percy was a grumpy old man abit like norris and phyllis was fun old lady who was always chasing percy for a date but he wasnt haveing none of it, i think percy lived with emily

Thanks. I did watch it in the 80s when I was little but don't remember. Think I remember storylines from mid-90s onwards.

All I remember is Phyllis with her 80-fags-a-day voice and Percy saying "I made gravy under shellfire". Best catchphrase ever.

Recently watched a hilarious clip (from the days when Corrie was great), of Phyllis arriving at Emily's house with a present for Percy, on Christmas Day. Emily invites her to join them, and when Percy arrives back into the room, holding forth about the pudding, he is most disconcerted to find Phyllis at the table. Brilliant stuff

Help me out... how come Tracy and Robert-the-hair are back being lovey-dovey? I must have fallen asleep or missed a bit on Friday!
