Mixed bag of a day here; was told how we deliver the work I do is being reviewed (so redundancy is a possibility), then out with a friend to see Sarah Millican tonight. She was very funny, I've got a headache from laughing so much.

Feel for you pixie. We had redundancy looming over us last year and suspect it will come round again in April. How would you feel about it?

Ah pix so sorry about your news. Yes let's hope its just a review. Glad Sarah Millican made you laugh yesterday and help take your mind off things even for a bit.

Phew had a busy afternoon with looking after cats, seeing to kids, ironing etc and this morning dropped off a card and present for a friend's daughter's birthday today and then just seen to the cats again. Quickly having breakfast now!

Yes Nickel but the forecast has changed. Earlier in the week it seemed to be around 18 degrees and sunny but there seem to be a fair few showers on the horizon now. Still, I think we can cope with rain and at least it will be a bit warmer and I'm not in work. Decided I'm going to treat myself to a new swimming costume today as I've just remembered there's a spa at the hotel. The other one was in the Tesco sale about 7 years ago. (I don't wear them too often!)

Beautiful sunny day, I've put washing in the line!!!! Beds stripped and all the windows open. Shame I've got to go to work now! I wonder if DH or Kids will bring the washing in...

Quite sunny here today. Going to ASDA this afternoon when DH gets in from work in a minute. Wondering whether to feed the cats again when I go out or leave it until later. Doing it later will probably win.

Twins brought their class photographs in from school today. They look tiny compared to the others. Yikes!

Quick happy birthday to nickel, I don't have enough paper to wrap your present, just enough to preserve its modesty and give you something to peel back in anticipation

So much for the so called flattering design of the swimming costume. I looked like a sack of potatoes in blue lycra. After the hassle of getting undressed to try three different ones on, I gave up in disgust, got dressed again and headed out of the store, only to see one I'd not noticed before which I liked more. Grabbed it and paid for it on the understanding that if it doesn't fit, I am ok to change it. Was all hot and bothered by the end!

Yes, happy birthday Nickel. Are you doing anything to celebrate? (After you've unwrapped pixie's present that is).

Came back in from seeing to my Mams cats tonight to find DH in bed with an upset stomach or some such thing so I had to do dishes and other jobs before I could finally have a sit down!

I had a very depressing lunchtime last year ilove trying to find a swimming costume for Kenya. I ended settling for one that fitted well but I can't stand the colour.

Boozy lunch and an afternoon nap sounds like a perfect way to spend a birthday nickel.

Thanks Maddie and Kelly. Finished now. Been to my friend's across the road for tea and seen the damage caused by the nutter who was the cause of the domestic violence on Sunday night. Did I tell you his girlfriend has dropped all the charges now? Silly, silly girl. I had one glass of wine with the meal and promptly fell asleep when I came home again!

Just about to go and try on the fourth swimming costume. I'm not really a swimmer and can't lie in the sun (too pale skinned and also get very bored very quickly) so this is just to wear in the small spa in the hotel. If it fits, it will no doubt last me years! I have a spa day at a place in the Lakes booked for early May and also the return visit to the hotel in Cheshire where we complained and got a 50% discount on another visit in August.

Oh, saw this on Facebook earlier today and it made me smile.

Not at all CJ related, but I still thought it was funny.

Sorry to hear about your concerning news ,pic I know how it feels as we have just had another reshuffle announced, but that is the joy of working in local govt.

Well done ilove for even bothering with the trying on of swimsuits in a shop..I just resort to ordering on line and returning those that just weren't designed for my body is most of them!!!
Anyway have a good break! Loved the knickers poster!!
