Fwank is a brilliant new addition to our vocabulary, well done woof.

Hope everyone's little people get better before Christmas, in sure it's an end of term over tired thing. Christmas nativity and all the other excitement for them! Much easier when they are older, although I don't get a huge amount of help!

I've been icing cakes this afternoon, I've done a reminder one, as my token nod to CJ Stag!!!

That was meant to say reindeer !

cjwoofwoof · 17/12/2015 15:56

Ooh bravo on the cake icing front Rich absolutely splendid - that's well worth several fwanks as well as a Xmas Wink I believe.

Must admit the only thing I'm good for on the cake making/icing front is gobbling them all up - I'm obviously a natural and very talented at that, Xmas Grin

pixieg1rl · 17/12/2015 15:57

Oh my goodness rich, they're gorgeous. I'm having a massive anxiety spike over Xmas. I have definitely probably over estimated what I can get done.

...and after school club have just phoned because DS isn't feeling well

Ilovelblue · 17/12/2015 16:40

Richtea those cakes are amazing. How clever are you?

I've had a rubbish day at work, not helped by the fact I feel incredibly tired. The last thing I need tonight is to go and visit my elderly friend when all I want to do is curl up and go to bed preferably with CJ. I often have to bite my tongue with her as she can be downright rude. I think some of it is frustration at her situation with her sick husband but one day I will probably lose my cool entirely. Doesn't help that I am busy fighting off a cold. It's not actually materialised as yet but have a "scratchy" throat and feel blocked up.

Richtea (again) - having a mental block here. ice and I are meeting you on the Sunday, aren't we?

KellyHb · 17/12/2015 16:54

Ah wow rich just wonderful icing. You're so talented! Star

Hope DS isnt too poorly when you get him pix.

House is an absolute tip as got nothing done today as running around after all 3 kids. Suppose I'd better get used to it during the day with the holidays coming up. Hmm

On a lighter note, just found out one of our couple friends down south has just got an Audi company car. I might see if I can wangle a drive of it when we're down there over Xmas. Grin

Richtea19 · 17/12/2015 17:02

Not talented at all! Ready roll fondant icing and some dodgy looking robins!! They look good from a distance! Eventually I wrote my Christmas cards to find out I've missed the USA and Australia posting date, Oops! An email card instead!

Richtea19 · 17/12/2015 17:03

Ilove. Yes the Sunday morning if still ok with you.

MaddieMoo82 · 17/12/2015 17:07

Afternoon. Ditto to the fast reducing Xmas cheer. jen hope you managed to sneak a little bottle of something into your desk drawer to get you through the afternoon.

pix and kelly hope your little people are better. I can sympathise with the projectile vom. Decided to venture into town with DS who still not great to try and get some more Xmas bits. Bit of a nightmare.... Missed 2 buses as they were to full to get buggy on and then third time lucky DS had a coughing fit and projectile vomited everywhere. Got off bus, crossed road and got the next one home. Sad been to doctors and they have given me an inhaler for him as he's very wheezy. Apparently there is loads and loads of it around as its been too mild and the bugs haven't been killed off by the normal drop in temp.

rich those cakes look fabulous Xmas Smile
ilove hope your visit isn't too bad tonight.

DP is out on his work Xmas do round 2. He missed the posh one last week but is going to tonight's legendary 'dirty' one. Basically donning Xmas jumpers and heading straight from work on a bender. Xmas Hmm
I shall be wrapping the small number of Xmas presents I have got and trying to online shop for the rest so I can avoid buses again.

MaddieMoo82 · 17/12/2015 17:08

Oh yes to the Audi trip kelly now you just need CJ to visit again!

Onlygirljen · 17/12/2015 18:22

Thanks for the sympathies ladies, no early bunk off unfortunately but still have our office party tomorrow night so I'm not missing that!! Hope all the poorly kids improve, my two are both knackered but hoping they hold out till nursery and school break up next Tuesday.

KellyHb · 17/12/2015 19:53

Ah no mads with littlie being sick on the bus. (Hugs). It sounded like a stressful shopping trip. How's he now?

How's your DS pix?

DD still having coughs but hasnt been sick for a few hours. Hopefully she'll sleep tonight.

DH came in from work in a bad mood saying he feels ill so he wants an early night. Not happy though as I'm ironing, then wrapping teachers presents, then a mountain of dishes so I'll make sure he does the dishes before bed!! I don't feel Christmassy at all yet.

pixieg1rl · 17/12/2015 20:00

He's had a cuddle, kept down a boiled egg and off to bed with the maximum dose of calpol. Fingers crossed for the morning, especially as he forgot to give out Xmas cards he's written. I haven't got anything for the teachers, it's just slipped my mind. Oh well, too late now.

pixieg1rl · 17/12/2015 20:08

Rich, in your role as thread cake guru, if I'm planning to ice Xmas cake on Christmas Eve (hollow laughter), is it too late to give it a last feed?

Richtea19 · 17/12/2015 20:19

Never too late to feed with brandy Pixie!!!

MaddieMoo82 · 17/12/2015 21:04

Ah hope all the little people sleep well. kelly he's fast asleep sounding like a train but hopefully will stay asleep a bit.

Not sure I'm emotionally stable enough to watch diy sos.... Got a roll of kitchen roll ready.....

Richtea19 · 17/12/2015 21:19

maddie, kelly and pixie hope all the little ones are ok. Poor little ones, i do really feel for you maddie as our DS was very chesty and wheezy when he was little. It's so frighting for you. Hugs to you all Thanks

Don't do DIY SOS far to emotional, try Bond Themes on the other side, I'm watching it with my dad, with sub-titles as he's so deaf!!

KellyHb · 17/12/2015 21:27

DDs gone to bed with a bucket just in case of any emergencies mads.

Yes hope all the littlies sleep well.

I'm half watching The Big Bang Theory while wrapping teachers stuff. DH is watching it before he does the dishes. Result. Smile

KellyHb · 17/12/2015 21:32

Thanks rich. I bet you're used to inhalers too then with your DS.

There's a programme on at ten at channel 4 tonight called Very British Problems all about celebrities joking about Christmas. Might be worth a watch.

BK28 · 17/12/2015 21:38

Have just being reading the past three days threads and felt that I needed to offer BIG HUGS to all you Mums out there surrounded with sick little people and DP/DH who haven't still mastered what is required of them at this time of year or actually any time of year!! Wine Chocolate Xmas Biscuit

BK Hall is probably going to have the Xmas tree put on top of the pile of boxes surrounded by the ironing board and laundry. or maybe not at all!!
Busy planning the menues for the 30 Scouts (15-25 year olds ) that we are taking to the hills between Boxing Day and New Year, do this every year so genuinely now don't get stressed about Xmas, work on the principle that it is not life threatening if all the fancy bits don't get done - have to agree with woof it does get easier as they get older!!

rich tots jealous of your cake decorating - I've resorted to M&S who do a grand job! Star

I think fwank is just what is required at this time of year -brilliant! Xmas Wink

MaddieMoo82 · 17/12/2015 21:58

Thanks rich he has given us a real scare over the last few days but still managed to flirt with the GP today Smile

Yeah diy sos was a bad idea definately should have turned over.... But lovely all the same.

MaddieMoo82 · 17/12/2015 22:11

Ooh according to Twitter BA is watching sleeping beauty tonight.
Bit of a Prince Charming himself by the sounds of it.

Nickel45 · 17/12/2015 22:16

Hope all the littlies have a better night so you lot can have a better night too. Sending hugs and getting better wishes and large doses of calpol, who thought getting rid of medised was a good idea?!

Just had the biggest fright when a massive spider ran across the floor, spent half hour searching for it, with DH standing behind the Hoover! Found it, he waved the Hoover at it, no idea if he got it or not ... planning on snuggling into DS's child size bed to sleep, in case its still around!!! Do you think CJ would be good at dealing with spiders?

Good on you BK taking your scouts away, where are you off to? Sounds brilliant Xmas Smile

Ilovelblue · 17/12/2015 22:18

I'm back, tea cooking nicely for tomorrow and sitting down, needing some light relief. My elderly friend was a bit of a pain, whingeing as soon as I got there about things such as the GP, the pharmacy and even her telephone needing new batteries but when I started to tell her some of my news, all she did was interrupt. I wanted to scream. She liked the cake though thankfully.

Got home to find my neighbour clamouring for my attention (when all I wanted to do was sit by the fire and watch something mindless on telly). Remember the drama about her kitten possibly being pregnant (at four months) and the rescue place it came from lying about its age? One drama on top of another: the vet thought it had colitis but after £110 of tests via the lab, it seems to be some sort of parasite, transmittable to humans so need to be so careful washing my hands etc after administering its tablets and looking after the litter tray. Lovely as CJ would say! Oh and guess who's looking after it when she buggers off to London overnight tomorrow? Not happy in the slightest. In her position, I would have cancelled the trip especially as it turns out the bloody thing is now in season (any female cats I've had have been "done" and I've never witnessed their behaviour at this point). What a sodding responsibility. I am pretty p*ssed off to be truthful.

I don't mean to rant but I had to get it off my chest.

BK28 · 17/12/2015 22:20

nickel he is an absolute star when it comes to spiders!!
and we are off to the Cairngorms and praying for some nice fresh snow or all those ice axes and crampons we have will be for nothing!!! Oh my role is as base manager otherwise known as chief cook and bottle washer!! Xmas Grin
