Ditto Rhu but Debra Winger was a right dragon to work with apparently - a bit up herself, hence not much heard from her again; no-one would work with her. Who in their right mind would be full of ego when RG is about to carry you off, dressed in full naval uniform? #absurd

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 21:44

Wait for it but I've never actually seen Pretty Woman! I do intend to see it though.

ice have you heard anything much about what BA's up to at the moment or any new pics of him? It seems a while since we've seen anything new.

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 21:45

Can't say I can remember Debra Winger in anything else other than a film called Black Widow - a very
long time ago. You're right woof she must have been mad.

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 21:46

What Kelly? - fallen off the sofa in shock!

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 21:51

I know rhu. It's not good really, is it? I think it's because I was never hugely keen on Julia Roberts, I'm not sure why. Although I did like her in Mystic Pizza. That was quite a small film but still brilliant. I think I was more into my comedies or war films when I was younger (which I suppose was strange for a girl). But when all the kids are at school, I'll start and watch some of these ones I missed.

icemistOBE · 03/07/2015 22:01

Nothing at all kel last I heard he was filming Lucky Man but not sure how big his role is so might be all done.

Feel better pix Flowers

On screen couples - as already said, pretty woman is fab. Oh, and if anybody else watches scandal, I love the Olivia / Fitz chemistry there..

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 22:10

Thanks ice.

When I was walking round Asda tonight, I was thinking, you never see any pictures taken of him walking round somewhere food shopping but I suppose he's not recognisable when he's not wearing his combats and he's got his beanie on his head.

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 22:12

Perhaps he gets it delivered Kelly or eats out all the time. Perhaps he gets lots of invites for dinner - can't think why!

Ilovelblue · 03/07/2015 22:14

Rhubarb and Kelly I would offer him a permanent invitation to dinner! Haven't we already decided he'd be a pudding man? I do some rather good puds.......

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 22:18

I bet he gets lots of dinner invites rhu! I wonder if I sent him one, he'd come round here?

Mind you, I'm thinking of getting our food shopping delivered. It's a constant battle stopping the boys chucking out food that you've just put in the trolley. Plus the boys all of sudden deciding to start screaming in the middle of an aisle right next to strangers. Poor people end up getting the fright of their lives.

pixieg1rl · 03/07/2015 22:20

Northern Exposure was Joel and Maggie. I loved that. USA TV had another go at the Alaska plot with Men in Trees which was sadly cancelled after 2 series. I watched them all in the period between leaving work and having DS. And then I watched every episode of Gilmore Girls on maternity leave.

All of these have good will they/won't they couples Kelly.

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 22:22

Actually pixie I loved Gilmore Girls too. I think I watched every episode. I loved it when Lorelei and Luke got back together and they kissed in the street - sigh!

cjwoofwoof · 03/07/2015 22:26

I'm guessing he shops in that suede diarrhoea jacket so everyone gives him a wide berth without realizing they're trolleying up the aisle with a sh*t coloured dreamboat.

Hope you're feeling better pix Flowers

pixieg1rl · 03/07/2015 22:34

Nothing like a 2 hour nap to set you up for a full nights sleep woof. I think sexy dwarves must be some kind of Stockholm syndrome developed when watching the hobbit. Didn't laurielove write something about it? I seem to remember the RA dwarf was hung like a donkey Wink

Ilovelblue · 03/07/2015 22:36

Pixie get well soon.

Kelly I'm not much help to you as I am useless on films (would definitely need a phone a friend if I were ever to be on Who Wants to be a Millionaire). I'm even less help when I say I don't actually mind MK in the new series but would like confirmation of BA's involvement in it!

Another thunderstorm here so not much point in going to sleep. Think I may watch the juicy bits of The Syndicate again! We got more bedroom scenes and even just kissing and handholding in that most recent episode than we ever saw in OG! Mind you, I definitely wouldn't kick that Richard Rankin out of bed on a cold night!

orphan · 03/07/2015 22:38

Oh I like Mystic Pizza kelly, but I love Julia Roberts and was always very envious of her hair and fascinated by the width of her mouth. I love My Best Friend's Wedding and particularly the scene when Rupert Everett sings 'say a little prayer'. They had great chemistry, despite him being gay in the film and of course in reality. I wanted her to run off and live happily ever after with him. Their dance together at the end always makes me well up.

pixie Flowersto you and I'm having a drink on your behalf so don't worry that you're not feeling up to one

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 22:41

No, no, no - RA can only be John Thornton in North & South - please don't mention hobbit dwarves. Got to say I hate all that Lord of the Rings stuff and all fantasy/sci-fi stuff except the original Star Trek. In later years it all got very touchy-feely peace between the strange plastic faced alien races and concern for their relationships etc. Much better when they were simply biffing and blowing up all alien space ships and pretending to fall about all over the place.

orphan · 03/07/2015 22:46

Ditto rhubarb, even I couldn't summon up the lust for RA dwarf, whereas North and South is one of my comfort watches. He's so good at the intense stare.

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 23:00

Ilove would you kick him out of bed on a warm night?

Ilovelblue · 03/07/2015 23:03

Let me think about that Rhubarb but not for very long, no I wouldn't kick him out end of story!

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 23:09

Fair point - the weather would have little to do with it!

Richtea19 · 03/07/2015 23:17

pixie hope you feel better Flowers.

I could recite the dialogue for Pretty Women, one of my favourite films. very rare to have a natural looking actress!

I've been sitting in the garden drinking prosecco with a girl friend, when I get a call from eldest DS "mum can you pick me up, I'm not well" It doesn't take a genius to work out his drunk. Fortunate DH was I and picked him up (as I couldn't drive, bad example mum!). Towels over bed and all over the carpet ready for the sick! Bucket atnthe ready! Stupid boy he has to be at the squadron tomorrow for some parade thing at 8am, hasn't shaved, didn't get a hair cut.. Grrrrrrr.

cjwoofwoof · 03/07/2015 23:23

Sympathies Rich my eldest DS away with mates in Spain at mo and seen a selection of Instagram pics on my other DSs iPad...enough said Shock Shock Shock

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 23:29

Yeah -Richtea I like to use the phrase 'slippery little suckers!' when I can find an 'appropriate moment'.

Thankfully haven't reached the please pick me up I'm pissed stage yet. Your arrangements sound a bit like my memories of that Spanish bathroom again or possibly one dreadful occasion in a Nightclub many years ago (student days - happy times eh!)
