A new thread as we head towards the worst part of every soap year - Christmas.

Dreading the return of Simon.

Dreading more of the arr Gareh & Alya "plot".

When did the brewery close and become a convenient empty garage?

Make yourself at home and get ready for more totally hopeless acting - it has to improve soon, surely?

She feels she "prostituted herself" and has taken to heart the "worthless person" stigma attached thereto. I agree with Angua, it was rape by coertion in her case, she was in no way a "happy hooker" or doing it by choice.

MissBattleaxe · 25/01/2016 22:21

She was blackmailed into sleeping with him. I can't believe Kevin is so ready to believe his brand new mate over Anna.

eddiemairswife · 25/01/2016 22:25

I can't stand Sophie. She bullied Rita into telling her about Jennie. It's none of her business. Also, I wasn't pleased to see Gary back from his Health and Safety course. It might have more appropriate for him to attend a course about Anger Management.

CoffeeCoffeeAndLotsOfIt · 25/01/2016 22:31

I've watched Corrie all my life, but stopped in October. It's just getting tedious.

Will start again once new writer established. It'll take her a while to "correct" all the crappy storylines of late!

MissBattleaxe · 25/01/2016 22:37

Agree coffee. It's very dull. I cannot bear more of Phelan tormenting Windasses. It was tedious the last time and now they're punishing us with more. The only way this can work is if Phelan gets a big come uppance, and I mean quickly, not after months and months of it again.

ajandjjmum · 26/01/2016 07:54

Why isn't Anna honest with Kevin? As they are now in a serious relationship (after two minutes!!!) just tell him the truth.

Twinklestar2 · 26/01/2016 08:38

Not read back but did anyone else notice that Sally told Tim to help her read through all the counciller bumpf? I thought he couldn't read?!

Rachel0Greep · 26/01/2016 09:05

Sophie is a pain. Okay, she is invaluable to the garage, I'm not sure how they got anything done, before she arrived with her coat, and her clipboard Wink.
But, what twenty one year old would be constantly hanging around, if not with Kev or Sally, then with Rita and co. Would she not have made some friends over the years, that she would sometimes be going out with, shock, horror, away from the street. Hmm

NuggetofPurestGreen · 26/01/2016 09:55

Didn't he learn Twinkle? Vague recollection of Anna teaching him and Sally thinking he was cheating??

Twinklestar2 · 26/01/2016 10:22

Nugget - he did but I thought it was odd to go from not reading at all to bring able to read and understand stuff from the council. Perhaps it's just me Grin

NuggetofPurestGreen · 26/01/2016 10:23

Oh you're right Twinkle another forgotten storyline there Grin

WotNoLoobrush · 26/01/2016 10:48

I think the SWs have also forgotten that Sophie is supposed to be a Christian. Not very Christian of her to advise Rita to ignore someone who has had severe MH problems is it?

MissBattleaxe · 26/01/2016 11:26

YY- it's annoying that they're stringing out the boring misunderstanding. Kev believing every word Phelan says and not picking up on Anna's clear distress. I think they've flogged that Phelan/Anna stuff to death already. I can hardly bear to watch any more of the tedium.

We need a Phelan come uppance because we never got one first time round.

MissBattleaxe · 26/01/2016 11:28

She's a Christian, not a saint. Jenny nearly killed her baby brother. Sophie's probably scared and angry.

WotNoLoobrush · 26/01/2016 12:15

I understand what you're saying Miss.

What Jenny did and what the family went through was terrible. However, the way Corrie have seemingly dismissed the MH issue side of things doesn't sit well with me.

That's my opinion anyway Smile

MissBattleaxe · 26/01/2016 12:30

Well I agree, poor Jenny had been traumatized by the death of her son, but that's just how Corrie is portraying it I suppose.

Time for a new thread. Maybe by the end of the next one things will be looking up?
