Hi Ladies of the Collective

Captain James here. The woman you know as Ilove has just done something silly because she has left her laptop unattended when one of her neighbours came in to ask about our forthcoming trip to Scotland. This neighbour had spotted the Range Rover drawing up across the road so is quizzing Ilove as to who I am I suppose. In the meantime, I thought I'd investigate what all you ladies do when you are tapping away on your various devices when you think I'm not looking. I recognise quite a few names on here.

Ilove has explained about the trip to Edinburgh tomorrow. I am quite excited as I've only been to Scotland once other than on exercise and that was to Glasgow for a stag weekend so Ilove has promised to show me the sights.... and then there's the kilt fitting! I was a bit perturbed about it at first but think I might quite enjoy it especially as Richtea and orphan are coming up to assist and they are apparently very skilled in this important role so they will be there to reassure me.

I've been globetrotting these past few months with you ladies. Bath, Amsterdam and then Edinburgh tomorrow with Ilove, then Kenya with Pixie and Ilove has whispered something about France in August and then Vienna in September as well. I hope she doesn't want me to carry her suitcase because boy when we were going to Amsterdam, she doesn't believe in travelling light!

Going to see what Ilove has packed for Edinburgh and might take half of it out because she won't need it.

Oh CJ you are brave taking a chance on iloves laptop while she chats. You should probably go and prepare yourself for the massive helping of pie she's about to serve up for you. Whatever you do, tell her it's the best pie you've ever tasted!

It's Ilove this time, honest.

That man is so devious. He deliberately tricked me I think into having a long chat with my neighbour so that he could get onto my laptop. I've realised he's unpacked half my suitcase as well. He's just given me a lecture but I don't give a stuff what you can pack in a bergen. This is my suitcase and I'll take whatever I want. You have to be prepared for the weather and what the hell does he know about cosmetics?

I may just withhold his ration of rhubarb pie for that!

Laughing out loud at come prepared Jen... Trying to work out of I can weave that line into a future chapter!!!

Well, we're off to bed as we need an early night. Need to set the alarm for 6am tomorrow for the train and I'll soon find out if CJ has come prepared tonight! I think he liked my "Have some human decency...." alarm call last time. He is rather vain! He asked me to let him have the link to it for his own phone.

I need to get an early night. I'm counting votes tomorrow night, no sleep until Friday night.

It's very important to come prepared, you filthy minded lot. It's a rule for life. I'll be doing my bit and coming many times prepared on Saturday evening

Dear all, Just catching up after a frantic few days of of RL and FF, culminating in the discovery, tonight, that my DH was trying to feed our little boy a cosmopolitan ice cream. Thankfully he hadn't licked it... but GOD, what the hell are men for, when they are not doing the obvious! Can someone tell me please?

Anyway, having chuckled at Woof's glorious new chapters, I am feeling a lot better. What a fun writer you've turned into Woof! I hope you're going to keep those chapters coming! (And I will try to scratch out a few more photos)

Painted, that photo of your dog was amazingly beautiful, a bit like an old Dutch master painting. Can you blow it up and frame it?

Kezia sorry that life has been a bit rough recently, but glad that Orphan and Woof's banter is cheering you up. I think I miss a lot of their delightfully absurd conversations, but those I see are very very funny...

Thanks Icemist Nipper Ilovelblue Orphan and BK28 for the shout out... Ice you read it twice... that's dedication! I had such a hard time writing this one, I kept going back and adding more and then getting confused and moving sentences around, and I just thank god it's gone and no one's said 'but it doesn't make sense' yet!

Nickel I did go canoeing on the Ardeche in France several years ago which was an amazing experience and I once had the opportunity to abseil at school. Typically though, I looked down from the top of the cliff, decided it was too high and went off for a fag behind the toilets. How tragic I am! What a great opportunity I missed.

I am just a few miles away from the agency in it's up-your-own-arse location, but I used to work in a building in said square, so feel a bit reluctant to chain myself naked to the railings, even on BA's behalf, just in case I bump into an old work colleague! That would be embarrassing. Would be happy to put any Agency raiders up for the night though if they are travelling far!

To be honest, I reckon this thread must be BA's worst nightmare. If I was one of his friends, I would be taking round extracts to read to him/take the piss out of him.

Dance I used to think I'd like Graham Norton to read our comments out whilst interviewing BA on his couch. That was just after OG had finished. Now I think I would cringe and hide behind the sofa and blush furiously. If there is a second series of OG, I am sure some researcher or other on Graham Norton's show would pick up on our fantasies.

Different subject of sorts: just watching the last of the election stuff on our local news and they've done a highlights video of the three main party leaders when they were canvassing up here. What tune did they set it to? "Whatta Man"!! Now how can they compare David, Nick and Ed with our wonderful CJ?

Having said I would catch up on FF today, I haven't had a chance. Phoning round 6th forms of local schools as DS is having melt down about his GCSEs and now atnthe last minute worried about grades... I could scream.... I have been banging on about bloody revision for months. I am going to be grey (greyer) at the end of this summer... Breathe :)

On a lighter. It's glad that CJ has been delivered by the very capable Bk. I bet that was fun in the Range Rover, leather seats too! And I'm really looking forward to our kilt measuring.

I watched ep 5 last night, usually it's ep 2 and 3 but had a hankering for it. Have also managed to send ep 3 from my laptop to tablet, so I can watch it on way to/from work if I want :)

Morning. Well CJ was certainly a keen and eager soldier last night. Thank goodness I can sleep on the train up to E'burgh. Need to leave shortly. CJ thought we had the chauffeur driven Range Rover again and seemed a bit put out he would have to rough it on the train but I told him he'd get more admiring glances this way. I'll get lots of envious looks too!

Will ask CJ about Ireland. Am sure he'll be up for it. He's up for most things....

Lip bite! Thank you icemist. I read the ff by Twochicks which for some reason I've managed to completely miss until now and she is clearly a fan of the infamous lip bite and tongue roll. I really enjoyed a bit in her story where CJ uses them to great advantage.

ilove just wondered if CJ might fancy a week on the inland waterways in August .. think he could be useful putting some bloody effort into opening those lock gates in low slung combats!! Thought I'd ask!!

Whajeb that was a stonking chapter of kinship this morning...please don't doubt yourself.. sometimes you need a gentle slow build up (no euphemism here) in storytelling and it really suits your writing style! Have a good weekend and we wait with baited breath for the next update!!

ilove you do need to stay alert on the train... the reason I transport CJ in closed vehicles is to prevent ambush opportunities or disguise merchants!! I hope you haven't gone cattle class, he does like a bit of luxury upholstering!!
