So Banished has been cancelled... That was a quick decision. Think showing it and Poldark at the same time albeit diff channels and day prob did it no favour.

Looking to finish early today to be at home for when BK and CJ appear. Still got my sore throat and sniffly nose. Not ideal when you have a special visitor staying overnight.

I started reading that new ff which had appeared and like the rest of you, lost heart because of the poor grammar. Just gone back in to try it again and to see what comments it had attracted and it seems it has been taken down......

Should be with you I love about 7.30
Had some issue with the leather upholstery, but it was nothing that a quick slow rub down couldn't solve. Anyway we are just waiting for a lull in the traffic to continue on our way. CJ has been well debriefed and is now very chilled! Intimated that a trip north of the border might be on the cards,but not given any detail!!

Nickel I gave up on emergency cover insurance for oil boiler after a breakdown in mid winter and they couldn't come out for 48 hours! Now have a local plumber who services boiler annually, and for breakdowns will come out same day, he's also very reasonable cost wise. Would add that in 10 years only had to call him in emergency twice....... fingers and everything else crossed now I've said that Hmm. Hope you get sorted soon.

Thanks everyone. I harnessed the power of the CJ Collective, was very polite and firm and didn't accept what they were saying, told them that they couldn't tell me now that my insurance was suspended ... they should have written to me and told me at the time, what am I - a mind reader?!!?! .... and the man is coming tomorrow to fix it under my policy. Just hope I haven't jinxed it by telling you, but fingers crossed. I think actually getting it fixed will do for now, rather than hoping for a CJ look alike ... but if he is, you'll be the first to know! But I will be cancelling my insurance after this. Blimmin' numpties! Saving the feeling proud of myself until he actually turns up and fixes it though!

Oh how totally frustrating re the insurance nickel I am not sure if I could have kept my cool on the phone! Really don't know why we bother with insurance at all! It is a job creation scheme really!!

Will have the food almost ready by 7.30 BK so we can eat as soon as he's had a wash and brush up. I have wrapped your pie up with a few other goodies so you can have a picnic on your way home. You do realise why I can't ask you to stay too long, don't you? I am normally a good hostess but it's not often I have such a handsome man to myself and have to make the most of the time we have....

ilove No problem i've been up close and personal with him all the way in the reclined position in the car...it is chauffeured... You didn't think i was driving all that way did you?? A little something for the home journey would be lovely!

orphan can't believe you're not letting me come to the kilt fitting after I sweet talked them into giving you and rich a trial as seamstresses. Shocking. Grin

I've been working with the author of what about me today, she's taken it down to make some changes then going to repost later. I don't know her but I applaud anyone who has a go, accepts criticism with grace and takes up help offered. Hopefully the new chapter will be an easier read and she will get done positive feedback. I never would have started without the help of whajeb to proof read. As orphin spotted this morning I still make some clanging typos.... Did nobody else wonder what interlocking their gingers might involve???!!!!

Bk well didn't I just feel like a raspberry in the car - some of those positions you contorted yourself into were eye watering. As for my black leather upholstery disguise, I've had to call Rupert round again to bring his special salve for chafing.

jen I was only trying to protect CJ - kilt fitting can be quite traumatic when done by rich and me anyway and CJ may not want to be seen in such a vulnerable state.

BK am very impressed with your timings. Spot on there. CJ is even complimenting you on your military precision. He's freshening up now as we speak. Hope you enjoy your pie! Not sure the neighbours have ever seen a chauffeur driven Range Rover on this road before. Curtains were certainly twitching!

When do I tell him about the kilt fitting? May see how it goes later on tonight and drop it into conversation.
