We are back home and MiL added no value while we away... Maybe I was expecting too much, but I thought she might of done the ironing pile, put on some more washing from over spelling basket, mopped the kitchen floor from muddy cat paw prints... But no!!!!!
Boys said they missed us but only because Nan was a nightmare and told Little DS he spent too much time on the Xbox! And Big DS loafing in bed to long. Ahhhhhh This is the price you pay for two nights away on a dirty weekend!

Nickel you are teasing us! I couldn't think for a split second why I should recognise BA in that middle picture, then I remembered. You were so lucky that night!

Richtea glad you enjoyed York. I love Bath and York in equal measures, couldn't really choose between them. York is easier to get to from here obviously.

Hope your last day goes quick pix. Ditto on the wrapping last night. I was doing mine past midnight. I hadn't realised how much I'd bought for the kids until I had them all out.

Oo MIL visit mads. Commiserations and hope it goes well.

Last day of work for me too, I've just had a massive Hoover and mopping floor which hasn't really touched on the mess that is everywhere and now I'm just hot and sweaty before work!

pixie well done doing the wrapping. I have only wrapped presents of people we are seeing before Christmas Day, the boys will have to wait until Christmas Eve. I am contemplating not wrapping present from father Christmas??? Cinema tonight, I feel a snooze coming on kelly!!!

Urgh queued for ages in post office to pick o a parcel and once I got served realised I forgot my ID. No parcel. doesn't bode well for mil visit!

richtea in our house Father Christmas wraps really badly, sellotape all over the place and very cheesy, cheap paper. It's almost as if he's a bit tipsy when he's wrapping...

Last present bought. Now to wrap them all. Kian wanted to buy a handbag with flowers as the design for his grandma...9 shops later we got it

Hi all, I braved the shops yesterday and today, feeling a bit more organised with presents, just need to sort everything else now!! Boys finished school / nursery today, and I'm finished work - felt like we'd never get here!!

Mil is doing Christmas dinner for us this year and asked me just to bring desert. Bought all sorts of deserts, ice cream, custard etc etc this morning to take obviously didn't make them myself as am the opposite of a domestic goddess and she has just texted telling me not to bother, she's bought it all herself. WTF?!?!

Now to wrap..is 3.20 too early to start drinking?!!!

DH's just come in from shopping with DD and everywhere was sold out of the very thing I wanted to get my parents. Grrrr! Trip to shops in the morning then for something else for them.

Got everything else in but need to do a food shop tomorrow.

Definitely not too early to start drinking jen Im thinking of cracking open a bottle of something while I iron now.

I nipped to Tesco at lunchtime to get petrol mainly but had forgotten to get oranges yesterday evening so braved it into the store. It was bedlam - you could just sense how the tension was rising.

I am going to see my friend tonight with the financial problems. It'll be interesting to see what the bank have advised.

Thinking of going home shortly. It's pretty quiet in work and everyone has that "end of term" feeling. Most of us won't be back until 4 January. Only a few kindly souls are working between Christmas and New Year.

Just done my food shop ... need to lie down in a dark room and recover. Oh my word! Luckily dumped the kids for an hour so I could do it alone. Busy is not the word!!. Apparently our local sainsburys is really quiet at 6 in the morning though ... Someone told me after I had done the shopping!!!!

I know I shouldn't be looking forward to it, but I'm in work the next two days .... and DH has to look after the kids. Peace and quiet .... Can't wait!!!!!

Food shop tomorrow morning and then I won't have to leave the house until 28th.

I cannot wait

I've ordered myself a new phone case and a stag one too. CJ one is for special occasions

I don't know how she does it. I've been trying to finish something for weeks and I've done about 3000 words.
