painted am intrigued by new and improved version 2 of CJ on a stick. What's going to be different? 3d contouring of certain critical parts perhaps?

Rhubarb01 · 21/05/2015 21:32

Cor where is everyone? I just popped in post eurovision songs before the results are announced and no one is here. Are you all watching as well? Confess - it feels good!

Rhubarb01 · 21/05/2015 21:32

Sorry Orphan you are obviously still here!

pixieg1rl · 21/05/2015 21:45

Still here rhubarb!

orphan · 21/05/2015 21:57

whajeb brilliant update! Love the cheeky bathroom interlude! Not happy that the end is in sight though. Am closing my eyes in denial.

Yes, rhubarb I'm still here, twiddling my thumbs whilst Rupert twiddles another part of me Blush Well, it is nearly Friday and I had a spare hour or two...

Rhubarb01 · 21/05/2015 22:06

Yes, back now. Another two hours moonlighting elsewhere. Would love to say I was really excited by the prospect of Eurovision - sadly not. Fractionally better than Tuesday but not much!

orphan · 21/05/2015 22:19

OK, another nostalgic 'what did you used to read?' query. What about the Flambards trilogy and its controversial fourth book? Also by KM Peyton, the Pennington series about the troubled yet musically gifted Patrick Pennington?

pixieg1rl · 21/05/2015 22:20

Ah, yes I did like Flambards. Don't remember a 4th book though

Nickel45 · 21/05/2015 22:30

I've been out at a meeting, back now!

What is it with the cardigan? I like the pic from above the pants!! I did like Neville in BS42, he lost loads of weight and worked out really hard, apparently, once he discovered he had some shirtless scenes ... Or so I read somewhere!

icemistOBE · 21/05/2015 22:36

I do like Eurovision but I don't watch it during the week. I'll be glued to it on Sat.

Orphan I did read Flambards and confession time I've got a boxset of the TV series. It had very strange music but I like the story. Don't remember the 4th book though!

orphan · 21/05/2015 22:46

Yes pixie she wrote it several years later, after the TV series. Flambards Divided. In it Christina and Mark got together which infuriated lots of readers.

Rhubarb01 · 21/05/2015 22:51

There was always a bit of sexual tension between them wasn't there but that sounds unfair to poor old Dick who was the working class lad who bettered himself.

Just got Question Time on - not only is the very scary ex-dragon Hilary Devay on there but I've just decided that Nicky Morgan (Education Minister) looks like a brunette Clare Balding - or is it me?

WHAJEB1 · 21/05/2015 23:08

Thank you orphan Grin

Nickel45 · 21/05/2015 23:21

I think my education is sadly lacking, I've not read any of these!!!

orphan · 21/05/2015 23:39

nickel I was horse mad as a child so the Flambards books were an obvious choice for me in the 70s cos they were about horses with a bit of early aviation thrown in for good measure.

Nickel45 · 21/05/2015 23:44

Phew, feel better, I was not horsey at all ... Not even sure there were horses anywhere near where I grew up! I read the chalet school books!!! Mind, still like them now, nice and easy to read! Tying to get DS interested in reading Enid Blyton, so I can revisit all of them again, but he so isn't!

Ilovelblue · 21/05/2015 23:55

Crikey ladies, getting withdrawal symptoms tonight through not being able to see what the latest is on here. It's been the crappiest of crap days. Started off with a visit to the doctor - the "lay back and think of CJ England" sort. I wanted to see one of our female doctors and of course there's always a wait but the receptionist offered me somebody I'd not heard of before. Turns out (when I got in the consulting room) that she is there doing her year out in a GP surgery and asked if she could video the consultation so obviously I said no. Then I seriously wondered if she knew what the hell she was doing as she made a complete bgger of the examination and said she needed to get her mentor (a man) in to supervise. Fortunately for me, he had been called away so now I have to go through the whole sdding thing again next week.

Then we have two worrying conference calls at work - one to say the company is being split into two (there have been rumours for ages that we have a buyer sniffing around ready to take us over) and the other to discuss redundancies. On the surface, the first one won't impact us, though nobody is naive enough to believe that and the redundancy thing THANKFULLY says I'm out of scope. Hurray for that.

In between times, I couldn't get on to the ff website via my phone. Had anyone else had problems? Going to read all the new ones now before going to sleep. Think I'm a bit too het up to sleep straight away in any case.

To top off a thoroughly lovely day, I went for a garden tour at the invitation of my Amsterdam friend. She's in a garden club and the folk in it thoroughly annoy me - either very pretentious or just are there for the social chit-chat, not even bothering to listen to the person giving the tour of his well tended garden. She keeps asking me to join but I couldn't stand them all and would end up telling them to shut up!

Moan over and thanks for listening!!

SoEverybodyDance · 21/05/2015 23:57

Hello Everyone thanks for all your comments on the latest cheeky chapter, glad you all enjoyed it... I had lots of fun writing it too!

Missed a lot on here today, still laughing at the idea of a waterproof, smearproof, rubproof CJ doll that issues erotic orders. What are you ladies like? If I was BA, I'd be contemplating a move to a small, remote island right now!

Whajeb just read your latest, do love the subtle way you write and there was much fun for us today with all the double entendres that his mother picked up on. Could never have imagined that in a million years before I read your chapter, but you worked it well, girl!

Woof loved your update dear... I loved the image of mummy reeds hidden in the wardrobe sniffing the props. What a masterstroke!

Richtea19 · 21/05/2015 23:57

Oh dear Neville Longbottom in Y fronts.. It's a no from me! Really do remind me of old man pants, although his are still white.

So excited about Eurovision. We have some family over for dinner as Little DS's birthday, but I will have to insist that the telly is on.

orphan flambards rings a bell, but maybe from TV, was it ever televised?

I've just got in so too late to read FF, but something to look forward to.

DH at football writers dinner, player of the year, but he texted me to say the the winner, someone fro Chelsea didn't turn up. Waste of an evening and ticket price! I've been to see my friend with the gay husband. She has finally sold the family house and thankfully been able to buy somewhere for her and the boys to live. He has been a complete knob/tosser (sorry, don't often say that but have to!!!!) and made things very difficult for her. I can't beieve what she's had to cope with.

Is the new version of CJ on a stick laminated, painted? Might help with the wet patches!!!!!

SoEverybodyDance · 22/05/2015 00:04

Sorry to hear about your crap day Ilovelblue. That visit to your doctor sounds like a bad comedy. Video! What planet was she on? Sorry to hear about upheaval at work, must feel unsettling... hope you're feeling a bit better now and tomorrow is a significant improvement...

Ilovelblue · 22/05/2015 00:08

Dance to be fair she did ask if she could video it for her case study or whatever they have to do BEFORE I told her why I was there, but it just set everything off on the wrong foot. It was a perfect lesson for her in how NOT to start a consultation.

At least I still have a job - it's not the first time we've been through this, but each time you start to wonder "is it going to be me this time". At least they're trying to do it all with voluntary redundancies if possible.

Nickel45 · 22/05/2015 00:14

richtea was it Drogba? ... Naughty boy, not turning up.
ilove hope you have a better day tomorrow. Sending hugs x glad it looks like the redundancies will miss you, but it's very unsettling I bet.

Paintedcherryblossoms · 22/05/2015 07:28

Good morning Smile so tired last night, had a hot bath and then DH found me asleep on top of the bed still had the towel turban on this morning when I woke up.
dance did get the chance to read the latest in the bath (I know the iPad will meet its maker at some point by indulging in this bad habit) it was so cleverly written it was like I was there watching the verbal tennis match between them - great fun !
ilove glad to hear changes don't effect you. The shoe is on the other foot at the moment for me as I am fronting some changes and being on the delivery end isn't easy if you care about people. Sad
On a lighter note don't want to spoil any potential future reveal but CJ on a stick V2 may involve reviving my needlework skills and I of course always take my inspiration from the hints and tips on here.
Have a lovely day everyone ...it's a long weekend coming up yippee we are taking my DS to Dr Who in Cardiff on Monday with a stopover in the Hilton so looking forward to the break Smile

Richtea19 · 22/05/2015 07:46

With you in the tired front painted I feel like I could sleep for a week. One more day at work and then a long !weekend, yippee.

ilove I amazed at your doctors encounter. Mad!

nickel it was Ian Hazard, apparently he had to have emergency dental work
