Desperate to crack open Outlander, but just can't get into anything until Xmas is over. Wrapping presents for my family tonight, realised I haven't bought half of nephew's birthday present.

Would he notice half is missing pix?
Have to brave the shops again tomorrow to hold MrMads hand whilst he buys for his side of family

He's going to be hyped up on sugar and Minecraft, he won't notice a thing

Had such a busy day today, haven't had time to post. Had a meal out tonight with a friend but feel so full now I've come to bed.

Did anyone watch Carrie Fisher in the GN show tonight? Can't wait to watch it on catch up. CF is such a funny lady. I didn't realise how funny she was until I was watching her do interviews for the new Star Wars film.

Enjoy York rich. Such a beautiful place and I can't rave enough about Betty's Tea Rooms.

Yes kids are off now for 2 weeks. Hopefully they won't be too much of a handful with them all in the house next week as I've got an absolute ton of wrapping to do.

Carrie Fisher is a scream on GN. On the other hand Kylie looks like aaaahhhhhh!

Kelly is right Richtea about Betty's. Can also recommend the Treasurer's House cafe for their scones.

David Beckham has just come on with GN. I like him but when he opens his mouth and he sounds like a squeaky schoolboy, I begin to doubt my good taste.

Just had a moment everybody and I would really like someone to come along with a camera to take photos of me sitting on my bed looking all sad and faraway and melancholy.

Opened my front door to a courier with Christmas pressie from a good mate (here, mate=Kiwi for "friend",not the usual). She knows about my OG "thing",not many do, they'd think me "hoha" or "porangi"(Maori words for varying degrees of crazy).

But this one understands...here was a special delivery of 50 capsules of Rosabaya de Colombie, to give its full title which I have just found out, from the Nespresso store in Auckland. Bought myself a machine last month.
Personally, I've always thought Molly was a bit stingy, only bringing back 1 sleeve of ten capsules, would only have lasted 10 mornings.

Nipping out to couple of shops this morning but DH wants to come! He doesn't like shopping but says he wants to get a couple of presents for his side of the family. Hope fully it won't be too painful then.

Must come back and tidy the house-its a complete tip and must start wrapping!!

Our weekend has begun. Sitting at St Pancras drinking a glass of champagne, it's snowing (Disney experience indoors!) and DH is sending emails and texts for work!!! He promises me I will have his full attention later... Mind you I'm just as bad!

That sounds familiar Richtea, well the e mails bit does, champagne in the morning sadly not

You lucky, lucky goats kuia and Rich - the highlights of my day thus far have been a long overdue Christmas deep latrine clean and a vast credit card bill in the post. No Rosabaya or champagne here - just a bottle of bleach and a can of Coke must remember which one to drink and which one to sprinkle round the rim or a trip to Casualty could be in order

Tree light rage!!! Spent an hour twatting about trying to get old ones to work. Bought new ones, less teinkle, more knicked airstrip landing lifghts...no plug in one box. Another trip to get plug, try again...one not working!!!! And breathe.....

Sitting in my neighbour's house kitten watching for a bit as I felt sorry for it all on its own. Tipping it down as well and I whizzed across without a coat!

Richtea hope it is less wet for you than on the west coast. I never thought to ask before but when you come up to Manchester, are you driving or on the train?

Think I'll go back home now and start cooking the tea and get ready for SCD.

Evening ladies. Interested to read of all the Christmas preparations and sorry to hear about the illness and mishaps. The snuffles have been in evidence at Rhubarb's patch as well but I'm trying to keep the poorly people at bay. I've been very busy with preparations and work and don't think I'll be able to relax until Christmas Eve when I've hopefully met the last deadline at work. I really could do without it on top of everything else.

Anyway, gearing up for SCD tonight and I will brave the disapproval of DD and allow myself some festive cheer at the same time. Looking forward to chatting later - I think it's going to be a good one.
