Corrie Thread - Bet Emily is relieved there is one less child for her 24 hour creche

With Miley gone, never to be heard of for the next 15 years until she turns up with a new head, at least Emily won't have to babysit her every day and night for the foreseeable future.

New thread where we can hope the scriptwriters wake up and actually start paying attention to plot lines and character histories.

I hear another grim storyline is on the cards, involving Fizz,who over-acts all the time anyway.

Marking spot. I have been watching for around 30 years (just remember Tracey's Christening). But, I missed a few in May when I had a big OU assignment to complete and I haven't started again because I was so uninspired, although I did watch the fire episode. I should start again shouldn't I? But what have I missed?

How did Liz find out sbout Tracey and Tony?
Is Andy still pretending to be Gavin?
Why is Brian back?
What is going on with Alya?
What is going on with Nick?

But what have I missed? Not a lot.

I can't guarantee I have all the answers because I'm hit and miss with watching, but I will try...

How did Liz find out sbout Tracey and Tony? Tracy told her, I think, when the plan to get The Rovers into Tony and Tracy's hands fell through. Carla bought a share instead, and stymied their great plan.

Is Andy still pretending to be Gavin? No. Got found out through a photo album that Michael's wife sent to him. Unfortunately the shock didn't kill Michael.

Why is Brian back? I think, to start the story of Julie's exit although at the moment she doesn't want him.

What is going on with Alya? She slept with Jason, and then told him that was her first time, afterwards. Other than that, she broke up with Gary, then he asked her to marry him, then tedium set in, in my head, and I don't know any more.

What is going on with Nick? He and Carla seemed to be about to become an item. Then Erica returned and revealed she was pregnant with his baby. Then she miscarried, on Friday night, afaik. Carla is due to leave later this year, unfortunately.

Oh no claw . I feel the will to live draining from me as I contemplate a Fizz storyline.

She used to be meek and mild, but now she's smug and fish-wifey. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being fish-wifey, mind. I just don't like her brand of it. I didn't miss her when she was gone, at all.

I agree Montagues, Fizz is dreadful.

Fizz can't act. But Sophie still reminds me of someone who is in a Drama class in secondary school, taking her GCSE Exam...destined to just scrape a C because she pushed a tear out and got one point for emotion

Just read about the Fizz story.Not something to look forward to.

I don't mind Fizz as a character and feel she's at her best when she looks after people (like Roy), but the actress who plays her is awful and I doubt will be able to do this new story justice, acting-wise.

Why, what's happening with fiz...

Actress who plays Fizz is close mates with Antony Cotton, which makes me hate her even more.

And no doubt it will be badly handled, and come to a sudden end, the Fizz storyline, like all the others, apart from the Platt / Callum saga, which looks set to drag on boringly forever.

Just clicked on the Fiz link. I don't think I'm going to like that. She was a good enough character till John Stape came along, theirs was a totally unbelievable relationship with some of the most far-fetched storylines I can remember on Corrie.

Just watched Friday's - Why did Fizz have to come back? I find her presence on screen really irritating, and her acting is terrible.

Any story line with Fizz makes me reach for the off switch. A big storyline with Fizz doing lots of crying would be unbearable to watch. It really will make me stop watching Corrie.

I'm wondering if Dan was one of Leanne's clients when she was a call-girl.

I am disappointed about how crap the Faye/Miley storyline has been and I think the OP is right, she is unlikely to be heard of again, at least in any significant way. There might be the odd Miley reference at Christmas etc. Does anyone else wonder whether there might be something with Tim and Anna? Would be a shame in a way though and Tim and Sally are great together

Yes I was at least expecting a why don't we do a months trial see how you feel then. Or Tim could have looked after the baby and Anna here and there I mean he lives with Sally but she's not relying on him to pay the rent.
