Corrie thread - we haven't even got a dog storyline to keep us going now

A new thread as we head towards the worst part of every soap year - Christmas.

Dreading the return of Simon.

Dreading more of the arr Gareh & Alya "plot".

When did the brewery close and become a convenient empty garage?

Make yourself at home and get ready for more totally hopeless acting - it has to improve soon, surely?

Ugh, that Fiz storyline just gets worse and worse.

MissBattleaxe · 16/01/2016 12:02

It must be great living in Weatherfield. You can earn a minimumm wage, pay for full time childcare, and still have enough left for dining out, daily lunchtime pint, AND pay off a ten grand debt.

AnguaResurgam · 16/01/2016 12:15

"Has Michelle got 2 sons?"

Yes, Alex and Ryan.

Hospital mistake meaning switched at birth. So there's the one she actually brought up, and the one who is biologically hers (who of course turned up).

and since then he's never been referred to or spoken of again.

Rachel0Greep · 16/01/2016 12:37

Not sure if I read it on here, or elsewhere, but, Paula Lane (Kylie) is pregnant so hopefully they can use her next maternity leave to end that ridiculous 'Callum in the manhole' story, for good.

absolutelynotfabulous · 16/01/2016 12:41

So Alex is Michelle's "real" son, not Ryan. Hmm.

eddiemairswife · 16/01/2016 12:50

What happened to Ryan? I seem to remember he dropped out of university and took up drugs, but I can't recall his leaving.

mollie123 · 16/01/2016 13:17

did ryan not leave with Rosie the missing webster?

SymphonyofShadows · 16/01/2016 15:38

Perhaps they need Anna to move so that Tracey and Lego man can have the flat?

eddiemairswife · 16/01/2016 15:57

I've just read that Gail wants underfloor heating installed in her annexe. Oh dear!!

CrystalMcPistol · 16/01/2016 16:01

I'd rather have a threesome with Roy and Norris than shag Kevin. He turns my stomach.

Rachel0Greep · 16/01/2016 16:16

I know I have said it before, but I hardly notice what Robert says or does, I just stare at his hair, with a kind of awful fascination. I wonder does his hair want to invest in a percentage of the Bistro too. Grin

In the real world, he (and his hair) would have been sacked, surely, for the way he was speaking to Nick.

lizzydrippingsghost · 16/01/2016 16:18

i think ryan went off to spain to be a dj
my stomache turned last night with the kissing scene with anna and kevin yuk
i was thinking about the days when percy was in it with that woman with the husky voice after him aar they were the days

CrystalMcPistol · 16/01/2016 16:22

Phyllis!

CrystalMcPistol · 16/01/2016 16:23

Phyllis' pastel purple hair would be very on trend these days! Grin

lizzydrippingsghost · 16/01/2016 16:31

yes phyllis she was a character Grin

Clockstooticky · 16/01/2016 16:43

Have the new writers started yet? Or did I dream that (I'm such a saddo)

oneowlgirl · 16/01/2016 17:17

Who were Phyllis & Percy?

I don't hear what Robert says either - how weird! I put it down to his face - it strangely fascinates me, but maybe it's actually his hair!

lizzydrippingsghost · 16/01/2016 18:08

percy was a grumpy old man abit like norris and phyllis was fun old lady who was always chasing percy for a date but he wasnt haveing none of it, i think percy lived with emily
percy left in the 80s , he said the street was going downhill with sex and drug scenes or violence( im not sure twas a long time ago)

oneowlgirl · 16/01/2016 19:16

Thanks. I did watch it in the 80s when I was little but don't remember. Think I remember storylines from mid-90s onwards.

millimat · 17/01/2016 14:56

Didn't Percy go into sheltered accommodation?

MissBattleaxe · 18/01/2016 09:12

All I remember is Phyllis with her 80-fags-a-day voice and Percy saying "I made gravy under shellfire". Best catchphrase ever.

Rachel0Greep · 18/01/2016 10:23

Recently watched a hilarious clip (from the days when Corrie was great), of Phyllis arriving at Emily's house with a present for Percy, on Christmas Day. Emily invites her to join them, and when Percy arrives back into the room, holding forth about the pudding, he is most disconcerted to find Phyllis at the table. Brilliant stuff Grin

thenightsky · 18/01/2016 20:01

Help me out... how come Tracy and Robert-the-hair are back being lovey-dovey? I must have fallen asleep or missed a bit on Friday!

Akire · 18/01/2016 20:25

They are not he told her to do one, but Tracey's not giving in hence trying get him in restaurant for bunk up (was she just wearing undies n coat?)
