River - BBC1 Drama

Yet another crime drama heading to our screens. I'm watching heaps of shows like this at the moment. Anyone else planning to watch?

Fucking hell, what an ending, I was a snotty, sobbing mess. Brilliant drama.

It's been a wonderful series. Perfect casting, superb acting, and that ending with River and Stevie was incredibly moving. It should win every award in the book.

Absolutely brilliant! Very weepy ending.

My son came down to get his supper and say goodnight. I gave him such a big hug, and explained I was crying because of a programme I was watching.

But why did the boy kill Stevie, was it because he knew she was investigating the family again and it would mean the family would be split again? Brilliant acting throughout.

Hi,all. Have emerged from lurker's corner to say that I also was tearful at the end. What a wonderful series.

Also what a visually beautiful ending. All those sparkling bits. They really loved each other

Great ending to a great series, one of the best in a long time.

So glad to read that others were sobbing. I'm going through some difficult life changes at the moment, never sure if my emotional responses are appropriate !
I was heartbroken about the fact that her and Frankie never had proper mother/son relationship and that her and River had never expressed their love in real life.
I wonder if things develop (behind the scenes, in fantasy land) with the psychologist as the showed her just lurking in the background at the end in her light blue duster coat.
I want to watch it all again.

A much better ending than that of Unforgotten.
