate on Manu's thighs astride his stallion instead. Dog walk is in order!! Keep on dusting nick Oven Man won't arrive til 3.55pm at the earliest Confused

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2016 09:59

Ooh now he could tend to my double oven any time he likes! Has he got a horse?

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2016 10:00

Bet you wouldn't mind him taking his time with your pilot light nick

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2016 10:01

...or relighting your back burners...

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2016 10:02

No need to switch to manual either...

Aah yes, the old ones are still the best #SidJamesFanClub

Nickel45 · 08/02/2016 10:10

Badaboom!

(Sorry, was momentarily distracted looking at sexy oven cleaning men pictures! Amazing what you can find on the Internet!)

Nickel45 · 08/02/2016 10:15

How about this man on a horse to clean my oven?

Quality innuendo there woof, my oven mender was MrP's stepdad who looks like a bald Ricky Gervais, wouldn't want him probing my element, though he did comment on how filthy my bottom oven was.

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2016 11:38

Hmm mine too pix

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2016 11:41

That's a very big sword too nick - would come in most handy if he needed to scrape off any dried on crusty bits from your grilling undercarriage

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2016 11:55

And of course this Oven Man on Horseback can always get as close as he likes to my eye level roasting setting and will definitely never be left on standby Grin

Ok ok all those oven jokes have burned me out. Need to focus up now and get some work well done and not think about all that medium rare steak out there any longer or I'll boil over and leave stubborn stains all over the hob shop, thus requiring Mr Muscle to clean up. Oops, full circle back to Manu again... Grin

MaddieMoo82 · 08/02/2016 12:43

Ah found you all... Was lost in mumsnet space for a bit then...

Enjoying all the oven inneudo. Hope yours gets sorted nickel and the fixer is a bit tasty. Have double oven jealousy. My single isn't cutting for me anymore but MrMads isn't keen on branching out to a double... not that he has ever been anywhere near this one

Thanks for asking about nursery nickel the second session wasn't as traumatic so hopefully he will continue to improve and not look totally terrified every time we go. He starts properly next week and I'm back to work the week after.

Pretty awful weather here. 80 mph winds overnight and this morning. Need to negotiate a walk with the dog and buggy but waiting till it hopefully settles a bit later.

Nickel45 · 08/02/2016 15:04

Am feeling distinctly inadequate in the innuendo department.

Oven man more like Harold than Albert (phew) but did fix the oven, so happy was going to write a happy bunny, but who knows where that might have led us!

cjwoofwoof · 08/02/2016 15:21

Glad you weren't left half-baked nick , just a shame he didn't get you simmering nicely. Grin

Ilovelblue · 08/02/2016 20:04

It seems to have been very quiet on here today.

Glad you got your oven fixed Nickel. Did it cost the earth or not too bad?

Torrential rain most of the day. What a surprise! Not very windy though till about an hour ago. Hope anyone being battered by Storm Imogen is coping ok.

Nickel45 · 08/02/2016 20:34

Really quiet!

I had insurance ilove, the only thing I took insurance on, so cost nothing! And was shown how to fix it myself next time if I can be bothered! Nice man, but was trying not to smirk thinking how to describe him on here. Poor man! and no horse! Did waste the whole day doing not very much though!

pixieg1rl · 08/02/2016 21:06

I think we just can't top an innuendo fuelled Lego man on a horse.

Finally sat down. Reliving my teenage years with the return of x files. We used to watch this snuggled in our duvets at boarding school.

Pretty blustery here today but nothing too bad. We'll what the night brings. I know you've been rained on incessantly ilove, but it's been so dry here this winter.

MaddieMoo82 · 08/02/2016 21:08

I think it would have been more awkward nickel if he had turned up looking last the first pic you posted - naked from the waist up leaning against your cooker Grin

Still bloody awful here. My dad is part of Newquay flying school and the winds are so strong it's tipped one of the planes over Shock

MaddieMoo82 · 08/02/2016 21:09

X-files here too Pix Grin

pixieg1rl · 08/02/2016 21:34

X files are as gloriously preposterous as they ever were. Loving it Grin

MaddieMoo82 · 08/02/2016 21:46

God I forgot how much I love mulder Grin

Ilovelblue · 08/02/2016 22:12

pixie we've had so much rain, I've almost lost count. I have a rain gauge in the garden and every week since Christmas we have had at least 2.5 inches of rain (that's the gauge full to the top). I keep a garden diary somewhat sporadically where I note down the rainfall but have just given up recently, it's too depressing. Sometimes the gauge has overflowed and I've just not realised in time - so therefore more than 2.5 inches.

I've just sold my old phone on eBay and have spent tonight deleting stuff etc but have left the front screen of a glorious picture of CJ on it just to baffle the buyer.
