Jen I think we were all secretly in love with RL Chris. Which of your ff did he appear in again? I remember the Valentine's Day one shot but there was the one where RLC managed to get MD home in time for CJ's father's funeral.

MaddieMoo82 · 24/11/2015 21:57

Oooooh I know I know I've read it so many times it was how could i forget.
Is it possible to get CJ and Chris together as some sort of package? Is that greedy... Is it nearly Xmas?!

MaddieMoo82 · 24/11/2015 21:59

Actually no, I'll just stick with CJ Smile

Nickel45 · 24/11/2015 22:03

I'm feeling very meh about Christmas. I've got no presents, and DH has just invited his brother for Christmas Day, so I now have to actually do something (rather than wait for my mum to invite us over).

pix you should tell MrP he's lucky you only ordered 2 bars Chocolate, I went shopping the other day and they were selling 3 Wispa bars packets as buy one get one free ... so I did ... twice! :)

Ilovelblue · 24/11/2015 22:41

Whilst we're talking about Christmas presents, please give me an idea what I can buy for £5 for a geeky 22 year old (into computer war games, haven't a clue and probably can't get one for a fiver anyway) or a food snob man who would most definitely turn his nose up at a bottle of wine costing £5. We're doing a Secret Santa tomorrow and I can think of something for just about anyone I might get drawn apart from the geek and the food snob.

orphan · 24/11/2015 23:39

Am in complete denial over Christmas. Every time I allow my mind to flicker over the thought of it I get a wave of panic. Not one present bought yet...

Today CJ refused to hide in the stationery cupboard (there had been an unfortunate near miss accident with the electric pencil sharpener) but hunkered down in the PE storeroom instead. The crash mats came in handy during break of course and we practised ball control and handling during lunch, once I'd given his equipment a thorough once over.

I've said it numerous times before, but I'm so so grateful that OG unleashed the creative urge and talent in all you fantastic ff writers. jen, 'meh' is not a term that could ever be applied to your writing. I loved your last chapter!

rhubarb you're in for a treat with Mr ICanCertainlyFillOutASmockNicely. And you've reminded me to put the dvd on my Christmas wish list.

Ilovelblue · 25/11/2015 07:41

Agree with you orphan about our ff writers. When I'm feeling fed up, I will usually retreat to the fantasy CJ world and reread the amazing stories.

MaddieMoo82 · 25/11/2015 07:57

Morning all. Good luck with the secret Santa ilove unfortunately I'm not much help with gifts as our department ones were always rude.... Suggestive dot to dot books, posing pouches etc not much help to you!!

KellyHb · 25/11/2015 09:35

Morning everyone.

Dropped kids off at school and was given tons of info about Xmas parties, plays and other things the school's got on in December. I may as well live there next montn, the amount of things I've got to go to. Confused

Just watched Strictly It Takes Two from Monday when Jamelia and Tristan were being interviewed. Love Jamelia for saying Peter Andre's standing ovation was re-played. Tristan looked a bit awkward but reading between the lines, it seemed like a fix to me.

Sorry ilove. I really can't think of anything for your Secret Santa for £5. I don't know if you can get gift cards for a wine shop but I would've said maybe one for there and hopefully the wine but will understand it was only a fiver to spend.

The gamer is a hard one. Is there a joke/gadget shop near you? If he's geeky, he might like a random cheap puzzle for £5. A game would most definately cost a lot more. Ive bought DH one for Xmas and it was silly money. Hope that was some help.

KellyHb · 25/11/2015 09:36

I meant wine guy...Smile

pixieg1rl · 25/11/2015 09:47

If you draw food snob guy how about a fancy chutney/pickle/mustard ilove?

Morning,

If you are in the FB fan fiction group go and check out our new member - the one and only Greenstuff!!!! GrinGrin

When does CJ visit me? Is it this Friday? Need to do some pelvic floor exercises in preparation Wink

L had his hearing test yesterday thankfully no problems there, has to go back in 12 weeks for follow up. Now to wait for his speech therapy appointment.

BK28 · 25/11/2015 11:56

ice I had CJ down for delivery on Saturday, so gives you 24 hours more on the pelvic floor!! That is if we can extract him out of orphs PE cupboard!! Grin

icemistOBE · 25/11/2015 12:01

Perfect bk! I'll be ready

BK28 · 25/11/2015 13:08

pix don't know how you cope with MrP scanning the onlineshop if MrBK did that I think divorce would follow-- that is why I hold the title of Logistics and finance director of our family firm!! Smile

pixieg1rl · 25/11/2015 13:38

I'm not trusted to order his wine BK. He seemed very surprised the shop came to so much, mainly because I meal planned and ordered food accordingly. Last time he did an order on his own it consisted of 6 bottles of wine, a packet of dishwasher salt and a multipack of pom bears. I had to go to the shops the next day to buy food for the week. Big arguments all round. He knows when to keep quiet these days.

Ooh you found the pen and ink portrait I had done of me and MrBk pix !!

icemistOBE · 25/11/2015 14:44

I gave mine a short list on Saturday to go to supermarket. Got a text later emm I Seem to have spent £110 I was in shock I thought at most £30! He's a nightmare!!!

BK28 · 25/11/2015 14:58

Shopping is a no no for mine!! I allow him to do the collect part of click and collect - doesn't involve any decision making!!
don't encourage him accompanying me either - things that we really don't need appear in the trolley, plus I can't put in things that certainly aren't classed as household items ie clothes, dvds etc

Ilovelblue · 25/11/2015 16:40

Thanks for your Secret Santa suggestions but as luck would have it, I picked out somebody who will be easy to buy for. Female, 50, likes toiletries.

Fab news to have Greenstuff on our OG FB site!

Dentist this morning - £150 worse off now. My dentist has been private for years and even though I get private dental insurance through work, it doesn't cover everything. Just what you need so close to Christmas. Not forgetting £27 at the vet last night for the cat's vaccinations.

Friend coming for tea tonight so not much chance of being on here till much later. Hope she's managed to sort out her finances though I am a little doubtful.

Have a good evening everyone!

Ilovelblue · 25/11/2015 16:43

ice CJ will be with you on Saturday. I wonder what car BK has lined up for him this time?

Richtea19 · 25/11/2015 17:35

Blimey llove £150 for the dentist! Bit of blow before Christmas.

DH is rubbish at shopping too. He takes SO long, and generally gets delicious treats.. Lovely but not dinners! When it comes to Christmas shopping he normally goes to sainsburys on Christmas Eve, we have box sets of toiletries that no one else wants! This year we have our trip to York planned so I intend to get my pressys that weekend.

I watched London Spy last night, it's getting good. Also woof did you watch Blindspot? I watched it today (whilst battling the ironing mountain) Strike Back Sullivan didn't disappoint!

orphan · 25/11/2015 17:55

CJ lurked round the back of the bike shed today and helped me realise one of my teen ambitions: to be a 'Bad Girl' (I was always Miss GoodyTwoShoes). I've still got the imprint of handlebars on my backside (he was most creative) and I think we're both a little saddle sore. I must say he's certainly perking up my breaktimes - I can hardly wait for the bell to go!

I must get back into the habit of food shopping online again as it def keeps the bills down. We've fallen into a routine of getting our free coffee at Waitrose then I actually do the shop whilst dp reads the papers in the cafe. We always spend far more than I planned and the worst of it is that we end up doing that several times a week! Much to my dd's embarrassment I'm now recognised by and wave to the security guard who patrols the alcohol section...

orphan · 25/11/2015 17:59

Jealous of your trip to York richtea. It will be so pretty and Christmassy I imagine. Are you staying somewhere nice?

Onlygirljen · 25/11/2015 18:03

Funny you should mention a blow before Christmas rich, I'm hoping CJ is looking for the same when he comes on his Christmas visit.. Grin
