Haha. Yup that is so me woof. All for above and beyond. But I would also have to take lots of pleasure out of running up to MK and informing her of the terrible news that the UK's supply of fake tan had ran out. She'd run off hysterical then I'd have to handcuff CJ and frogmarch him off to the interrogation container used in episode 4 and continue with my version of the "Missed me" scene after the door closes!!

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 14:50

Had to chuckle at this when I read it on Daily Mail online today. Apparently MK is filming scenes for a small budget film where her role demands her to get down and dirty with a homeless man! Yak.

Imagine filming that and then going to the dizzying heights of acting alongside CJ!

cjwoofwoof · 03/07/2015 15:05

kel I'm liking the cut of your jib for that kind of storyline. When you've finished the interrogation scene can you pop CJ over to the shower block for a good clean-up and I'll make sure I've been recruited as chief latrine cleaner and lurk behind the saloon doors of the adjacent cubicle, then burst in on him accidentally before losing all my clothes in the ensuing confusion and sharing his shower gel in a very intimate manner Grin

Ilovelblue · 03/07/2015 15:14

Rhubarb your Wimbledon comment made me laugh! I got caught out in the local post office at lunchtime. There seemed to be only one window open so I took the opportunity to eye up a very smart looking guy in a suit whilst he was doing his transaction and I was behind him. What I hadn't realised was that the second window was also open but because of the way the sun was shining in, I couldn't see the man behind the counter! He must have been watching me ogle Mr Suit Man for a good couple of minutes judging by the smirk on his face when I realised there was somebody there!

pixieg1rl · 03/07/2015 15:20

It's demonstration week at kiddie gymnastics this afternoon. I could think of a few things gymnastics man could demonstrate on me

apsara03 · 03/07/2015 19:19

Hi yes I'm not that far from Chatsworth -great adventure play area there for the kids as well. Hope the weather holds this weekend. It's so lovely Smile

icemistOBE · 03/07/2015 19:39

Walking to tram station this evening was a party of 6 rather handsome young men dressed as Goose and Maverick from Top Gun!

pixie I love the recreation of the paddling pool scene, you need DP/DH to wear one of the CJ blow up suits!!!

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 20:17

Wow ice I wouldn't mind being where you are. Did you know that they're going to make another Top Gun apparently?

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 20:23

If they're making another Top Gun then I hope they get the casting right. I've said it before but I can't think of a more mismatched couple than Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis. She is far to sensible and grown up to ever look twice at a little boy like Maverick - it must have been embarrassing for poor Kelly at the time even if it did boost her career. I hope they select a really believable couple this time.

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 20:25

And before anyone suggests it - no I don't want to see BA attempting an American accent and LT couldn't possibly play the part of a Pentagon Hotshot expert!

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 20:27

I was in America many years ago somewhere in the region of the Top Gun school and did see one of those big yellow buses with 'Fighter Town USA' on the side. That's all I can say about it.

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 20:31

Rhu I know, imagine hearing BA attempting an American accent. Didn't his CV or something say he was supposed to do a good one?

By the way, something terrible occurred when I was trying to watch the restaurant scene in OG a little while ago. It's the first time I tried to watch it since no Molly was announced and literally I was nearly crying I had to switch it off!! (don't mean to sound over dramatic).

This cannot be, as DH is out one night next week and I want to watch all episodes but I just can't get no Molly out my head when they're so perfect together. What can I do?

pixieg1rl · 03/07/2015 20:39

Well, I'm stuck in bed with a hideous UTI. I've soldiered on for 3 days with it but I've given up now. I feel so crap I don't even want a drink, so it must be bad. Hmm

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 20:41

Sorry to hear that pixie hope you feel better soon.

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 20:42

Oh Kelly that is worrying. I think you need some disassociation/reattachment therapy (I just made that up!). Think you need to stop watching OG for a bit and try to reattach your feelings to some new couple - suggestions needed from everyone here of other TV/Film couples with great chemistry. I'm going to start with a pretty weird one but I really like it - Robert Downie JR and Marisa Tomei in 'Only You'. Perhaps its the gorgeous Italian locations but I think they're great together in that. Over to the rest of you...

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 20:56

I don't think I've seen that film although Robert Downey Jr is a great actor. Oo re-attachment to another TV couple? Sounds a scary thought but one I could try. I remember watching Persuasion-the RPJ one and I thought him and Sally Hawkins had great chemistry.

Do you think it'll make a difference to you Rhu watching OG1 knowing Molly's not in the next one? (But hopefully we'll still get a cameo scene.)

Nickel45 · 03/07/2015 20:58

pix hope you get better soon ... and back on the grog!

kel, keep focused on TG being able to do justice to series 2 without LT. It'll be fine, I'm sure.

I really like Jude Law and whatsername in The Holiday ... OK, I really liked Jude Law in The Holiday, but that was very romantic. Ooh, and my Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 21:02

Yes to Persuasion - I watched that version only about a week ago and love RPJ and Sally Hawkins is a great actress. Love RPJ as well - currently working my way through 'Spooks' so plenty of action in that. I'm a sucker for costume drama so loved RPJ in The Thirty Nine Steps too - what a gent!

I think if I watch OG1 again (and I haven't for quite a while) I am just going to imagine them living happily ever after and any version of CJ I see in the future I am going to imagine that MD is at home doing something else.

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 21:11

The chap in My Big Fat Greek Wedding used to be in a drama on Channel 4 years ago called Northern Exposure about a doctor being sent to this weird small town in Alaska. There was great chemistry between the doctor and a dark haired woman in that - a kind of will they wont they. I can't remember their names(a very long time ago now) but it was quirky and fun.

KellyHb · 03/07/2015 21:11

Yeah. That's a good way to think of it rhu. I'll try to remember that. I knew I should've joined this thread back in October when everyone else sounded like me!

cjwoofwoof · 03/07/2015 21:24

kel you can't beat Richard Gere and Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman for good chemistry plus a happy ending. Damn! that man was hot 20-30 years ago.

Rhubarb01 · 03/07/2015 21:25

Plus Richard Gere did two films in uniform - Officer & a Gentleman and Yanks!

cjwoofwoof · 03/07/2015 21:26

Just pretending to enjoy The a Hobbit on tv with kids when all I'm really doing is checking out AT and RA as dwarves. I still wouldn't say no...

icemistOBE · 03/07/2015 21:28

I loved Northern Exposure and they are making a follow up to my big fat Greek wedding
