Morning all.

Hope everyone got off to work okay that needed to go. I was hoping to get up early this morning in practice for tomorrow but no I ended up having a nightmare and slept in until 8.30! I'm in trouble for tomorrow then. Confused

Did anyone else watch War & Peace last night?

KellyHb · 04/01/2016 09:45

Not sure how to copy a link on here but on Daily Mail this morning it says: SW was deeply insecure about his relationship with Georgia and it led to a lot of rows. Apparently she was in floods of tears about it backstage at Strictly. Plus he wasn't happy with her dancing with Giovanni.

KellyHb · 04/01/2016 12:16

Just read Lucky Man starts Sky 1 on January 22nd!!! Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 04/01/2016 12:47

Not long kelly really hope BA is in more than 1 episode as I've kind of built this up a bit!!

Will try and watch war and peace today or tomorrow plus need to crack on with outlander so I can get to the naughty stuff. Didn't watch yesterday as had one of those afternoons/evenings that you don't want a repeat of for a loooong time so sulked in bed with my book which was actually lovely As haven't read much apart from all the fab FF for ages.

Hope everyone is feeling better and all the returns to work/school eyed went as well as they could Flowers

pixieg1rl · 04/01/2016 13:12

I'm most miffed that the place isn't crawling with Jamie Frasers Jen, I've been working on my response to the "do you have any Scots in you? Would you like some" lines, especially.

The answer is "actually yes I do, but I could fit another 8 inches if you're offering Grin

KellyHb · 04/01/2016 13:13

Yeah mads me too. I've built it up thinking he'll be dressed all in black running round London looking like Milk Tray man with James Nesbitt Smile

Hope today's a calmer day for you. How's DS this morning?

KellyHb · 04/01/2016 13:13

I spat my beans out there pix Grin

pixieg1rl · 04/01/2016 13:15

Sorry Kelly Smile

pixieg1rl · 04/01/2016 13:16

Actually, spat my beans is an excellent euphemism

MaddieMoo82 · 04/01/2016 13:22

Me too kelly Grin let's hope he's got a 'big' part Wink

Oh pix hoping you haven't been practising that out loud?? I too am slightly disappointed about the lack of Jamie's maybe we need to go further into the highlands to seek them out. I am more than willing to do this. And I like the sound of some sort of border drop off/man crèche for MrMads and MrP.

ah kelly thanks Flowers things are slightly more civilised than yesterday!

KellyHb · 04/01/2016 13:24

Bean juice everywhere is one of my fave euphemisms

icemistOBE · 04/01/2016 13:33

Don't think he is

It must've been hard for BA to take from going from being in the huge success of OG, to being in the Detour pilot in LA where he was essentially the lead man but then it not getting picked up and then having to take tiny parts in things since then

I suppose that's the ups and downs of being an actor.

MaddieMoo82 · 04/01/2016 14:07

Ah bugger!

pixieg1rl · 04/01/2016 14:14

That's why he needs Mumsnet to represent him. He'd never be out of work, and big part guaranteed.

Where's woof and orph, these innuendos don't just write themselves you know...

KellyHb · 04/01/2016 14:28

If we represented him, I'd have him in lockdown for however many series of OG there are so we get him and LT together for some decent QS scenes. a la Jamie & Claire type

MaddieMoo82 · 04/01/2016 18:50

Or just keep him locked down in your secret bunker just for you kelly Grin

KellyHb · 04/01/2016 19:02

It would be my absolute pleasure to have him locked in there mads. I would force him to give me a twirly finger daily. Smile

MaddieMoo82 · 04/01/2016 19:20

I don't doubt it GrinGrin

Onlygirljen · 04/01/2016 19:57

I may or may not have been idly googling Jamie Fraser images to pass my last afternoon off work Blush - didn't realise the actor playing him was in First Light with BA, he looks completely different! Everything always goes back to OG somehow doesn't it?!

pixieg1rl · 04/01/2016 20:01

Ooh, good spot Jen, now that's a BOGOF deal and a half.....

Onlygirljen · 04/01/2016 20:02

Btw, having just watched episode 10, can I please join maddie and pixie's recon of the Highlands?? If that's what they're teaching the menfolk up there, I'm more than happy to take a trip!! GrinGrinGrin

pixieg1rl · 04/01/2016 20:20

If that's what they're teaching them you might want to cordon the place off to keep out the English Jen Grin

KellyHb · 04/01/2016 20:38

Actually I remembered Sam from First Light but didn't register to say - my bad. He looked gorgeous in a Spitfire too.

I've got that horrible back to school feeling for tomorrow. I'm not at all feeling like doing the whole getting kids ready and out the door. It feels like the holidays have flown over.

Ilovelblue · 04/01/2016 21:15

Evening all.

Just back from checking up on my neighbour and pleased to say he looks much improved. I've taken him two different sorts of soup I've knocked together tonight and a big jug of honey and lemon which he can heat up when he wants.

He's told one of his daughters so it'll be interesting to see if she turns up. He did thank me again for last night. I told him I was on the verge of ringing for an ambulance.

Kelly the steroids are Deltacortril but underneath it says prednisolone which I think is what you said yesterday?

Work was bearable but it seemed a long day and sod's law says it was fine today when I could have been out in the garden unlike most of the rest of the holiday when it piddled it down relentlessly!

We've started our sale of unwanted Christmas presents today. It's amazing what comes in - anything from calendars, diaries and hankies, to smellies and there's even a bottle of whisky which appeared earlier. All the money starts off our hospice fundraising for 2016.
