Time to start a new thread. Hopefully by the time this one has finished there will have been a terrible disaster and half the current cast will have disappeared.

At least Jazz-hands-Andrea is on her way out. I'd be grateful if she would take a coach-load with her.

I just noticed there's an episode tonight, at 8pm.

Hirples just saw that too - but the writing and acting at the minute is so dire I really can't be bothered to watch - will read this thread instead tomorrow...

Quick synopsis

There was some (pointless) stuff in the woods for the campers. Craig had his GCSE results phoned through (10 passes, 2 at A).

Jason discovered lying in ginnel, now unconscious in hospital.

Carla and Nick waffled on about something (CBA to listen properly) then snogged.

Jason really showed up Callum's bad acting today.

Tony remembered the assailants were in their 20s and 6ft/5ft 10ins, but failed to mention that one was black.

Good synopsis Angua. I watched, but kept thinking why am I watching this.

Catching up but confused- is alya not pregnant?! I thought she was but not been covered in couple weeks so confused.
I've only been half watching since discovering Emmerdale ;)

I haven't watched Corrie this year (apart from Deirdre's funeral & even then I recorded & fast forwarded the non Barlow bits)
But the headline of this thread caught my eye. Needless to say I still won't be watching it! but I want to remonstrate at the disparaging comparisons to the brilliant daytime soap that is Doctors.

Doctors is the best thing on TV, told, we all know that.

Just watched last night's - really dire.

Yeah, we just watched the last 2 episodes on catchup. All of us in the house were just wandering about chatting and looking for other stuff to do. It didn't capture our attention at all. Not good for a supposedly 'dramatic' event.

The camping story is doing nothing for me. They should have got a strong comedic actor for the part Paddy McGuinness is playing.

1994 Why would she have Eileens phone number She's only been back in the country a matter of months and it's not like Eileens someone she has anything in common with. I think it would have looked weird her phoning.

How bad was the acting in the hospital when they were talking about low iron etc.

Shayne Ward's acting was poor in the episodes last night. He was a little better than Sarah Harding but that's not saying much.

had no idea who Shayne Ward was so had to google him
is he not a singer? - so why is he given an acting role when there are probably hundreds of talented 'actors' resting
maybe it was nerves - his first big scenes - but he was very wooden and I felt embarrassed to be judging him
do the corrie producers think that 'celebs' will lift the program above the dire script and attract the 'yoof' ?
