Yet another crime drama heading to our screens. I'm watching heaps of shows like this at the moment. Anyone else planning to watch?

I won't be watching live but will try to get on catch up ASAP. Looks intriguing.

I've just watched it & enjoyed it on the whole.

Didn't bother me that Frankie was the killer, just didn't find it plausible in that he was able to drive & shoot to kill in the state he was supposedly in when he got in the car.

Also wasn't keen on River being in love with Stevie.

Just seemed unnecessary somehow.

"it'll turn into Randall and Hopkirk (deceased)......... Yeah I am that old."

Oh yes-the original-even the remake was 15yrs agoShock

gaggiagirl · 21/11/2015 14:00

Vic and bob were in the remake weren't they. Crazy!

Diddl - always love your perspective. Smile

Prefer detective stories without the love guff, requited or not.

"Unforgotten" was good at that. Families with family stuff going on - her dad, his daughters - but no melodrama skewing the story.

Movingonmymind · 21/11/2015 19:25

Loved it! Quirky, sensitive and unexpected. Rather refreshing in a cop show! Hope they make more.

I loved the way that the characters interracted & obviously they got on well & enjoyed working together so that I thought that that would have been enough for him to be devastated by her death-without him having to be in love.

That and of course the fact that he saw it happen!

gaggiagirl · 23/11/2015 00:33

Just seen stellan in angels and demons. Miss him already.

Bakeoffcake · 23/11/2015 00:53

I've caught up with the last four episodes today and am now an emotional wreck!

Frankie killing Stevie was a bit dissapointing but I'll forgive anything because the last 10 mins of this series was some of the best TV I've seen. I cried and realised I hadn't danced with DH for a long time and we need to rectify that.

gaggiagirl · 23/11/2015 01:03

bake that's so sweet. Me and DS danced around the living room to that song. He's only 9 weeks though so didn't appreciate it.

Bakeoffcake · 23/11/2015 10:08

Ahh how wonderful gaggiagirl. Congrats on your baby.Flowers

diddl Sssshhhhhh - I'm also old enough to remember the original Randall and Hopkirk Deceased Wink

gaggiagirl A lovely image of you and your newborn DS - congrats. I bet he did appreciate having such a happy Mummy.

Well my River addicts.........................

I was on-line looking for a new drama series for us to watch and I have found one!

New thread is here: MUMSNET CHAT THREAD FOR CAPITAL - BBC ONE 24th November 2015

And as I was setting up all the background posts so that you can read and decide whether to watch, guess what I noticed in a video?

G'awn guess! You know you can guess! From River ..... who was understated as an actor but we wanted to see more of him?

Yes! It is Ira King (Adeel Akhtar) back on our TV in CAPITAL.

ThatsNotMyRabbit · 24/11/2015 08:37

I love Ira. He was great in Utopia too (which I'm gutted to learn isn't coming back :( )

ThatsNotMyRabbit · 24/11/2015 08:38

Adeel, rather!!

Bakeoffcake · 24/11/2015 16:09

Oh thank you so much for the heads up Sadwidow, I'll be having a nosey at your link.

gaggiagirl · 25/11/2015 17:06

Oh brilliant thank you. I'll use the iPlayer on my new fangled modern tibterweb telly to catch up!
