Good work nickel!
Hope you're feeling better ice, thanks for story link. Combined with greenstuff it was a great end to a shocker of a week. Never ceases to amaze me quite how resiliant kids can be. Hoping I can stay awake for LM tonight.

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2016 20:14

OMG Nickel and ice. Do you think we need to plot to storm the BBC ice?

icemistOBE · 05/02/2016 20:53

I need some info I where and dates lol! Then I can casually meander my way there Grin

Well, hopefully it's true. Wonder if BA will be there as military or civilian? Hopefully still in low slung combats, whatever :) Wonder if all of two section will be back ... Do any of you military bods know, do they tend to post sections all together, or do they get split up for different missions? Although I guess there is always some sort of artistic license with TV shows. Mostly wondering which leg CJ will have been injured in, in the new series!!!!

Alwaysfrank · 05/02/2016 21:28

Ooh that all sounds quite feasible even if not "official". I might have to make a well-timed visit to see my mum in Manchester!

Hope everyone is feeling a bit better. I've been teetering on the brink of something all week but I've felt a bit better today so fingers crossed. Poor DD had to come home for a summer job interview and had to catch a coach before dawn this morning. She hardly slept last night due to a hacking cough and worrying about missing the coach. She's not well at all and coughed and spluttered her way through the interview Sad.

Just seen there's a thread this evening on the best screen kiss - I think we could all make a good suggestion for that one, too !

pixieg1rl · 05/02/2016 21:43

What are the filming dates again? Because if they're around in October the Data Protection conference in Manchester looks a little tempting

Nickel45 · 05/02/2016 21:50

Bet that's a first pix Wink Grin

Nickel45 · 05/02/2016 22:09

Just looked up our annual conference, and it's in Berlin. Well that's no help at all!!

Just catching up with death in paradise and Wendy Craig's in it, looking amazing given she's over 80 (according to IMDb!).

pixieg1rl · 05/02/2016 22:32

Actually the conference runs on a ballot system nickel, tickets are that popular. Smile

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2016 22:50

Been really busy tonight and check in on here to find we are almost at thread 32! Exciting news about the filming. ice you wouldn't go to the BBC on your own now, would you? Remember I'm only 20 odd miles up the road from you. Could be there in a trice...!

I've been in the kitchen most of the evening. I had a raft of Tesco meat bargains to sort out so did a venison casserole and then Mary Berry's chunky chicken pie plus freezing two lots of fish. The chicken pie is really messy - you have to do it in stages and there are pots and pans all over the place (I'm not a tidy cook in any case). Anyway, I have hopefully made up for the fact I've hardly moved from the fireside after tea for the last couple of weeks.

Nickel I loved Wendy Craig in Butterflies.

BK28 · 06/02/2016 00:12

Wow is it really a week ago that we were all preparing for our wonderful meet up last weekend!!! Not really sure where January went! Have had a really manic week but wanted to dip in before mrbk whisks us away for some skiing.
jen hope everything is becoming a little less stressed for you and you are feeling better... Don't rush back to work if you aren't properly better.
Hope everyone else with the lurgy are all feeling a bit brighter now!
rich loved the eyebrow incident , but at least he was home in bed!!
pix" when mrbk worked away a lot I used to put blue cross days in his diary so that we could do something together, even if it was only go for a walk minus children. Have to agree it can be hard work at times.
nickel not sure about phasels will let you know.
Anyway not sure about WiFi where we are going so will see you all on thread 32....have a good weekend!

BK28 · 06/02/2016 07:09

Morning all ...hope your day starts better than mine...5.30 at the airport to be told baggage allowance is for one bag only... Think arriving wearing pj's might be the solution for airport security... Now just reminding DH why it is that I said i will never fly again...or if I do it will be scheduled at a normal time of the day! Sorry for the rant, but thanks for reading xx

Ilovelblue · 06/02/2016 09:31

Morning all. Got a new car on test drive for the weekend. We'd thought of going up to the Lakes but it's p*ssing down yet again so there's no point. The idea was to have lunch overlooking Windermere but a waste of time if you can't see anything. We'll not go too far afield now.

Enjoy yourselves BK. I love flying but all the security and hanging around are so stressful these days, I agree. And early morning flights seem to compound the issues.

KellyHb · 06/02/2016 09:39

Morning all.

Oo very nice ilove. I used to love test driving cars. Bit sad but I used to love cars when I was younger. With having 3 kids, our car's going to get trashed in years to come. It's more or less halfway there now.

Your poor DD always. Its always the same, when you need to be well for something, its mostly the time that you're ill. Hope her interview went better than she thought.

Off to do food shopping this morning with the gang and then buying school shoes for DD this afternoon. Exciting day ahead-not!

Have a nice morning everyone!

Richtea19 · 06/02/2016 10:38

bk enjoy your skiing holiday and ilove how exciting driving a new car. Although I'm not really in to cars, as long as it has fuel in it and unlike the colour!!!

We are off to Bexhill today for cross country. DS qualified to run for Kent. Great achievement but a right pain as we need to be there for 11.00 and he doesn't run until 3pm! Then we need to rush back to get ready for a party tonight!

kelly good luck with school shoes, always a little stressful!

pixieg1rl · 06/02/2016 10:47

A day of no plans here, well except for laundry, grocery shopping and cooking dinner that is.

So far I've managed a shower go me!

Anywhere else nice you can go to ice?

pixieg1rl · 06/02/2016 11:28

I might have to challenge you in the excitement stakes Kelly, we've just got one of those heated clothes driers which I'm tragically quite excited to be trying out today.

MaddieMoo82 · 06/02/2016 11:35

First thing I see when I log on pix and I'm feel a tad jealous!

icemistOBE · 06/02/2016 11:36

Morning

Feeling better today, just cough, but I can deal with that. Just listening to my OG music whilst boys play. Love London Grammar

Although youngest has just shouted stop! When I was singing along Blush

Miserable wet day here. Been out to asda so feet up for a while before I tackle the ironing mountain.

MaddieMoo82 · 06/02/2016 12:02

It's not enough I feel I need to see an action shot...

moojangles · 06/02/2016 12:06

I officially have clothes airer/dryer envy.
Enthralling day chez mooj, up at the crack of sparrows as I couldn't sleep. Attempted a nap but the dog decided that was not to be. Rain and wind again here. A day of housework, schoolwork and general pootling about. On the plus side, MrM should be back in about 10 days.
Enjoy your testdrive ilove

pixieg1rl · 06/02/2016 12:21

That's good news mooj (the MrMooj being back, not the crap sleep and soggy dog walk).

I love that you're all Envy over my new clothes airer. What a tragic lot we are.

Nickel45 · 06/02/2016 12:53

So cool, pix, I want one!
Having a pretty crap day here, oven decided to break, DH being a complete bellend (put his muddy football boots all over a pile of clean shoes and clothes in the car, is now cleaning them, which means he can't help get dinner for the kids) nearly crashed the car (wasn't paying attention as the kids were screaming at each other) and now have horrible hungry kids while I try and get someone to fix the over (on hold for 10 mins after the first person couldn't help me cos I hadn't got the right reference number. Aaaaaaaaaaaagh! Feel better now I've ranted!!? Sorry Confused
