That's where the Amaze Bites fill the gap, Pix

Nickel45 · 26/11/2015 14:32

I was scared off by the posh birds woof who have perfected their pointy elbow jabbing and made a hasty retreat, forgot to look for the elbowing wolf jacket ... next time I'll follow you!!!

cjwoofwoof · 26/11/2015 15:01

I'll probably be heading to the cake aisle Nick or the Wine Section rooting out Prosecco/Special Brew depending on my mood. Just follow the dog on a string...

MaddieMoo82 · 26/11/2015 15:06

Ooh haven't tried Pom bears or amaze bits. Clearly I haven't lived and need to get to a supermarket ASAP!
No Xmas shopping done here but hoping to get some bargains online tomorrow during Black Friday although tried last year and it was rubbish as all the websites crashed.

pixieg1rl · 26/11/2015 16:06

Ooh, blimey rhu, another corker of a chapter there, and what a place to leave us at! Shock

Ahh woof you've made me laugh and cheered me up. The boys were being very testy as I was trying to pick DD up from school. Angry

I've eaten too much crap today, I had a McDonald's for lunch followed by half a box of Lindt chocs and am having a carvery with a friend for tea. Ah well, there's always next year for the gym. Confused

cjwoofwoof · 26/11/2015 17:27

Get thee to a cake aisle kel and mads and see if you can fight me off for the Amaze Bite samples rest assured you'll never get past my vast arse or barging elbow action

KellyHb · 26/11/2015 17:41

Its alright woof I've got a plan. I'll go to the shops for some when I have CJ with me and I'll use him as a diversion so when you see him, you'll be too indisposed to think of any such Amaze bites Smile

Right I'm off out now for some meat and 2 veg pity it wasn't CJ's

orphan · 26/11/2015 17:42

woof you haven't mentioned how you use your tartan shopping trolley (with go faster stripes) as an offensive weapon. The speed and accuracy with which you can take down an opponent is mind boggling.

orphan · 26/11/2015 17:45

Ahhh kelly lucky me. Guess what's on the menu tonight? Meat and two veg, smashed pasty and a rather luscious overflowing cream horn. Might have to follow up with an alka seltzer.

pixieg1rl · 26/11/2015 19:02

Sounds like a fab evening orph

Worst bedtime ever with massively overtired baby. That plus DPs plague means that CJs visit cannot come soon enough. Although am slightly worried about my fitness levels after hearing about orphs week Wink
Enjoy your meat and two veg kelly
Such a good FF chapter rhu can't wait to see what happens!

icemistOBE · 26/11/2015 20:31

Evening

Dentist wasn't too bad. Thinks the filling I got in April is too close to a nerve and I have possible infection starting so on anti-b for a week. Luckily it's NHS dentist

Ooh I can do Manchester better than Trafford Cebtre. We could have a mini- meet Smile

pixieg1rl · 26/11/2015 21:13

Yay, Uhtred and his shag rugs are back!

Evening all. Not been able to look at this at work today as there have been too many people around. Plenty to catch up on as usual.

ice glad the dentist worked out ok. You should be grateful it's an NHS dentist!

I'll PM you and Richtea to see if we can work something out. Manchester city centre would be much better for me than the Trafford Centre. It would be lovely to meet up.

Been busy this evening. Some friends of mine who live in the Lakes are down to visit their daughter so I took their Christmas present round. I know it's early but I wasn't sure when I would catch them again before Christmas! They're difficult to buy for (they are the ones whose apartment I've used in Edinburgh, though that's only one of three houses they own). I've collected bits and pieces from foreign supermarkets this year and put it all in a basket for them. Have to say, it looked pretty good. Came home and went to see my neighbour who has just got a new kitten (she is the one whose dead cat I found on the driveway next door to me). Now covered in white cat hairs!

KellyHb · 26/11/2015 22:47

Oo very jealous of your evening orph. I am full to bursting with scrummy food. Normally me and my friend have a dessert but there was no way I could fit that in too! I fell asleep on the settee as soon as I got in.

May watch an episode of OG before bed as feel wide awake now.

Glad you got sorted at dentists ice. Yes lucky with it being NHS.

Ilovelblue · 26/11/2015 23:07

I forgot to say, but I had a really strange dream last night. Reckon it came about because of our Secret Santa present draw at work but I was dreaming that Molly's Nan was lecturing me and saying I had to buy three Secret Santas and I kept answering back to say I couldn't afford them! Mental or what?

MaddieMoo82 · 26/11/2015 23:12

Ooh treat yourself to episode 2 kelly jackpot! Smile

kuiakaituhi · 27/11/2015 01:36

Seems I started off a firestorm with my innocent inquiry about Pom Bears. There's a specialty Pommie grocery shop in town for all the whingeing Poms who export themselves here and then complain bitterly that they can't get Pom food. Think I'm gonna need to see if they've got any Pom Bears so I can try them out.

Do you have Tim Tams? They are the most amazing calorific choccie bars/biscuits which send Yankie visitors into raptures. All sorts of flavours, some boozy. Might gonna need to do a swap with one of you mumsnetters?? Your Pom Bears for my Tim Tams??

Summer here. Light breeze, warm, lovely. Keep warm and dry over there in Merry Olde England!!

pixieg1rl · 27/11/2015 07:28

Are Tim Tams the ones where you bite the top and bottom off and then drink your tea through, kuia?

OP posts:
Nickel45 · 27/11/2015 08:08

Sounds like something I'd like to swap Pom Bears for kuia, chocolate and booze. What's not to like! We don't have them over here,I don't think, but I'm now going to ask my NZ friend at school if to she has any! Sounds like a good breakfast staple!

Ilovelblue · 27/11/2015 08:34

Mini MN meet up now arranged for me, ice and Richtea!

cjwoofwoof · 27/11/2015 08:57

Never heard of Tim Tams kuia but they sound a whole lot better than potato bears, more on a par with the lushness of Amaze Bites.

Just off to fight the crowds for Black Friday bargains. Sure it's going to be a waste of time but will torture myself with What Ifs if I don't give it a go. Got Rosa Klebb style daggered boots and a face to match to get stuck in with so here goes...

pixieg1rl · 27/11/2015 09:04

Off for a smear test. Possibly even less fun than Black Friday shopping, but as much below the waist action as I'm likely see for a while.

I'm off to have a mini sulk about not making it to any meet-ups Sad

Hate those pixie especially when some of the nurses don't seem to know what they're doing. Trust me though, mammograms are worse.
