Corrie Thread - you know it is bad when the best storyline is about a dog

Time to start a new thread. Hopefully by the time this one has finished there will have been a terrible disaster and half the current cast will have disappeared.

At least Jazz-hands-Andrea is on her way out. I'd be grateful if she would take a coach-load with her.

What business would dump their whole fleet on a small garage, and expect them to be serviced in a couple of days?!!! Just stupid.

MyBeloved · 27/10/2015 23:25

Did anyone else notice how long Gary spent pointing at himself after saying "me...?" in response to being offered a share of the gym? It was most disconcerting. He's a shit actor.

Wishful80smontage · 28/10/2015 16:42

Is callum alive?! Read some comments on the FB corrie pg that he's not actually dead but not seen anything in papers- can anyone she'd any light?
They said it was mentioned the plays drainage links up to factory I've not seen this but wasn't watching much before live episode.

Wishful80smontage · 28/10/2015 16:48

Platts drainage

southeastdweller · 28/10/2015 18:48

Can't find anything on the Corrie FB page or elsewhere online from anyone working on the show so it's just fan speculation.

ajandjjmum · 28/10/2015 19:18

Maybe that'll be the scriptwriter's plan for getting themselves out of the hole they've dug - literally! He'll turn up concussed, having been shunted through the drainage system, be found by those he owes, and murdered properly! Grin

SymphonyofShadows · 28/10/2015 19:39

There was a pic from the Corrie instagram of Callum though with the caption 'always good to see a friendly face'. I'm beginning to think he didn't die and got out, they can't do another Fiz/Stape miscarriage of justice surely?

TheSpectreOfMorningtonCrescent · 28/10/2015 19:53

Haven't watched for weeks, but god it's boring. Obviously that new one from the factory and our Sophie will be getting it on soon. (As there are no other lesbians in Manchester). Ken and Audrey? Really?

WotNoLoobrush · 28/10/2015 22:19

Latecomer here (long-time lurker to thread).

The idea that Callum might still be alive is interesting, although I don't hold much hope that the scriptwriters would put an effort into such a storyline twist now.

Is it me or is this discussion about a once very popular soap getting quieter as time goes on? Says it all reallySad. Let's hope for big improvements next year.

eddiemairswife · 28/10/2015 23:30

At last a mention of the camper-van, which apparently is no more. So do we assume that Mary now lives at Dev's?

desperatehousewife21 · 29/10/2015 09:02

Yes it's much easier to keep up with this thread as its a lot slower moving these days!

AnguaResurgam · 29/10/2015 09:06

Yes, the thread is quieter, because there's a limit to the number of times you can say 'that's awful' when the programme really has taken a turn for the worse. It's just not interesting enough for lengthy discussion. And even the rush of new posters praising the live episode has melted away.

OTOH: as the next few months are clearly going to be dire, I'd now kind of like it all to be about the uninteresting Connor clan (in Carla's absence) so they can all be culled in the new year. Less drastic than Audrey stepping out of Patrick Duffy's shower, but perhaps the same effect?

WotNoLoobrush · 29/10/2015 10:32

Exactly Angua re. the live episode which was good and now everything's back to 'normal', there's little to discuss.

I missed the mention of the campervan was only half watching

eddiemairswife · 29/10/2015 10:52

Did loads of people turn up driving the cars to the garage? How did they all get away without being seen at the Rover's , Roy's Rolls, Bistro or even waiting for a bus home?

SymphonyofShadows · 29/10/2015 12:00

I keep falling off these threads because there is nothing to say apart from how rubbish it is.

MitzyLeFrouf · 29/10/2015 13:38

Apparently Ken is 83 and Audrey is 71 (or at least the actors who play them are). To look at them you'd never guess there was 12 years between them would you?

MitzyLeFrouf · 29/10/2015 13:42

I hope Callum is still alive. There's no way they're going to let the story go on without him being alive or his body being discovered.

desperatehousewife21 · 29/10/2015 15:41

83!? Blimey he's doing well for 83 and I would not have guessed he was that age.

southeastdweller · 29/10/2015 19:40

They both look great. I'm coming round to the idea of them being together.

Episode on tonight at 8 as there's only one episode tomorrow.

WotNoLoobrush · 29/10/2015 19:46

Just noticed Corrie's on tonight at 8.

WotNoLoobrush · 29/10/2015 19:46

oopsBlush

BoGrainger · 29/10/2015 20:14

There's a bag of flying saucers on the counter in the Kabin called UFO'S. Do you think it's a deliberate mistake just to check if we are still watching?

eddiemairswife · 30/10/2015 19:57

I'm a heartless soul; had a good laugh at Gary this evening.

WotNoLoobrush · 30/10/2015 20:03

I'm afraid I found the scenes with Gary really hard to watch.

carabos · 30/10/2015 21:08

Ken and Audrey getting together would be about the most sensible storyline either of them has had in decades IMO .
